Kim Kardashian has made it very clear that she wants to distance herself from her famous family. She's moving into her own house and she fired her publicist to hire one who doesn't represent any of her family members. She's done all of this with the blessing of her baby daddy, Kanye West. 

Now she's really driving her point home. Sources say that Kim won't let North West, the baby of a thousand faces, be filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. This doesn't sound so much like a bid to make sure her child's privacy is respected. It sounds like another attempt to assert her own identity as a would-be A-lister. This might be a huge mistake. 

Kim is desperate to elevate her star status, and in the process, she might be losing everything about her that was appealing. We loved watching Kim interact with her family. We loved that while she was stylish, she was also accessible. If she turns her back on that, it's as good as turning her back to her fans.

Plus, and I'm not saying this to be mean-spirited, what are the odds of her plan even working? Anna Wintour's already said she'll never work with Kim, which is the high fashion kiss of death. Without any other real skills to offer, how can she expect to be welcomed into the upper echelon? Seems a bit, well, naive.

Estoy verdaderamente sorprendido. Incluso después de la primera aparición posterior bebé de Kim. Después Kanye es entrañable entrevista. Incluso después de la inauguración del bebé North West! Demostración de la charla de Kris Jenner fue cancelado aún después que es prueba de seis semanas. Según las fuentes, Kris le dijo: "es imposible el talk show se va a poner una luz verde de FOX. Las calificaciones fueron un promedio de un abismal 0.8 y anunciantes eran menos entusiasmados". El show llegó aparentemente impulso calificaciones de aparición de Kanye en el último día, pero no lo suficiente como para aterrizar una temporada completa.

Supongo que no todo el mundo se preocupa por las Kardashians tanto como pensamos.

Baby North West Revealed for First Time and Boy Is She Cute (PHOTOS)

Finally, the moment we have all been waiting for. During a sit-down interview on the season finale of Kris, Kanye West showed a photo of baby North. And let me just say, the kid is absolutely gorgeous. Though more surprising than the picture itself was what Kanye revealed about his life now that he's a dad. He came off as sweet, endearing, and a times a little shy. Not at all the persona we are used to seeing. Check out the adorable photo and Kanye's most surprising quotes on fatherhood, family, and how his relationship with Kim Kardashian has changed:

On fatherhood: "She’s my joy ... she brought new joy into the world ... no paparazzi, nothing is going to take that joy from me ... It's such a blessing. And I feel like it's given me the stability that I need to really create and really do God's work the way I should ... someone to be responsible for."

How North has changed his relationship with Kim: "It’s really brought us closer ... there’s someone more important to us than us for the first time."

On his weakest moment: "After I lost my mother there were times I would put my life at risk. I didn't feel like I had anything to live for. Now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."

On North following in his footsteps: "I am going to give her the opportunity to develop her different skill sets. And then decide what she likes to do the best ... we will just give her the support and let her follow what she loves the most."

On North growing up in the spotlight: "The biggest thing is protection ... protecting my daughter. Every family member to give my daughter as many opportunities to just be a child ... of course a big thing that plagues us ... is the idea of the paparazzi chasing a 5-year-old around screaming at them."

How North impacted how he feels about the infamous Taylor Swift/VMAs incident: "I think about education and all I want to do is help people ... Last thing I would want for my daughter is some crazy drunk black guy in a leather shirt to come up and cut her off at an awards show."

On pining for Kim: "There’s times when I wasn’t with her that I wanted to be with her so bad that I thought about taking up sports ... I just dreamed about being next to her."

Indeed he did. Kris revealed that when Kanye would get their family Christmas card, he would draw a stick figure of himself next to Kim. Super-sweet, isn't it?

On criticism of his relationship: "That shows me how much I love her ... that I can have people saying ... this is going to damage your credibility as an artist ... I say I don’t care, I love this woman ... I’m being with this person because I love this person ... she’s worth it to me."

On his religious beliefs: "I'm a Christian and wanted to let people know that is what's on my mind. It's important to me that I grow and walk and raise my family with Christian values."

