Penny DrossosFinally, it was the moment we've been waiting for all season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey (also pretty much the only thing we've talked about all season) -- the showdown between Teresa Giudice and Penny Drossos. Or I should say the big moment take two after that first fake, staged one when Penny backed up Teresa's story that they were not friends (with Teresa staring her down).

Melissa Gorga (aka Melissa GaGa) confronted Teresa with the accusations Penny had made about her last week, and Teresa, of course, denied them, saying she didn't know Penny from a hole in the wall. Then tweets about the Lauritas faking their son's autism for publicity started coming from Penny's husband, and everyone wanted answers as to why these people were so focused on taking down their family. Kim D's big store opening provided the perfect opportunity.

Jacqueline wasted no time in confronting Penny, whose husband, Johnny, wasn't there. Penny denied that her husband had ever tweeted that about Jacqueline's son ... then she changed her tune and she said they were put up to it. She continued talking out of both sides of her mouth when Melissa pulled her away to talk to Teresa.

It was comical really with all the fingers flying, and eff bombs going off. If only Teresa had saved her purple pimp outfit for this occasion, it would have been even better, but unfortunately she used that for her bizarro lunch/advice session with Victoria Gotti.

The whole Penny-Teresa confrontation was a bit hard to follow with all the yelling, but one thing came across very clear -- Penny said Teresa was behind everything. She said Teresa knew Melissa was being set up at the fashion show last year, and that she wanted to destroy her. Bam -- she confirmed what everyone has suspected about Teresa all along. The problem -- she's about as trustworthy as ... Teresa.

Teresa's only rebuttal was that Penny is crazy and wanted to destroy their family. I would really like to give Teresa the benefit of the doubt. I don't want to believe she'd really do these things to her own family, but she doesn't seem innocent either. And really, where else would Penny be getting all of this information? I think it's probably something like Jacqueline suggested --  Teresa started it all and then couldn't stop it when she wanted it stop. Now it's biting her in the ass.

Next week's finale looks intense, complete the brawl that has several of them still facing assault charges. Weren't they just singing "Kumbaya"?

Who do you believe -- Teresa or Penny?

'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Recap: Joe Giudice Admits He's Terrified To Go to Prison

Joe and Teresa GiudiceThe healing continued on tonight's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The Arizona dessert has done them all good, and they seem destined to go back to Jersey at least a little less dysfunctional than they came.

First up was horse whisperer/psychic Wyatt Webb. The cowboy with insight as deep as his drawl was a master at picking up on the issues each of them faced. Now, seeing as how their whole lives have played out on TV for years, he could have just done some serious RHONJ marathons to come to his conclusions, but he didn't seem the type. Regardless of his technique though, he did somehow draw out some deep emotions from the gang.

Rosie Pierri admitted that she often feels like she's not good enough because she isn't married with children. Al Manzo admitted he was emotionally abused as a child by his father; and Kathy Wakile admitted she puts herself last way too often. As poignant as those moments were, however, Joe Giudice's admission was by far the most shocking.

He admitted that he was worried about his upcoming trial. Once he did that, he was able to lift the horse's leg. It seemed small -- anyone would be nervous about a trial that could potentially send them to prison -- but Joe has never shown this kind of vulnerability before. Everything is usually one big expletive-filled joke with him. So it was surprising to see him show so much vulnerability.

Later when it was just him and Teresa, he expressed even more fear. He told her:

It's not like I'm a f**king criminal where I've been to f**king prison a million f**king times, ya know? I never f**king killed anybody, never did anything to f**king hurt anybody. I don't belong there and I don't wanna go there.

I've never had much, if any, sympathy for the guy, but tonight I felt some twinges of it. If he did the crime, then he needs to do the time, but it still was hard to watch that fear in him. Of course, there's also the strong possibility he was just trying to spin the story and get some sympathy while the cameras were rolling, but I felt for him regardless.

Mostly I feel for Teresa and their daughters, especially because he was just talking about the identity theft case against him at that point. This episode was filmed before the whole financial fraud case they both were charged with this summer that could send them both to prison for decades. If they were scared then, they've got to be terrified now.

Were you surprised to see Joe Giudice get so emotional? Did you feel bad for him ... even a tiny bit?

'RHONJ' Recap: Did Teresa Giudice Imply That Jacqueline Laurita's Son's Autism Is Due to Bad Karma?

Jacqueline LauritaIt was off to Arizona for the entire Real Housewives of New Jersey crew this week. It was Melissa Gorga's birthday, and they were determined to celebrate, relax, and continue the healing that began after their last group getaway.

The big confrontation between Penny and Jen and Melissa last week had stirred things up a bit. The Gorgas were more wary of Teresa Giudice and her involvement in the whole mess. "Something's fishy," Joe said. Still they decided to try and see if Arizona could bring about more resolution and bonding.

