Kim Kardashian has made it very clear that she wants to distance herself from her famous family. She's moving into her own house and she fired her publicist to hire one who doesn't represent any of her family members. She's done all of this with the blessing of her baby daddy, Kanye West. 

Now she's really driving her point home. Sources say that Kim won't let North West, the baby of a thousand faces, be filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. This doesn't sound so much like a bid to make sure her child's privacy is respected. It sounds like another attempt to assert her own identity as a would-be A-lister. This might be a huge mistake. 

Kim is desperate to elevate her star status, and in the process, she might be losing everything about her that was appealing. We loved watching Kim interact with her family. We loved that while she was stylish, she was also accessible. If she turns her back on that, it's as good as turning her back to her fans.

Plus, and I'm not saying this to be mean-spirited, what are the odds of her plan even working? Anna Wintour's already said she'll never work with Kim, which is the high fashion kiss of death. Without any other real skills to offer, how can she expect to be welcomed into the upper echelon? Seems a bit, well, naive.

Estoy verdaderamente sorprendido. Incluso después de la primera aparición posterior bebé de Kim. Después Kanye es entrañable entrevista. Incluso después de la inauguración del bebé North West! Demostración de la charla de Kris Jenner fue cancelado aún después que es prueba de seis semanas. Según las fuentes, Kris le dijo: "es imposible el talk show se va a poner una luz verde de FOX. Las calificaciones fueron un promedio de un abismal 0.8 y anunciantes eran menos entusiasmados". El show llegó aparentemente impulso calificaciones de aparición de Kanye en el último día, pero no lo suficiente como para aterrizar una temporada completa.

Supongo que no todo el mundo se preocupa por las Kardashians tanto como pensamos.

No vi programa de Kris (tengo un trabajo, chicos), pero realmente estaba bajo la impresión de que lo estaba haciendo muy bien y seguro que conseguiría el visto bueno. Supongo que era todo bombo sólo Kardashian Internet. Pero tras debut de North West, asumí que era básicamente una garantía de que América iba a ser cargado con otra hora de las Kardashians.

Baby North West Revealed for First Time and Boy Is She Cute (PHOTOS)

Finally, the moment we have all been waiting for. During a sit-down interview on the season finale of Kris, Kanye West showed a photo of baby North. And let me just say, the kid is absolutely gorgeous. Though more surprising than the picture itself was what Kanye revealed about his life now that he's a dad. He came off as sweet, endearing, and a times a little shy. Not at all the persona we are used to seeing. Check out the adorable photo and Kanye's most surprising quotes on fatherhood, family, and how his relationship with Kim Kardashian has changed:

On fatherhood: "She’s my joy ... she brought new joy into the world ... no paparazzi, nothing is going to take that joy from me ... It's such a blessing. And I feel like it's given me the stability that I need to really create and really do God's work the way I should ... someone to be responsible for."

How North has changed his relationship with Kim: "It’s really brought us closer ... there’s someone more important to us than us for the first time."

On his weakest moment: "After I lost my mother there were times I would put my life at risk. I didn't feel like I had anything to live for. Now I have two really special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."

On North following in his footsteps: "I am going to give her the opportunity to develop her different skill sets. And then decide what she likes to do the best ... we will just give her the support and let her follow what she loves the most."

On North growing up in the spotlight: "The biggest thing is protection ... protecting my daughter. Every family member to give my daughter as many opportunities to just be a child ... of course a big thing that plagues us ... is the idea of the paparazzi chasing a 5-year-old around screaming at them."

How North impacted how he feels about the infamous Taylor Swift/VMAs incident: "I think about education and all I want to do is help people ... Last thing I would want for my daughter is some crazy drunk black guy in a leather shirt to come up and cut her off at an awards show."

On pining for Kim: "There’s times when I wasn’t with her that I wanted to be with her so bad that I thought about taking up sports ... I just dreamed about being next to her."

Indeed he did. Kris revealed that when Kanye would get their family Christmas card, he would draw a stick figure of himself next to Kim. Super-sweet, isn't it?