On being around the Kardashian clan: "When I'm out, I try to get home early so that I can be with my family."

On his regrets: "Everything happens for a reason and I've grown from it ... there are times I am alone on the airplane and I let times my own thoughts haunt me. There are times I wish I could get on the cellphone and call a publicist to fix something. But I think I am very, very blessed."

Kim Kardashian Steps Out Again With North and This Photo’s More Fun Than the Last

You guys, I just saw Baby North! Okay, I didn't see her in person. I just saw a photo. And I didn't see the whole baby -- I just saw Baby North West's feet. But that's all Mama Kim will let us see! Kim Kardashian stepped out carrying North for the first time this weekend to attend the funeral of Kanye West's grandfather, Portwood L. Williams, in Oklahoma City. Kim wore a black dress and Nori wore sage green socks and matching towel over the rest of her body.

So ... that's not a whole lot to go on. It's another tease, like when Kim and Kanye took North to the pediatrician (I'm guessing) but wouldn't let us see anything at all. Man, Kim runs to middle America and not only do the paparazzi still find her, she's on to them and keeps Nori under wraps. I guess they're serious about saving North's big debut for Vogue -- or whichever magazine they finally deem worthy.

All we have to go on, then, are those little socks. Looks like North is still teeny tiny even for a newborn at 2 months, but that's to be expected since she was born early.

But hey, at least we see all of Kim again. I just cringe for her -- you know people are staring at her and trying to guess how many pounds she's lost so far. I think she looks great for a woman with a 2-month-old baby: Her hair is brushed and her clothes are clean. That should be enough, right?

Baby North West's First Pics May Appear Where Kim Kardashian Isn't Allowed (PHOTO)

Aren't you glad you're not famous, so if you want to share your baby photos, all you have to do is snap a few and then email/Instagram/Facebook them to friends and family? Poor, unfortunate Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are desperately struggling to share baby North's photos with the world in just the right, classy way. A source claims that Kanye wants North to make her debut in Vogue -- but editor Anna Wintour is having none of it.

Kanye, of course, is a big fashion nerd. And Anna may not mind him so much as his tabloidy lady friend. "But it’s also pretty well-known that Anna is NO fan of Kim or any reality star appearing in the pages of the magazine. Kanye is determined to make sure baby North isn’t photographed by paparazzi then splashed across the world. He knows what he wants -- a professional photographer and the cover of Vogue -- nothing else. But clearly, trying to persuade Anna is going to be an uphill battle." So Kanye has reportedly compiled a stack of statistics showing that the Kardashian brand sells magazines. But who needs Vogue, anyway?

Talk about not wanting to belong to a club that will take you -- I think Kanye just wants to break into the one club that won't let him in. If he's so concerned about North making a glamorous, non-tabloid debut, there are other magazines with just as much prestige.

W magazine featured Kim on their cover a while back, and they just did an interview with Kanye. It's kind of the smarter, more daring Vogue, in fact. I like it a hundred times better than bloated Vogue with its constant pandering to boring socialites.

What about Harper's Bazaar? Or one of the international Vogue magazines? Obviously Marie Claire, Glamour, and Cosmo are not quite fancy enough for Kanye (though just fine for the rest of us plebs). But he could think a little more outside the box -- like maybe Interview or Vanity Fair.

WHAT AM I SAYING?!? Am I really taking this question of where Nori's photos should be published this seriously? The EFF do I care? Ugh, I've got more important things to worry about here. Figure this thing out on your own, Kanye. I'm just saying -- not everyone thinks Vogue is all that.

But hey, Kanye is God! That means he can just command Anna Wintour, right? Or maybe when she sees how cute Nori is, it'll just melt the ice queen's heart. I'm rooting for you, Nori!

Kim Kardashian Is Crazy to Want North to 'Model' Her New Baby Clothing Line

Well, it's official. Not even childbirth can stop Kim Kardashian's brain from making those cash register noises. It's been less than two months since she's become a mother and she's already thinking about her next business move -- which involves babies now, naturally.

