Mama June and Sugar Bear's Relationship Isn't as Rock Solid as It Seems

The entire second season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has been centered around the planning of Mama June and Sugar Bear's wedding. It comes with all the typical highs and lows -- everything from bouts of cold feet to what the heck should the bride wear? But there is one important point that has gotten lost in all that hoopla. They aren't actually getting legally married and there is a good reason why.

Even though all the kids (and "Shuggie" too) would prefer to make it legal, Mama opted for a commitment ceremony instead because she's scared. Who can blame her. Marriage is hardly a forever kind of thing for most couples in this country, and she has seen her fair share of nasty splits. We all have. And witnessing that understandably makes you a bit gun shy. She may love Sugar Bear, but there is a chance it won't work out.

“It’s just that a lot of people in our family have been married and divorced a couple of times and for me, seeing that growing up, it wasn’t good,” she said. Another big worry of hers? The expense that comes with ending a a union.

“It also costs a lot of money to actually get out of a marriage. We got a piece of paper for doing the commitment ceremony and we don’t have to worry, down the road, if something doesn’t go right and things don’t work out,” she said. She makes a valid point, don't you think. The most expensive part of getting hitched has nothing to do with the legal aspects. A marriage license costs a few hundred bucks at most, but calling it quits can run you thousands. Not to mention all the legal wrangling involved with dividing assets.

It's easy to see why she doesn't want to worry about that. This doesn't mean she doesn't love him -- she's just realistic. By having a simple commitment ceremony, they get to express their love and celebrate with friends and family. Then if things don't work out later, the parting -- though surely painful -- will be much less complicated.

It's a sad day, friends. Or, at least, I think it's a sad day. There's a rumor going around, saying that not only will Ian Somerhalder not be playing Christian Grey, but that he's salty about it and snapped at paparazzi when asked about what happened. I'm sort of inclined to not believe this type of poppycock, as every day someone new is thrown into the ol' Fifty Shades of Grey casting pool. But Ian's answer to the paparazzi is a little odd. And there's video proof.

Maybe there's some truth to this, guys? Hold me, I'm scared.

Clearly, he's joking with his "Jim Carrey" comment, but Ian does seem less than thrilled when Fifty Shades is brought up. Sure, it could be the fact that there are 73 photographers in his face, snapping away and asking obnoxious questions when he's just trying to get the hell out of the airport, but "I don't know, man, you tell me" could be misconstrued as being perturbed at the question.

Then again, maybe Ian's just being cagey, as any good Christian contender would do? Maybe he's simply playing it close to the vest? Maybe, just maybe, he was already cast in the role and has been sworn to secrecy?

I like that better. So let's just go with that, kthnxbai.

Jenelle Evans Seems Weirdly Nonchalant About Losing Her Beloved Pet

Jenelle Evans' beloved bearded dragon Yoshi is apparently dead, and Evans took to Twitter to talk about it. The "star" tweeted that her mother killed him, apparently by turning off the light inadvertently. It's super sad, especially given the nonchalant way Jenelle approached it.

Sure, Yoshi wasn't a human being (or even a dog or a cat), but it's yet another creature Jenelle didn't take responsibility for, handing him over to her mother. And then she can't even ratchet up enough sadness for the poor guy to mention it more than in passing?

I get that a bearded dragon may not seem as important to some people as another kind of pet, but it's a real responsibility. Even a goldfish deserves to be fed and have its water changed regularly, no?

Jenelle doesn't need to break down in tears and have a drama fest over the death of her bearded dragon, but I would expect more from a woman who has treated even a breakup with a boyfriend of two weeks as life-alteringly awful.

This is death! I don't care if it's a reptile or a human. It's still really sad. Jenelle even made kind of light of it in a later tweet, replying to a friend:

@knblack333 no lol on accident of course she turned off his heat lamp!!!

The responses are pretty typical, mostly bashing Jenelle for shirking yet another responsibility. And while I don't blame ANYONE who feels that way, I also think this is more than that. This is showing a real lack of sadness over something real. With all the drama over such little things, one would think Evans could muster a little grief over her little buddy.

It's truly sad.
