Khloe Kardashian Is 'Thankful' She Had Trouble Making a Baby With Lamar

While we all watched Khloe Kardashian deal with her fertility issues over the past few years, our hearts collectively broke for her. Khloe made no bones about desperately wanting a baby with Lamar, but it never seemed to work out. But now that everything's come to a head with her husband (cheating and drug allegations that run rampant -- oh, and a DUI to boot!), Khloe's "thankful" she never got pregnant. And while I'm fairly confident she'd never regret a child if she did have one, I can't help but nod my head in agreement with her.

Khloe apparently told a friend, "I don’t regret marrying Lamar but I’m glad I didn’t get pregnant." She feels that it would be unfair to bring a child into such a toxic and chaotic environment. Khloe also added, "If I were to be pregnant this past year, while Lamar was melting down and sleeping with other women, the stress could have hurt the baby. I feel so glad now that we didn’t conceive."

Wow. Talk about maturity. And talk about someone who's going to make an amazing mother someday. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a baby between Khloe and Lamar wouldn't have been an ideal situation, but it takes serious insight for a woman who's had trouble conceiving for so long to say something like that. 

I'd love to see Khloe and Lamar get back together after he gets the help he needs, and for them to eventually have a child together. But I kind of doubt that's going to happen. So, hopefully Khloe will meet someone else someday and have a baby -- in a perfectly safe and serene environment.

Kanye West ‘Rants’ About Making Good Music and Not Caring About the Money -- Right On! (VIDEO)

Oh God, this headline again? Kanye West Another Epic Rant He's Crazy, bla! Bla! Bla! So he's had a few angry outbursts at the paparazzi. So he's proclaimed himself God a time or two. I'm sure he meant that metaphorically, and anyway, at least he's never boring. But it's gotten to the point now where any time Kanye says anything with passion, we have to go and call it a rant. Like this speech he gave at a listening party in Brooklyn. Okay, he's shouting, and he admits he's just had some Grey Goose. But it's not a rant. It's a sermon, people! Can't you tell he's preaching? Let's hear what he has to say.

To summarize, don't just make music for money. Make good music out of love and you'll turn out your best work. Don't be a sellout. Putting numbers on the back of a shirt makes for inferior design. Camouflage prints are so over.

Okay, he lost me with the numbers on shirts bit. And yeah, that part about making money is a bit rich coming from someone who's gotten, you know, rich off making music. But I get his point. Kanye has a history of struggling with record companies to protect his artistic vision. Maybe he's overly intense and his behavior is often inappropriate, but my sense is that he's totally sincere about trying to make the best music he possibly can and not caring as much about what's going to sell or be a huge hit.

Anyway, you know if this were a clean-cut white guy in a button-up yelling on an actual wooden soapbox at a country club luncheon in a romantic comedy, people would be up on their chairs clapping. "W00T Skip (as played by Ryan Reynolds) you tell it to your stuffy corporate lawyer father-in-law!" But it's Kanye, so we have to dismiss him as a drunken clown. All he's doing here is encouraging his fellow artists to do their best work.

PTA President Accused of Making Child Pornography ... at Elementary School!

A community is in turmoil after the former PTA president at the local elementary school was arrested. Cops say 37-year-old David M. Navarro (not to be confused with rocker Dave Navarro) recorded the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl on school property. Then he posted it on the Internet! Technically that means child pornography was being made at an elementary school!

How could such a thing happen? How could a guy who'd do that not only get into a school, but rise to the president of the Belfair Elementary School PTA? Surely heads should roll.

Well, maybe not.

The school's superintendent says they did a "state patrol background check" on Navarro when he became an elementary school volunteer back in 2011. It missed a 2009 charge for "lewd and lascivious acts with a child" as well as "indecent exposure." But that charge was dropped ... Navarro was never prosecuted.

Unfortunately, this is the shortcoming of background checks. Typically they only uncover things that have been prosecuted. If someone skates or -- almost worse -- flies under the radar for years, a background check does diddly squat. It can't really determine the potential for someone to do something bad, only if they have been prosecuted in the past for doing something wrong.

What we're left with is an imperfect system that puts people like David M. Navarro in a school. It puts a guy who police say shot at least six videos of this poor little girl, including one of her performing oral sex on school grounds, in a school.

The only good news in all of this is that authorities here in the states were tipped off by police overseas who noted a GPS stamp on one of the videos found online (because, of course, child pornography spreads like a virus) that directed them to the Bellfair school. They were able to nail their suspect.

Navarro is accused of uploading some 14 inappropriate photos to the site in addition to the video. He's facing federal child pornography charges. If he's guilty, he will go away for a good long time -- and that should show up on ANY background check.