Despite the fact that Kim's been ridiculed for her fashion sense lately, she apparently still thinks she has what it takes to design clothes. So she's decided to create a baby clothing line. Because, yes! That's what the world needs! Ridiculously overpriced crop-top onesies. With fringe!

And the worst part? Kim's designer friend who she is reportedly teaming up with says Baby North West will be a "great poster child" for the line.

Excuse me, WHAT?

Am I the only one who finds this absolutely ridiculous? This child is WEEKS old. She can't talk, walk, and she certainly can't model. (Unless modeling requires nothing more than, you know, lying there.) She has no idea that she was born into this mega-famous, attention-hungry family. In a sense, it's really unfair to do to the child. But I guess we shouldn't be surprised. Even Kris Jenner has used the baby for publicity for her show already, so why should Kim with this clothing line idea be any different?

I'm sure Kim's baby line would make a ton of money, and I'm sure having North as the "model" would fuel the success even more. But Kim really needs to reflect on what's truly important in life now more than ever: family or money and fame.

Let's hope she makes the right choice.

Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Want to Spoil Baby North -- No We’re Not Joking (VIDEO)

When I picture Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter North, I picture an infant wrapped in a cloud of cashmere Hermes blankets sitting in a gold-plated Moses basket surrounded 24/7 by harp players. (Also surrounded by video cameras set up by Grandma Jenner, just in case Kanye changes his mind.) So when Kim Kardashian worries about spoiling North, I just have to giggle. Really, Kim? Think your baby is in danger of growing up spoiled?!? Snort.

Yes, really. In an episode of Keeping Up, Kim actually brings it up. Kourtney wants to help still-pregnant Kim design a playroom for the baby. But Kim actually questions why a baby would need a bedroom and a playroom. Couldn't the baby just play in her bedroom, like Kim did, and then clean up? How much stuff does this baby really need? "Like, how much do you give them, you know?" Kim mused.

Wow, let's give Kim some credit for actually giving this some thought. Here I assumed she'd just let the baby loot happen like a runaway train. With gifts like a Swarovski crystal-embedded high chair showing up, it must be hard to stay grounded. But she's actually thinking about how much is too much. Maybe Kim's idea of too much baby stuff isn't the same as yours or mine, but at least she thinks there should be a limit.

And she's right about the playroom. Once you have a few kids, and they start really collecting toys, then maybe a playroom makes sense. But babies do not need a separate room just for playing. Babies mostly eat and sleep for the first few months of their lives, and after that, everything is a toy, and every room is a playroom, really.

It's good that Kim was thinking about not spoiling North so soon -- she's smart to set her intentions, even if she does end up indulging her daughter. The real test will come when North gets older and actually starts asking for things. Saying "no" is a big part of parenting, and Kim had better prepare herself for that now. But not spoiling your kids isn't just about saying no to too much stuff -- it's also about raising your kids with values. And that's something else Kim should be thinking about right now. What values will she raise North with?

Kanye Supposedly Begged Kim Kardashian's 'Frenemy' Beyonce to Visit Baby North

England has its royal family, and we have ours: Bey and Hova. And a visit from them is about the most exciting thing that could happen to anyone, even a Kardashian. Well, that happened. A couple days ago, Beyonce and Jay Z visited Kim Kardashian and Baby North. They stepped down from their gilded cloud long enough to spend a couple hours with Kanye's family, a privilege that no doubt thrilled the Kardashians. (Kanye was not around to enjoy the visit -- he's apparently in Milan at the moment.)

Can you imagine? And yet, there are those who would pooh pooh the grand occasion. Rumor has it that Beyonce cannot abide Kim, and visited only under duress, at the insistence of Kanye. Really? Come on. Even if there's a little truth to that rumor, I think Bey and Jay Z would want to see their friend Kanye's baby anyway.

And if Kim gets on Beyonce's nerves, I think having a little baby around would neutralize that. Beyonce could focus on North, giving Kim motherly advice and cooing over how cute North is. Babies are a well-known tool for a detente. As long as you keep the visit short and slip out before they get fussy, the baby visit can be a great peace-making opportunity.

