The last few months have been filled with heartache for Khloe Kardashian. She has been dogged by reports of husband Lamar Odom's cheating (with more than one woman) and crack binges. Even the strongest marriages couldn't survive a nightmare like that. What's worse, she has gone through his misery with the world rabidly watching every single second of it. Well, Khloe let us all know what we can expect from her as this drama continues to unfold. In her most revealing and poignant Instagram post to date, she shared this ...

Those eight simple words tell it all. This was probably the best response Khloe could have ever given at this point. She won’t explain what happened to the world because she probably can’t even explain it to herself. No one gets married thinking that one day the romance will crash and burn in a haze of seedy headlines. Sure, she tied the knot with Lamar after only dating 30 days. Most people didn't think it would last four months, much less four years. For a period of time, she seemed to be the Kardashian sister with the fairy tale romance -- sweet guy, totally in love, etc.

We are understandably intrigued by her imploding marriage. After all, they have given us front row seats to their lives. But even she finally acknowledges that some things aren’t for the cameras. Now she needs to figure out what went wrong and come to terms with it in her own time. That could mean going through a divorce or trying to piece their marriage back together. However this ends, I hope she finds the answers she is looking for.

Bomb-Throwing Beauty Queen Shows an Ugly Side

Well THIS is not the kind of behavior we expect from our beauty queens. Utah teen pageant winner Kendra McKenzie Gill pled guilty for tossing homemade bottle bombs. The charge is officially "attempted possession of a chemical device." Kendra will have to pay a $500 fee and do 200 hours of community service, and then the charges will be dropped from her record. She also won't face federal charges as part of her plea bargain. So it's a good thing she entered that plea -- but wow, I bet her pageant days are over.

So here's what Kendra and a couple of friends had been up to. Basically they were driving around, throwing plastic water bottles filled with toilet bowl cleaner, which reacted to the aluminum foil inside, into people's yards. I guess it's the geeky science project version of driving by and shooting up people's mailboxes. No one was harmed by the prank, but imagine if a toddler had been hiding behind the shrubs at the last minute.

This same young lady had just won a $2,000 scholarship from a beauty pageant, partly because of her performance of a Scott Joplin piano piece. Now she could have her title revoked. And she may never get to compete in a Miss Utah or Miss America pageant -- you have to have a clean criminal record to compete.

Aren't these pagent girls supposed to be exemplary or something? Aren't they supposed to be so busy training they have no time for such mischief? I can see how the pressure might make you want to goof off, but this is too much. What a total disregard for the safety of others. Not to mention, now I want to make jokes about being a bombshell -- oh never mind. I'm not going there! (In writing, anyway...) Mostly it's just sad Kendra isn't as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. AWW! Did I make you throw up a little in your mouth? Sorry, I had to say it.

Kailyn Lowry's Gorgeous Wedding Shows How Beautiful a Theme Can Be (PHOTOS)

I'm going to be honest here. In the past, when I've heard the words "theme" and "wedding" together in one sentence, I died a little inside. Something about a themed wedding just seems kind of wrong. But when I saw Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry's positively adorable Under the Sea themed wedding ceremony, I ate my words. Put a little salad dressing on them and ate them right up. And let me tell you: They were bitter going down.

Kailyn shared some super cute snaps of her recent ceremony to Javi Marroquin, and the whole day looks unbelievable (but, let's be honest here, her son, Isaac, in a tux steals the show). The lighting is low; the colors are gorgeous; and, well, for a wedding with a theme, it looks pretty classy.

But here's what I love best about this: Kailyn couldn't look happier. There she is, grinning from ear to ear, pregnant as all get out, arm full of tattoos, not caring what anyone thinks. That's what's most beautiful about this day. She decided to say "screw it" to tradition and did things exactly the way she wanted. I admire that.

But not as much as I admire this photo of Isaac. Good god, does this kid know how to wear a tux. Congrats, Kailyn and Javi!

