'Toast Scented' Perfume Is Only Mildly Weird Compared to These 5 Other Scents

toast perfumeThe bread bakers of this world have taken all they can take, and they will stand for it no more! To protest "anti-bread" diets, The United Federation of Bakers released a toast-scented perfume during London's Fashion week. Their goal? To make toast "sexy" again. Begging the question, was toast ever sexy? I mean, folks eat it in bed, but that's mainly out of laziness ... or so I am told by people who are DEFINITELY not me.

The bakers might have been better off reminding people that bread is good for you! In a staunchly carb-scared culture, that's easy to forget. Bread contains protein, fiber, calcium, iron, copper, zinc, and manganese. Plus, it's low-cal, yo!

While this weird scheme might not bring bread back into the good graces of the fashion world, it's definitely got me thinking about other foods that should have their own scents. As such, I've put together a list of other companies who should make their own perfumes. Let's get our delicious stink on, guys!

1. Beef Jerky Companies

It's delicious and an excellent source of protein. Sadly most of us avoid it because we are not 18-year-old boys on a road-trip. But a sexy spritz of beefy musky? Meow. Jerky -- it's what's for dinner.

2. Popcorn Companies

I love microwave popcorn so much that the idea of ripping apart the bag to dab my pressure points with the butter doesn't seem that much of a stretch. Though granted, spraying on the aroma would probably be much more pleasant.

3. Bagel Companies

Worth it for the design of the bottle alone. If I could start each day smelling like an everything bagel, I would be happy and everyone would want to sit next to me in meetings.

4. Cupcake Companies

There's a lot of perfume that tries to smell like dessert. Most of it falls short of the mark, tending to be sickly sweet and cloying. What I wouldn't give to sniff the bottled honest-to-god smell of a warm, vanilla cake -- buttery bliss!

5. Waffle Companies

Nothing says couture like waffles ... which don't say it at all. It's a pity too, because I've always thought that Anna Wintour probably smelled like toasted vanilla and maple syrup.

Would you wear toast perfume?

Having been on any Reality TV, let alone the Real Housewives specifically, I'm always looking at these shows with double vision. I'm seeing the action just as all the viewers do, and also looking behind the scenes at how everything is put together, which always fascinates me.

This week we go deep into wedding planning with Joanna Krupa and Adriana de Moura, lots of gorgeous Birkin bags, kittens, and puppies. And did you HEAR the gossip? Someone revealed a Housewives contract! Are they for real?

I had to laugh when Lisa Hochstein cried over a Birkin bag. I don't know anyone, ever in my life, who has done that. And I know a lot of characters.

As the bridal party casting heats up, I go into reality TV weddings versus real weddings…should you have to choose cast members as bridesmaids and if you do, are you allowed to give them ultimatums? Perhaps Joanna is secretly the Gawker Bridezilla

Alexia Echevarria and her son are breaking my heart – what do you do when your son’s father is an ex-convict?? In this week’s video we learn what to do, and what NOT to do when you and your child have problems surrounding your divorce.

Finally….did you see that story where the reporter supposedly got hold of a New Jersey Housewives contract?  I saw it, I read it, and I give you MY take on it.

Who is the most annoying bride -- Adriana or Joanna?

Also, tell me in the comments or on twitter what you want know about I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding as tomorrow I’ll have a brand new episode covering the first two shows!

Brown eye makeupSure sure, they say the eyes are the portal to the soul and all that jazz, but most of us aren't exactly Picasso when it comes to playing up one of a lady's best assets. The truth? Bringing out your eye color is actually easier than you might think. A few Stir staffers recently caught up with Sephora PRO Lead Artist Gilbert Soliz to learn how to accentuate their eye color. And let me tell you -- we learned a wholllleeeee lot. Seriously, who knew that you were supposed to curl your lashes BEFORE you put on mascara, eh?

First up: brown eyes. Are you a fellow brown-eyed beauty looking for a few tips on how to make those eyes pop? Look no further. Check out these 5 brown eye makeup tips, here:

Brown_Eyes_Makeup_Tricks1. Start with a blank canvas: This holds true for women of any eye color. It's super important to keep things neutral to start off with by applying a base. Wipe the same color foundation you use on the rest of your face across your eyelid as well as below your eye, and top it off with a light colored eye shadow for the perfect base.

2. Pick a palette that does the work for you: There are loads of palettes out there that have the right colors for your eyes together so you don't have to do the tough work. Our top picks for brown eyes? Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No. 7 in The Tease ($59, sephora.com) or Sephora Collection Primal Instincts Palette ($28, sephora.com).