Besides, how annoying could Kim really be to Beyonce? Maybe they just didn't have that much to talk about before. Well, they do now. Kim and Beyonce can bond as fellow mothers -- or, failing that, they can at least swap stories and photos. (We hear Bey and Jay Z didn't bring Blue Ivy, which was probably a smart move.)

Plus they sent Baby North some insanely lavish gifts -- Dior baby booties and a silver engraved Elsa Peretti Padova baby set. Now why would you spend around $7,000 on a baby and not want to also visit that baby and her mother, too? I think the feud is overblown, and I see a friendly relationship brewing between the two families.

Do you think Beyonce and Jay Z visited Kim and North because they wanted to, or because they "had" to?

Kim Kardashian Reveals Detestable Reason Her Baby is Named North (VIDEO)

Ever since Kim Kardashian named her baby North, people have been wondering, like, WHY?! Well, apparently there is some logic behind the baby name she chose. Not a whole lot of logic, but some teensy weensy half-molecule of logic-ita. (That's logic in the diminutive.) And it's not just that she and Kanye consider North their "highest point" of love. While on a family trip to Greece, a still-pregnant Kim tells her family that she and Kanye "want" to give their baby a name that starts with K, which would keep with family tradition, but they just can't do it. And you'll seriously never guess why.

Kim told her familia:

If we name our kid with a K name, which is kind of what we want, mainly just because Kanye and I are K's, but then our kid, if it's a K, they'll call us the KKK.

Bwhaaa!! I'm sorry, WHAT?!

"That's a little crazy," step-brother Brody replies, sensibly.

Woah. Is that the weirdest justification ever for not giving your baby a K name? Also, there's so many other non-K names that they could have gone with that didn't make their baby sound like an airline or an ordinal direction on a compass.

I can't imagine that people -- at least anyone worth paying any attention to -- would have called the trio the name of a horrible white supremist group. But, hey, Kim has had to deal with more hate that I'll ever deal with in a lifetime, so perhaps she knows better.

Maybe if she'd given the baby a K first name and middle initial, and the baby went by Kardashian, that would be a little strange. I mean, monogrammed towels wouldn't look so good. But I think a K name would have been fine -- too expected, though. Too much like branding your baby rather than naming it.

How sad that Kim and Kanye are paranoid to the point where they think people would call them KKK!

Would they do that?! Damn. That's sick.

Kanye West May Have Hired Body Doubles for Baby North in Most Paranoid Dad Move Ever

This might not be anything more than another crazy Kardashian rumor, but supposedly Kanye West has hired body doubles for baby North West, himself, and Kim Kardashian -- because he lives in fear that someone will try and kidnap or harm his famous baby girl.

A "friend" of his told Now Magazine that Kanye will do "whatever it takes to keep his family safe," and apparently he thinks fooling the heck out of the paparazzi is a decent place to start.

The source added, "He's planning to employ body doubles to act as decoys for the three of them. The plan is for them to go out in separate vehicles to throw anyone planning to follow them off the scent."

Um, really?

I understand Kanye being a bit overprotective of his family since he's a brand new dad, and all, but who does he think he is? Prince William? Gah. If he and Kate Middleton left the hospital with their brand new PRINCE and didn't have body doubles, why the heck does Kanye think he needs them? (Because he obviously thinks he's royalty.)

If this is really true, and Kanye plans on having decoys all over the city of Los Angeles, I'm thinking he might want to take up meditation or go see a therapist a couple times a week to deal with his extreme paranoia.

Yes, I realize that he and Kim have a certain degree of fame going on -- but considering how many celebrities go out with their babies and wind up perfectly safe, why would he think things would be any different for them? I guess hiring bodyguards to accompany them on public outings is one thing, but body doubles? Isn't that just a little bit extreme?

If Kanye is really this concerned about his daughter's safety, then maybe he should either consider moving to a less populated area, or not venture out of the house for at least the next five years or so. All parents want to keep their kids safe, but you can't put them in a bubble and be so scared to take them out in public that you resort to finding lookalikes to impersonate you. 

Chill out, Kanye -- it's gonna be ok.