Photographer's '4th Trimester Project' Shows the Beauty of the Post-Baby Body (PHOTOS)

How did you feel about your body right after giving birth? For most of us, pregnancy and childbirth leave us feeling like our bodies have been "ruined," or at least altered in ways we're not altogether thrilled about. But what if we could change that? What if we could see our post-baby bodies as powerful and beautiful? Pinup and boudoir photographer Ashlee Wells Jackson has made that her mission. Her 4th Trimester Bodies Project is a series of photos showing mothers' bodies in all their post-baby glory, seeing them through a loving, empowering lens.

So how did a pinup photographer end up focusing on post-baby bodies, anyway? We talked with Jackson to find out what her inspiration was and what these photos mean to her subjects.

Jackson began the project soon after becoming a mother herself. She experienced a very traumatic pregnancy and labor that left her struggling with her strange, new body. But she'd been thinking about issues of body image for women even before then. Through her work photographing everyday women looking to transform themselves through pinup photography, Jackson gained an innate sense of how women feel about themselves. No matter what her clients looked like, how traditionally beautiful or otherwise, everyone seemed to have body issues. Everyone felt they had flaws.

After Jackson had her baby and conceived the 4th Trimester Bodies project, she knew that in order to find subjects, she'd have to "pull the trigger, too." So the first photos were self-portraits. She posted her photos on Facebook (she didn't have a website yet), and invited her friends to join the project. She assumed it would be hard to get volunteers, but to her surprise, other women were eager to join the project. "It grew organically from friends, to friends of friends, and so on."

It could also have been her approach. Jackson has no screening process. "We don't ask a lot of questions," she says. All you have to be is a new mom willing to do a session. Once a subject arrives for a shoot, they start off slowly. Jackson has her subjects' hair and makeup done (lightly) even though most of the portraits are taken from the neck down. The hair and makeup session gives her a chance to visit a little with her subjects, and helps them get more comfortable and bring their guard down.

By the time Jackson goes to take the actual photos, her subjects are feeling more comfortable with the shoot, and it takes just a few minutes to take those photos. Then women stay to live-edit the photos with Jackson, giving them more of a say in how they're represented. It becomes a truly collaborative project.

And then the results -- not only are the photos arrestingly beautiful (as you can see), it's a "really empowering and transformative experience for all our subjects," Jackson says.

Most contestants show up for Dancing With the Stars rehearsals in yoga pants or some sort of appropriate flexible clothing, but check out how dolled up Christina Milian is arriving at the studio!

She's not exactly dressed for the ballroom. In fact, she looks more like she's auditioning for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie or something. (Sorry honey, that role is already snagged.)

I mean, doesn't she have the whole dominatrix vibe going on? She definitely appears to be a woman on a mission. I wonder if Mark Ballas has any idea what he's in for this season, considering Christina has no qualms about showing up in an outfit like this.

Man. Those boots are really somethin' else. When it comes to high boots, there's thigh-high, and then there's beyond thigh-high, a category these definitely fall into. (I wonder if they're tough to get on?)

And how about that sleek bodysuit she's wearing? That's not exactly an easy look to pull off unless you're in amazing shape. Christina obviously has the body of a dancer even though the show is only entering its second week.

If this particular ensemble gives us any indication of how daring Christina will be with her performances as the DWTS season moves forward, then the rest of the competition probably needs to kick things up a notch or two. Any woman who isn't afraid to show up to rehearsals looking like she's ready to give Christian Grey a taste of his own medicine means business.

Military Dad Takes 4-Year-Old Daughter's Teddy Bear on Deployment and Shows Her the World

We see a lot of the heartwarming homecomings when military men and women reunite with their families after long deployments overseas. They're emotional and beautiful, and we wonder how they're able to make such a sacrifice. While nothing makes it easy, families do find ways to stay in touch and keep that bond though miles separate them. Coast Guard officer Gerald Orellana and his family provide a unique and heartwarming example.

According to a story at the Huffington Post, Orellana's daughter, Evelyn, gave him her prized stuffed teddy bear when he was about to leave for his deployment to the Arctic. Her mom, Irene, said Evelyn didn't want him to be lonely. "She knew that she and I would have each other, but Gerald wouldn't have our family."

So Gerald set out with "Evelynbear" in his suitcase, which is sweet enough. But it gets even sweeter.

Gerald didn't just keep the bear packed away in his suitcase and take her out once in awhile when no one was looking. He actually took Evelynbear on adventures with him, then sent pictures back to his wife and daughter to show just how much fun she was having.