Shared School Supplies Are Making Me Crazy

Do you remember when you were a kid and you were super excited to buy new school supplies? I do -- I can still recall the thrill of an un-scribbled set of Pee-Chee folders, that satisfyingly loud Velcro rrrrrrrip of a new Trapper Keeper, troll pencil toppers with their fuzzy style-able hair, fruit-scented erasers, multicolored push-up pens, and scratch 'n' sniff stickers (remember the pizza one that said "Hot stuff"?).

I have no idea how much money my mom spent on school products back in the day, but I can't imagine it was as much as I just shelled out for my kindergartener and second-grader. Not only did I drop nearly 80 bucks for items off their school's supply list, what really makes me nostalgic for the old days is the fact that they won't actually get to keep ANY of the things I bought.

Well, okay, that's not completely true. My second-grader's list included an 8" x 5" pencil box, which I assume he'll get to use. However, based on past experience, everything else goes straight into the shared classroom pool.

Now, before you think I'm about to complain about the hideous injustice of having to help contribute to our school's resources, I am SO not doing that. I realize schools have ever-dwindling budgets, families are crunched for cash, and in some cases, teachers end up paying for supplies out of their own pocket.

I would be happy to contribute cash for a communal set of supplies, but it seems to me that every year the supply list of products that I'm supposed to go out and buy -- that aren't meant for my own kid, but rather the classroom at large -- gets bigger and bigger, and more and more specific. This year, between my two kids (who are 5 and 8), I had to buy 70 Ticonderoga pencils. I mean, SEVENTY PENCILS. If every parent did this, there would be about 2,100 pencils between one second grade and one kindergarten classroom. And god forbid they're not Ticonderoga.

I also bought three reams of Hammermill paper, six Kleenex boxes, 16 Elmer's glue sticks, two packages of Expo dry erase markers, three boxes of Crayola crayons and pencils, two multi-packs of Pink Pearl erasers, and an assortment of (thankfully non-brand-name-required) binders and folders. Not to mention the $30 cash fee for "misc supplies."

I understand that it's logistically difficult for teachers to have to manage kids keeping track of their own supplies, especially since seating arrangements in classrooms aren't anything like they used to be (back in my day, uphill both ways in the snow, the top of our desks lifted up to reveal a storage area underneath -- in comparison, my kids sit at cafeteria-style tables). But isn't the responsibility of taking care of your own stuff an important lesson to learn in school?

I guess I can be convinced that a communal system is the only way to ensure all kids will have what they need, and that a shared supply eliminates unnecessary distractions and competitive behavior. I'm still bitter about those 70 Ticonderoga pencils, though. Frankly, if we were paying into a school fee for supplies -- maybe even twice a year so the school actually knows what they need -- the district could purchase everything in bulk and each parent would spend WAY less. The current system may be more fair, but it's wasteful and expensive for those who buy into it.

Kate Gosselin Admits Making 'Many Mistakes' -- So Can We Please Give Her a Break Already?

Since the debut of Jon & Kate Plus 8 back in 2007, mother of multiples extraordinaire Kate Gosselin has generated a near constant stream of controversy: First, for simply giving birth to six babies at once (after having twin girls); next, for "bossing" her husband and children around (did she really have a choice?); and most recently, for displaying what many considered "diva-esque" behavior following her divorce from husband Jon. Still, has any of the criticism been fair? (I say NO, but more on that later.)

Now that the kids are getting older (twins Mady and Cara are 12, and sextuplets Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, Leah, and Aaden are 9) and the fame-induced firestorm is dying down at last, Gosselin can conceivably take a minute to look back at the last 10 years of her life -- which is exactly what she's doing in the new issue of People magazine. 

"I made so many mistakes, of course," she says.

It feels like a whole other lifetime ago ... and sometimes I don't even remember much of it. Both when the babies were first born and during the divorce, I was on survival mode. I feel like I've lived two lifetimes already. I'm not the same person I was ... I don't even recognize her.

Honestly, that makes me kind of sad -- I liked the person Kate was back then. See, I was fairly obsessed with Jon & Kate ... when the show first came out, partly because all of her (super-adorable!!) babies vaguely resembled my own (half-Asian) kids. My daughter is actually the same age as Mady and Cara, so she liked tuning in, too. What struck me at the time was how down-to-earth Kate was -- and how strong. I'm sorry, but any working mom (Kate was a nurse, something which deserves respect in and of itself) who can manage to raise eight very small children and run a household relatively smoothly is doing something right. Sure, she was short-tempered at times (who wouldn't be?), but I think that mostly stemmed from her intense need for things to be organized -- and with six babies and two toddlers, you'd HAVE to be incredibly organized just to keep everybody alive! As for her "diva" stage, having been divorced myself, I recognized Kate's glam makeover and high standards for what they were/are: The tentative, sometimes misdirected steps toward reinvention so many of us take when we split from the fathers of our children and start new lives. 

