Refusing to initiate is a Top Three reason men cheat. The ugliest girl in the world could come on to a man in that state of mind, and he might have to go for it. He thinks, At least someone wants me.

Scarlett Johansson's Relationship With Fiance Sounds Far From Perfect

scarlett johansson romain dauriacGoing from Ryan Reynolds's wife to divorced to engaged to boyfriend Romain Dauriac over the course of the last five years, Scarlett Johansson may feel like she's been on a romance roller coaster. But she seems to have come off of the ride stronger than ever. The actress, who stars in the new flick Don Jon with Joseph Gordon-Levitt about a porn addict who dates a woman obsessed with romance films, opened up to E! recently about what she's learned about conflict in love ...

She admitted, "We all are guilty of holding our partner or our imaginary partner up to these standards that are sort of impossible to fulfill. It would be much easier if the people we fell in love with behaved the way we wanted them to!"

'Course that's raaarely the case! Ha. So how has she made peace with that?

ScarJo confessed:

I've learned over time that what makes life interesting, relationships interesting, are the complexities of relationships and people and the fact that we can become more evolved ourselves if we are forced to compromise and accept the differences amongst one another.

She is so, so right! Whether it's from movies or even conversations with our girlfriends, we're so brainwashed into thinking that life and relationships have the ability to be "perfect" and predictable, and a solid relationship means being in harmonious sync with your partner 24/7/365. Puhhleeez! The faster we learn that's BS, the better -- and the faster we embrace the rough patches that come with the territory of living alongside another human being, the happier we'll be overall!

I agree also that being able to work through your differences is a boon for us as individuals. Being in a healthfully complex relationship totally lends itself to helping you evolve, mature, have an even more enlightened perspective, etc.

Case in point: ScarJo! She sounds more sophisticated, grown-up, healthier, and happier than ever. Which I would think makes it safe to assume her relationship with her future husband Romain isn't necessarily always easy ... but sure is rewarding.

Do you agree with Scarlett that accepting the differences you have with your partner is better for your relationship -- and for you?

Mama June and Sugar Bear's Relationship Isn't as Rock Solid as It Seems

mama june and sugar bearThe entire second season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has been centered around the planning of Mama June and Sugar Bear's wedding. It comes with all the typical highs and lows -- everything from bouts of cold feet to what the heck should the bride wear? But there is one important point that has gotten lost in all that hoopla. They aren't actually getting legally married and there is a good reason why.

Even though all the kids (and "Shuggie" too) would prefer to make it legal, Mama opted for a commitment ceremony instead because she's scared. Who can blame her. Marriage is hardly a forever kind of thing for most couples in this country, and she has seen her fair share of nasty splits. We all have. And witnessing that understandably makes you a bit gun shy. She may love Sugar Bear, but there is a chance it won't work out.

“It’s just that a lot of people in our family have been married and divorced a couple of times and for me, seeing that growing up, it wasn’t good,” she said. Another big worry of hers? The expense that comes with ending a a union.

“It also costs a lot of money to actually get out of a marriage. We got a piece of paper for doing the commitment ceremony and we don’t have to worry, down the road, if something doesn’t go right and things don’t work out,” she said. She makes a valid point, don't you think. The most expensive part of getting hitched has nothing to do with the legal aspects. A marriage license costs a few hundred bucks at most, but calling it quits can run you thousands. Not to mention all the legal wrangling involved with dividing assets.

It's easy to see why she doesn't want to worry about that. This doesn't mean she doesn't love him -- she's just realistic. By having a simple commitment ceremony, they get to express their love and celebrate with friends and family. Then if things don't work out later, the parting -- though surely painful -- will be much less complicated.

Do you think Mama June has good reason to not want to get legally married?

5 Crazy Relationship Dealbreakers That Will Stop You From Finding True Love

DealbreakerA new study has come out from an electronic cigarette company naming some of the five most obvious dealbreakers in relationships. Some of them are big while others are surprisingly small -- as in, you would leave a man over THAT?! Really?

To me, it really depends on where you are in the relationship. What is a dealbreaker at 10 months in might not be at 10 years in. I would just hope we would be broken up long before we made it to the 10-year mark in that case.

For me, things like cheating and lying are right off the bat going to set off alarm bells. Smaller things that can be worked out -- like smoking or watching too many sports on television -- might be able to be dealt with without ending it. According to the SKYCIG survey, the biggest dealbreakers in a relationship are smoking, followed by not listening, bad money management, laziness, and more. Some of these are good, but some are just ... dumb. Here are five other crazy dealbreakers I have heard from other women:

What is your deal breaker? Do you have one?

Another person I know had a boyfriend who made roughly five times what she made and guess what?! He still never paid for anything. To her mind, he was always going to be stingy and that was a dealbreaker. Actually makes a lot of sense, no?

Sleeping Apart May Be the Secret to Keeping Your Relationship Alive

couple sleeping in separate bedsFor some reason, researchers are obsessed with finding new and usually, seemingly bummer stats for us about marriage, divorce, sex, basically anything and everything related to our most important, personal relationships. Like doubts before your wedding mean you're headed for a divorce. (Eye roll.) Or fighting is the secret to a happy marriage. The latest: 30 to 40 percent of couples sleep apart, according to a study out of Ryerson University in Toronto.

Sounds startling and sad at first read, right? But believe it or not, the researchers actually seem to have a sunny outlook about the finding!

They say that sleeping separately is not necessarily an indicator of the relationship being on the rocks. In fact, they say couples who don't share the same bed may be even better off. Gasp! You don't say! Yes, that was sarcasm. Do we really need researchers to tell us this? Well, maybe they do because there are some who think it's a travesty when couples sleep separately ... But I'm not one of 'em.

I knew my husband and I were meant to be in part because I had no problem falling asleep next to him, and I'd never been comfortable enough to do that before. And for the past six and a half years, sleeping in our shared queen-sized bed has been natural and downright lovely experience ... some nights. Not the nights when one of us is sick, snoring, or experiencing other less than pleasant midnight disturbances that keep the other from getting their Zs.

Thankfully, over time, DH has done a wonderful job anticipating when he might not be the best bedmate (or maybe when he also doesn't feel like dealing with the bad bed behavior he claims I'm guilty of, which is stealing all the covers, pfft), and he relegates himself to the couch. I know, how sweet! And that's what I'm talkin' bout! It definitely keeps our relationship healthy (cuz we're well-rested!) and happy to sleep apart certain nights.

Of course I'm all for the benefits of being together between the sheets -- pillow talk, cuddling, spooning, chatting, nuzzling, goofing around, SEX! (obvs), etc. -- but all of that can be done on the couch or before bedtime before you go your separate ways, if that's what works best for you. Ultimately, the actual act of snoozing through the night with one another isn't imperative. Though it can be wonderful to wake up next to your partner ... as long as they don't have horrendous morning breath!

What do you think about this study? Do you sleep separately or together -- and does it hurt or help your relationship?

Jenelle Evans Says She’s in a ‘Perfect’ Relationship Like She Would Know

No cuelgues. NO, TÚ!