There are pictures of the bear on the ship, in the snow, and in a cigar shop. She even has a uniform! Since Gerald will reportedly be deployed for the rest of year, we can only imagine what else they'll see her do. It's such a sweet and simple way for the family to share the experiences together even though they're worlds apart.

Nothing can make it painless to not have a parent there for the day-to-day activities and milestones, but things like this help ease the pain a bit.

‘X Factor’ Contestant Rion Paige Delivers Most Amazing Performance in Show’s History (VIDEO)

September 11 marked the season premiere of X Factor, and one performance in particular stood out among the rest. This 13-year-old contestant even made Simon Cowell smile, believe it or not. Ah, pending fatherhood. Anyway, Rion Paige went up on stage and belted out an amazing rendition of Carrie Underwood's hit "Blown Away" during her audition in Charleston, South Carolina.

Not only was Simon impressed, Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland, and Paulina Rubio were also, well, "blown away" (how many times is that gonna happen?). But as you can see, this talented teenager has had her fair share of difficulties in life, and she has risen above them in a way that would make anyone proud and a tad weepy.

Rion has arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, which has made growing up a bit challenging for her. She's had it since birth; fortunately, it isn't progressive. "My hands, like, they’re curved differently because of my joints," she explained. "So I have to learn things differently, and I’m almost permanently blind in my right eye."

Poor, brave girl! But she had her very supportive mom along with her. "The fact that Rion’s getting on stage today ... makes me nervous," her mom said. "I feel like she’s prepared, and it’s not [for] me to hold her back. It’s for me to give her every opportunity and say, 'It’s your time to fly, baby.'"

And fly she did. Sorry, that was cheesy, but this girl is awesome! Of course the judges had nothing but positive things to say as well.

"I remember the day I met Carrie Underwood and I remember predicting this girl was going to go on and do special things with her life," said Cowell. "And I’m gonna say the same thing about you, Rion." Whoa, can't get a much higher compliment than that, can you?

And as Paulina says, "Music heals everything."

Whether it's the Kardashians in their mansions or the Real Housewives with their real jewelry and fake boobs, reality TV is as far from most Americans' "reality" as it gets. Until recently. Suddenly, the latest reality show celebs speak with distinct twangs and drawls, live in trailers and swamps, and are more about hogs and pit bulls than race horses and Pomeranians. They also may or may not have seen a dentist -- ever.

Call it a backlash. Call it a desire to see a way of life that's slightly more "real" than what the one percenters live. Call it sketti. Call it a Redneck Renaissance. Honey Boo Boo follows the adventures of 7-year-old Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and her hillbilly-esque family, including Mama June and Sugar Bear. The names alone are redneck heaven: Besides Honey Boo Boo, there's Pumpkin, Chickadee, and Chubbs. Non-rednecks were horrified at Honey's "Go Go Juice" of Red Bull and Mountain Dew. It's one of cable's highest rated shows.

'Time' Magazine's 'Childfree' Life Article Shows Moms What They Are Missing

As someone who has not taken a vacation in the seven years since my twins were born -- a real one that involves lying in the sand in a bathing suit -- Lauren Sandler's Time magazine cover story about life being better without kids seriously struck a nerve.

My daughters aren't only the best thing I have ever done, they were a hard-won prize that came with one of those harrowing IVF stories we are all accustomed to hearing now. When motherhood didn't come easily to me, I was devastated, depressed, and distraught. The idea that the thing I most desperately wanted in my entire life might never happen was equal to annihilation. Yes, that real and that intense.

I hate being away from my girls. But this summer they have been lucky enough to spend weekdays at day camp in the country with grandparents and a babysitter running the ship while my husband and I work. And I am slightly horrified to admit that for the first time maybe ever, I can see the appeal of the child-free life. 

Like all working moms, my day is book-ended between school drop-off and when the babysitter leaves. I am home often. Most nights, I'd say. And it is not a sacrifice. I want to hear about school, spend time with my goofballs, read them Rainbow Magic books before bed. I fall asleep with them more than I'd like to admit. But there you go. I just did. I would go so far as to say there might even be a bit of co-dependence going on between me and my daughters. Hence the vacation problem mentioned above.