The point is, of course Kate Gosselin made mistakes -- we all make mistakes, even those of us who aren't trying to raise eight children while going through a divorce as millions of people watch. She's just a mom like you or me with an unimaginably full plate, and it's not fair to judge the woman by any other standards.

Jenelle Evans' Toxic Ex Kieffer Delp Is Making a Play to Get Her Back

Jenelle Evans' amor vida tiene que ser uno de los más impredecibles y arriba y abajo de todo el Teen Mom stars. Nunca estamos 100 por ciento seguro de que no va a terminar la espalda con un ex... porque ciertamente ha sucedido antes. Y por alguna razón, uno de sus más notorios ex Kieffer Delp parece creer que tiene las mejores posibilidades de reunirse con Jenelle --y ha estado jactándose de ello en Twitter. Ugh.

Ayer, tweeted Kieffer, "Todos sabemos le gusto todavía mi amigo ella prolly en mis Noticias feed rito maldición ahora." Luego pasó a la dirección a actual BF Nathan Griffith de Jenelle directamente, diciéndole que está seguro de que "algún día que volverá." Oooh-kaay... ¿Dónde diablos viene esto?

Tienes que preguntarte si quizá Jenelle cayó algún tipo de pista que sigue interesada, pero rotundo contestó:

vosotros sois los que sigue locamente enamorado de mí. No al revés. Seguir adelante.

Bien por ella! Paciencia, esperemos que sea cierto! Todos sabemos que sería prudente mantener la puerta cerrada en la relación tóxica que se metió en problemas con la ley más de una vez. De hecho, ella incluso no debería estar comunicándose con el chico! Ella sólo le está dando la atención obviamente tan desesperado. Y con una historia como la suya, sería mucho mejor cortar todos los lazos... para siempre.

5 Simple Tips to Making Those Beautiful Flowers Last Longer

It's not every day that a lady gets flowers. Whether they're from some special someone or you're buying them on your own, the added pop of color brightens up the home and has a certain way of making us all feel special. That's why there's no bigger bummer than when you finally get fresh flowers into your home, settle them into the perfect vase, and then within 24 hours, they're kaput.

So how do you change that? What's the big secret to getting fresh flowers to last for days on end? Check out these 5 easy tips to making fresh flowers last:

1. Put your flowers in water ASAP: Once you trim the stems of your bouquet on a diagonal angle, immediately place the flowers into water.

2. Aspirin: This one's new to me. Simply crush up an aspirin and put it into the water before adding in your fresh flowers.

3. Hairspray: Just like your strands, flowers will stand taller if you give them a quick spritz to stay put. Reader's Digest suggests standing about a foot away and spraying the bouquet on the undersides of the petals and leaves.

4. Don't overcrowd your bouquet: You want to make sure that air can circulate between each of the buds. If you use a vase that's too small, the flowers won't be able to breathe and may become bruised.

5. Use a little soda: Pour about a quarter cup of soda into your water to make your flowers last longer. For aesthetic reasons, I would choose something on the clearer side like seltzer or Sprite.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are Making a Move That's Long Overdue

Well, it's about damn time! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are moving out of Kris Jenner's pad and into an 8,000-square-foot mansion where they can finally spread out a little with their new baby, North West.

And while this new rental is still a good 3,000 square feet smaller than the Bel Air home they'll be living in once renovations are complete, it still beats shacking up with Mama Kris. Kim, Kanye, and their baby girl are sure to be very content there, and safe and secure too.

Before they actually move into the place, they're having the entire security system upgraded. They're even going to far as to put surveillance cameras in North's nursery.

Geez. Sounds like this house will be somewhat of a fortress, but I guess you can't really blame them for wanting to ensure they have the highest level of privacy possible.

North is about the most in demand baby on the planet right now (until Kate Middleton's royal heir arrives) -- so it makes sense for Kim and Kanye to be a bit concerned about some nut breaking into the house to snap a photo of her (or worse).

And besides the whole security thing, Kim and Kanye will be so relieved to finally have their own space. In fact, a source told RadarOnline that the couple is "counting down the days until they move out of Kris' house."

Gosh. I can't imagine why. Getting used to life with a newborn must be a real picnic with your reality TV star mom standing over your shoulder 24/7.

And even though this place is only temporary, Kim is supposedly wasting no time in making it her own and turning it into a home rather than simply somewhere to stay until their Bel Air pad is complete. She's hanging pictures on the walls and is considering painting the baby's room to give it a custom touch.

(Wow. I've lived in my house for six years and still haven't hung pics. You go, girl.)

Kim and Kanye definitely won't regret this decision. Hopefully living on their own without a bunch of family members lurking around will only strengthen their relationship and make them even more comfortable being parents.

But if for some reason the new arrangement doesn't work out, I'm sure Kris would take 'em all back in a heartbeat.