On criticism of his relationship: "That shows me how much I love her ... that I can have people saying ... this is going to damage your credibility as an artist ... I say I don’t care, I love this woman ... I’m being with this person because I love this person ... she’s worth it to me."

On his religious beliefs: "I'm a Christian and wanted to let people know that is what's on my mind. It's important to me that I grow and walk and raise my family with Christian values."

On being around the Kardashian clan: "When I'm out, I try to get home early so that I can be with my family."

On his regrets: "Everything happens for a reason and I've grown from it ... there are times I am alone on the airplane and I let times my own thoughts haunt me. There are times I wish I could get on the cellphone and call a publicist to fix something. But I think I am very, very blessed."

Kim Kardashian Steps Out Again With North and This Photo’s More Fun Than the Last

You guys, I just saw Baby North! Okay, I didn't see her in person. I just saw a photo. And I didn't see the whole baby -- I just saw Baby North West's feet. But that's all Mama Kim will let us see! Kim Kardashian stepped out carrying North for the first time this weekend to attend the funeral of Kanye West's grandfather, Portwood L. Williams, in Oklahoma City. Kim wore a black dress and Nori wore sage green socks and matching towel over the rest of her body.

So ... that's not a whole lot to go on. It's another tease, like when Kim and Kanye took North to the pediatrician (I'm guessing) but wouldn't let us see anything at all. Man, Kim runs to middle America and not only do the paparazzi still find her, she's on to them and keeps Nori under wraps. I guess they're serious about saving North's big debut for Vogue -- or whichever magazine they finally deem worthy.

All we have to go on, then, are those little socks. Looks like North is still teeny tiny even for a newborn at 2 months, but that's to be expected since she was born early.

But hey, at least we see all of Kim again. I just cringe for her -- you know people are staring at her and trying to guess how many pounds she's lost so far. I think she looks great for a woman with a 2-month-old baby: Her hair is brushed and her clothes are clean. That should be enough, right?

Baby North West's First Pics May Appear Where Kim Kardashian Isn't Allowed (PHOTO)

Aren't you glad you're not famous, so if you want to share your baby photos, all you have to do is snap a few and then email/Instagram/Facebook them to friends and family? Poor, unfortunate Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are desperately struggling to share baby North's photos with the world in just the right, classy way. A source claims that Kanye wants North to make her debut in Vogue -- but editor Anna Wintour is having none of it.

Kanye, of course, is a big fashion nerd. And Anna may not mind him so much as his tabloidy lady friend. "But it’s also pretty well-known that Anna is NO fan of Kim or any reality star appearing in the pages of the magazine. Kanye is determined to make sure baby North isn’t photographed by paparazzi then splashed across the world. He knows what he wants -- a professional photographer and the cover of Vogue -- nothing else. But clearly, trying to persuade Anna is going to be an uphill battle." So Kanye has reportedly compiled a stack of statistics showing that the Kardashian brand sells magazines. But who needs Vogue, anyway?

Talk about not wanting to belong to a club that will take you -- I think Kanye just wants to break into the one club that won't let him in. If he's so concerned about North making a glamorous, non-tabloid debut, there are other magazines with just as much prestige.

W magazine featured Kim on their cover a while back, and they just did an interview with Kanye. It's kind of the smarter, more daring Vogue, in fact. I like it a hundred times better than bloated Vogue with its constant pandering to boring socialites.

What about Harper's Bazaar? Or one of the international Vogue magazines? Obviously Marie Claire, Glamour, and Cosmo are not quite fancy enough for Kanye (though just fine for the rest of us plebs). But he could think a little more outside the box -- like maybe Interview or Vanity Fair.

WHAT AM I SAYING?!? Am I really taking this question of where Nori's photos should be published this seriously? The EFF do I care? Ugh, I've got more important things to worry about here. Figure this thing out on your own, Kanye. I'm just saying -- not everyone thinks Vogue is all that.

But hey, Kanye is God! That means he can just command Anna Wintour, right? Or maybe when she sees how cute Nori is, it'll just melt the ice queen's heart. I'm rooting for you, Nori!