When the summer started, I worried that I would miss them so badly and that they would miss me so badly that this experiment would fail miserably. I watched friends send their slightly older kids off to summer camp for seven impossibly long weeks and my heart broke for them. For the record, they have spent every day since trolling their camps' website for photos of their children looking happy that they then email around as evidence that their pain is worth it.

The first week that my husband and I were in the city, my girls called a lot. One of them would cry in the mornings because I wasn't there. Then, the calls tapered off. And something happened. My husband and I met for drinks at 9:30 p.m. I started staying up late and watching movies or reading. Reading! I met friends for dinner -- is it worth noting that these friends happened to be of the "childless" variety? I worked late -- the way I used to in the old days. It felt right. It felt normal.

I found myself saying goodbye to my munchkins on Sundays and secretly looking forward to the start of the week. Driving away from my girls, I felt downright giddy.

The truth is, my enjoyment of this time is in part because I know it is temporary. I know that in a matter of days, my husband and I will be back to doing the full-time parenting, the drudge work, the refereeing, the cuddling, the playing, and the answering of precocious questions that make me squeeze them so hard I could cry.

If this child-free life were in fact my full-time life, no matter what Lauren Sandler says is a statistical trend, or what the women she interviewed insist they prefer, I would be miserable. I think a lot of moms would agree. For many of us -- if not most -- having children is having it all.

Crazy New Vampire Grave Discovery Shows the Undead Ain't All That Bright

Vampire movies and TV shows are all well and good, but there's nothing like a real life vampire discovery to set my spine a-tingling -- right? True stories of the undead don't come around all that often, of course, but when they do? Well, let's just look at a couple of past examples, shall we? First there was that crazy "lady vampire" skull excavated in Italy thought to be evidence of "The Chewing Dead" (yuck!), then there were those other "vampire skeletons" discovered in Bulgaria pinned to their final resting places with giant stakes for all eternity ... NOW Polish archaeologists claim to have found FOUR sets of "vampire" bones with their heads placed between their legs! Folk tradition held that this burial arrangement would ensure that a possible bloodsucker couldn't find his head and come back to life.

Uh, yup. Apparently, according to "folk tradition," this burial arrangement was a sort of guarantee that vampires wouldn't come back to life, really, because if they did, they wouldn't be able to ... find their heads. Huh. Really? So clearly the people of long-ago Poland (the country's last vampire burial is thought to have occurred "long before 1914") didn't think of the undead as all that bright, exactly. I mean, let's say a "vampire" gets staked and beheaded and buried, right? Then, the next night, the sun goes down ... and the vampire "wakes up" ... and is all like, "Where's my effing head?!" Then the vampire would probably start groping around in its grave, right? One would think that after about, oh, I don't know, 30 seconds or so, said vampire would be like, "Oh, HERE it is! Between my legs! I'll just put that back where it belongs on the top of my neck and a-hunting I will go!" 

Maybe (definitely) my whole perception of vampires has been warped by shows like, oh, I don't know, True Blood, but I would still like to believe that immortal types aren't doomed to roam the planet with the intellect of tree stumps!! That's not hot at all.

Powerful Video Shows What the World Looks Like to Someone With Autism (VIDEO)

Autism is a perplexing disorder, even to parents of children on the spectrum. Try as they may to understand exactly what their child is going through, it can seem like an impossible feat. Well, 18-year-old autism activist Carly Fleischmann wants to help us all understand how she and others like her see the world. She has created a video that provides a shocking snapshot into her life and the frustrations she feels when her body won't let her voice be heard. I promise, you have never seen anything like it.

The video depicts an outing to a coffee shop with her father and sister. Carly, who was diagnosed with severe autism, cognitive delay, and oral apraxia at age 2, has opinions that she just can't express. As she describes it, "Autism has locked me inside a body I cannot control." This shows you her perspective of what is happening and her interactions with everyone, including the weary barista and the perplexed customers.

Heartbreaking, isn't it. Carly and so many other kids with autism have so much to say, but they simply can't say it. This video certainly sheds a profound light on what they go through. It breaks my heart they have to endure this. It's so important for the rest of the world to be aware of their frustrations and struggles.