3. The right blend makes all the difference: You want to make sure that you're layering your eye shadow the right way. Start by using the darkest shade at the base of the lashes, then buff and blend upwards. Apply a medium toned shade to the lid and ensure that the darker shade is well blended. Take the lightest shade and soften the edges at the crease, then blend up toward the brow bone.

4. Going dramatic? Choose purple. The key to getting brown eyes to pop for a night on the town is opting for cooler shades like a flirty, feminine lavender.

5. Top it off with a great lash: If you're looking for long, beautiful lashes there are two main secrets. 1. Like I mentioned before, curl your lashes BEFORE you apply mascara. This way, you'll avoid that little crease that so many of us pretend not to notice. 2. Start applying your mascara at the root, not the tips. This will make your lashes look thicker.

Want to take your lashes a step further? Accent brown eyes with a little bit of plum-colored mascara. We adore Benefit's BADgal Plum Mascara ($19, sephora.com). While you'll hardly see a difference in color, but it will add an extra pop that'll make your girlfriends say "Wow!"

Have any tips or tricks of your own for fellow brown-eyed girls?

New iPhone 5S Is TOTALLY Worth the Wait if These 3 Rumors Are True

appleThe iPhone 5S is supposedly making its genuine human interaction-killing way into stores some time in the very near future. "Very near," as in September 10, as that's when the official Apple event is scheduled to be held. Idiots people are already lining up in front of Apple stores to be the first (read: coolest) one out of their friends who can say they have the new iPhone. And while that's something I would never in a million years do, the new iPhone is rumored to have some cool new features

Many are claiming that the new iPhone is going to have a fingerprint scanner as an increased security measure. The China Times was the first to report this information, and backing this theory up is PayPal's chief information security officer, Michael Barrett, who said, "There is going to be a fingerprint enabled phone on the market later this year. Not just one, multiple," in a recent keynote speech. Pretty cool, as iPhones are seriously hot commodity for thieves.

Another rumor swirling around is that there's going to be a gold model added to the current black and white iPhones. No word on whether the gold iPhone, if available, is going to be the same cost as its black and white counterparts, or if it's going to be a more expensive version. Let's hope the same, because paying a higher price for a color is ridiculous.

And, finally, the most exciting iPhone rumor of all is the possibility of there being a new, "cheaper" iPhone available. (This, also, is the most widely-reported rumor, so it would be a fairly big shock if this weren't true.) Reportedly called the "iPhone 5C", the cheaper phone may be a bit smaller and come in a variety of pastely-looking colors. No word on how cheap this iPhone 5C will be, but I mean, come on, how cheap can it possibly be? This is Apple we're talking about here.

And now we wait.

Are you excited for the new iPhone?

Jaden Smith Wasn't Horrified by Miley’s Twerking But These Celebs Were (Sort Of) (VIDEO)

Will Smith Miley CyrusOh man, did you guys see that AMAZING image of Will Smith and his family reacting to Miley Cyrus's deranged VMA performance? It's pretty much the greatest photo in the world: Jaden's face is crumpled in dismay, Willow's frozen in gaping horror, Will seems to be reeling back from whatever tongue-lolling insanity is happening onstage, and Jada's so shocked she's got her hand over her mouth.

The only problem with this hilarious audience cam moment that seemed to so perfectly sum up what most of us thought of Miley's performance is that the Smith family wasn't reacting to Miley -- the photo was actually captured when Lady Gaga was singing.

I'm sorry to debunk the context of this deeply awesome reaction shot, but never fear! I've got four other equally fantastic images of famous faces watching Miley doing her twerking/foam-finger-fellating thing last Sunday night.

Here's the full image of the Smith family photo:

As it turns out, they weren't even really flipping out over Lady Gaga -- Willow's mouth is open because she's chewing gum like a boss:

The Smith clan's photo may have been misleading, but surely SOMEONE in the audience had a good reaction to Miley, right? Being as how she came out looking like this?

(Two words, Miley: tongue scraper.)

As it turns out, there were a few good facial responses caught on camera. Here are Rihanna and the One Direction boys looking less than impressed with Miley's stage antics:

HA. Rihanna's crew gives great bitchface.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez didn't seem quite so stony, but rather deeply confused:

As for Drake, he couldn't even look:

Drake's depressed vibe was instantly converted to a meme that pretty much said what we were all thinking:

Last but not least, some GENIUS put this Breaking Bad/VMAs mashup video together -- check out Hank and Marie reacting to Miley:

Which one of these best mirrors your own reaction to Miley Cyrus's VMA performance?
