Mom Dangles Baby Over Balcony but That's Not Even the Dumbest Thing She Did That Day

A defiant mother who dangled her baby over a balcony by one arm and then posted the photo to her Instagram account to "make a point" has been arrested. Aisha Jean Clark, 25, from Florida, reportedly posted the alarming photo to prove that she can "do what [she] wants" with her baby and that "nobody can stop [her]." But alas for her. The police can and did stop her. So much for that theory.

The mom reportedly danged the 5-month-old baby boy over a railing two stories high, and someone below took a photo. She then posted the photo to her Instagram account. Friends who saw it called police.

Police say when they showed up at the woman's door and asked if she knew why they were there, she laughed and retrieved her iPad to show them the photo. Like these were her vacation photos or something?!

Officers promptly arrested her on a charge of child neglect. (Apparently you can only get away with baby dangling if you're Michael Jackson.)

Asked if she understood the danger she put her child in, the woman reportedly explained that she was "mad" and "making a point." Making a point to whom?! Her poor baby? Some idiots online? What? The only point she made here was that she's willing to put her child in danger for a stupid photo.

This didn't stop at least one neighbor from defending her, reportedly calling her a "good mother" and saying, "She [watches] my kids, so she's not a bad mother."

Wow. Someone might want to rethink their babysitter choice.

I don't know why people insist on broadcasting their stupidity and crimes online, but it sure is making law enforcement's job easier. Sometimes I wonder if people would do some of these things at all if there were nowhere to post them afterward.

Well, this mom got her photo. And she got to make her "point." But she lost her baby, who has been taken in by child services. Not exactly a good deal.

Why do you think people post these things online?

One-Pot Pasta Recipe That's Beyond Delicious and Has No Clean-Up

pastaI love cooking, but I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like, because the one thing about I can't stand is cleaning up. Even though I finally have a dishwasher (thank you, baby Jesus!), it's still a pain to scrub various pots; scrape plates; and wipe down countertops. And now that I have a child, I hate cleaning up even more. Kind of a bummer, because nothing beats a homemade meal.

Anyway, enough complaining. This is about solutions. I recently stumbled upon an amazing one pot recipe -- that's right, one pot! -- for pasta, broccoli rabe, and bacon, and let me tell you: It was unbelievable. And making things all the more unbelievable was the fact that the entire meal was made in one pot.

If you hate cleaning, but love delicious food, you need to make this absolutely fantastic recipe for One-Pot Pasta With Broccoli Rabe and Bacon.

One-Pot Pasta With Broccoli Rabe and Bacon adapted from Martha Stewart

Ingredients:

Coarse salt and ground pepper1 pound short pasta, such as fusilli or penne1 bunch broccoli rabe, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces4 slices bacon, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch pieces1/3 cup walnut halves, roughly chopped2 garlic cloves, thinly slicedGrated Parmesan, for serving

Instructions:

1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions. Add broccoli rabe 2 minutes before pasta is done cooking. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and set aside; drain pasta mixture.

2. Add bacon to pasta pot and cook over medium-high until some fat renders, 2 minutes. Add walnuts and cook until nuts are toasted and bacon is lightly browned and crisp, 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add pasta mixture; toss to combine, adding enough pasta water to create a thin sauce that coats pasta. To serve, sprinkle with Parmesan.

Amanda Bynes Is Crying -- But That’s Actually a Good Thing

Amanda Bynes is still in a psychiatric facility following an incident where she was caught lighting a fire in a stranger's driveway. Since then we've heard varying accounts about how she's doing: Some reports say her medications are really helping; others say that is premature. Her mother was just granted temporary conservatorship and she is obviously not ready to leave the facility, so it's hard to tell exactly how she's doing. But one bit of information that just came out sounds like she's improving, even though it's not something that, on the surface, would sound like an improvement. Reportedly, Amanda has been crying.

While this might sound like one of those Duh moments, like of course she's crying, she's in a mental health facility -- apparently those suffering from schizophrenia are often cut off from their emotions to the point where they don't cry. So crying is actually good news!

TMZ reports that Amanda began crying because she was "scared" over an upcoming court hearing. And while it's heartbreaking to think that she is crying and scared -- this is actually good news and viewed as an improvement.

But TMZ also reports that Amanda still thinks there isn't anything wrong with her -- which strikes me as a bad sign. Doctors apparently say, however, that she is able to form "clear thoughts." An insider told Fox411's Pop Tarts:

There are no drug problems involved, it’s all mental. She has deep anger and PTSD, which tripped a psychotic episode ... She is very ill, but manageable. Amanda genuinely wants to get better and has wanted to get better for some time.

Apparently the PTSD, which we normally associate with the trauma of war, was partly triggered by the trauma of Hollywood life! She also is reportedly not close with her parents and has deep resentment toward them.

Whether Amanda has schizophrenia or PTSD, it's still good that she's been in the hospital long enough to be closely monitored. Too many people who are in dire mental condition are not. Whether or not Amanda has a close relationship with her parents, she still needs their help to a certain extent. Maybe all of this will bring them closer.

Do you think Amanda is getting better?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Are Making a Move That's Long Overdue

Kim Kardashian & Kanye WestWell, it's about damn time! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are moving out of Kris Jenner's pad and into an 8,000-square-foot mansion where they can finally spread out a little with their new baby, North West.

And while this new rental is still a good 3,000 square feet smaller than the Bel Air home they'll be living in once renovations are complete, it still beats shacking up with Mama Kris. Kim, Kanye, and their baby girl are sure to be very content there, and safe and secure too.

Before they actually move into the place, they're having the entire security system upgraded. They're even going to far as to put surveillance cameras in North's nursery.

Geez. Sounds like this house will be somewhat of a fortress, but I guess you can't really blame them for wanting to ensure they have the highest level of privacy possible.

North is about the most in demand baby on the planet right now (until Kate Middleton's royal heir arrives) -- so it makes sense for Kim and Kanye to be a bit concerned about some nut breaking into the house to snap a photo of her (or worse).

And besides the whole security thing, Kim and Kanye will be so relieved to finally have their own space. In fact, a source told RadarOnline that the couple is "counting down the days until they move out of Kris' house."

Gosh. I can't imagine why. Getting used to life with a newborn must be a real picnic with your reality TV star mom standing over your shoulder 24/7.

And even though this place is only temporary, Kim is supposedly wasting no time in making it her own and turning it into a home rather than simply somewhere to stay until their Bel Air pad is complete. She's hanging pictures on the walls and is considering painting the baby's room to give it a custom touch.

(Wow. I've lived in my house for six years and still haven't hung pics. You go, girl.)

Kim and Kanye definitely won't regret this decision. Hopefully living on their own without a bunch of family members lurking around will only strengthen their relationship and make them even more comfortable being parents.

But if for some reason the new arrangement doesn't work out, I'm sure Kris would take 'em all back in a heartbeat.

Do you think this is a good move for Kim and Kanye?