For awhile it did. Rosie Pierri told Teresa she'd jump in front of a coyote for her, and they all were moved after an energy healer brought both Rich and Kathy Wakile to tears with messages from their deceased parents.

As everyone but Melissa (who was sick) was out hiking, they stopped for a ceremony in which everyone was asked to write down something they wanted to let go of and then burn it. As one by one they all wrote down something seemingly related to Teresa, I was worried it was going to get ugly then. When it was Teresa's turn, she said, "I’m just really emotional listening to everyone who had a problem with me."

I thought that was going to be the beginning of a big brawl once again, but surprisingly, instead of her usually defensive attack, she called them all up to stand with her. Then she told them she was happy with how things were going with all of them, and that she wanted to keep working on things. It was very Kumbaya.

Then she and Jacqueline stepped aside. Jacqueline had admitted how much she'd missed Teresa, and there was a hugfest coming on. Then with just a few words, Teresa put a screeching halt to the rekindling of their friendship. She said:

My thing is I never want to do anything to hurt anyone else because karma might not only come back to me but to my daughters.

Jacqueline's face froze, and previews for next week show her ranting about how Teresa was perhaps insinuating that her autistic son's problems were a result of her bad karma. Honestly, I'm not sure I would have made that leap had it not been for Jacqueline's reaction. Teresa really couldn't be that cruel, could she?

But the more I think about it, why else would she say that? We know she has a propensity for getting words and phrases wrong, but this seemed perhaps a little more well thought out. It could be one of those things that she's been dying to say, but can throw out there in this manner and claim total innocence. I can just hear her now calling Jacqueline crazy for even thinking she meant that.

I'm honestly torn here. I don't want to believe anyone would go that low, but as we've learned time and again with these ladies, you just never know.

Do you think Teresa was making a dig at Jacqueline and her son with her remark about karma affecting your children?

Teresa Giudice Isn't Nervous About Going to Jail

teresa giudiceAccording to a source, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, quote, "doesn't give a f*ck" about her 39 indictment charges. "She knew the indictment was coming down. She knew it before the show even started, she just didn't know when it would happen," the source said. Tre apparently is under the assumption that her husband Joe -- and Joe only -- will be the one who "takes the fall" when things go down. So right now, she's just sitting back and enjoying life the way only a Giudice could.

Classy.

Lord knows how much truth there is to this story, but it doesn't really seem like Teresa -- or Joe for that matter -- is sweating this whole "could lose everything and go to jail for a really long time" thing. In fact, just a few days ago, Teresa posted a photo of her and Joe at the beach. And shortly after news broke about the fraud charges, Teresa was tweeting about her career.

For the sake of the kids, it would be really sad if either or both Joe and Teresa wound up going to jail. But I honestly don't know what else will get the message through to these people that they're not invincible. It doesn't seem like they've learned anything over the years. Neither has displayed an ounce of humility throughout this process. I mean, they just got caught in a super serious, super illegal financial lie, and Teresa is tweeting about how she just watched Rocky. That's weird.

Guess we'll have to wait to see what punishment, if any, is doled out to the Giudices. But I have a feeling they're not going to get off quite as easy as they did in the past.

What do you think of this?

Teresa Giudice Posts Smiley Beach Photo ... Because What Fraud Charges?!!

AppId is over the quota

giudice beach dayOh, well look who's been enjoying some fun in the sun despite 39 counts of fraud that could send them behind bars for 50 years? Our favorite Real Housewives of New Jersey lady-in-bankruptcy Teresa Giudice posted photos of beachy fun this weekend, like she and Joe haven't a care in the world. Look at this frolicsome pair! Dashing about in the surf, smiling/scowling/squinting as only they can. You'd never think they were on the hook for alleged conspiracy to defraud investors, illegally obtaining mortgages, hiding assets -- should I go on, or is that enough?

You may say, OH WHAT, are they supposed to just stay at home (er, well, at one of their homes) with the drapes drawn, wearing sackcloth and eating little torn-up pieces of cardboard for dinner? Is that what they're supposed to do?!?

YES. Yes! That is exactly what they should be doing right now. All of it. The drapes, the sackcloth, the little pieces of cardboard for dinner. That should be what's going on at Chez Giudice right now.

Oh all right. No, that's not what I'm saying.

I just think ... maybe if you're facing these charges, a little discretion is in order. Go ahead and enjoy a day at the beach (because who knows how many more of those you'll get after you-know-what). Just don't gleefully post the photos on the Internet. It kind of makes you look a wee bit overconfident about proving your innocence.

But silly me. Look who I'm talking about -- Teresa and Joe, discretion? Those names and that word shouldn't even be in the same paragraph together. Publishing this post might actually break the Internet, that's so ridiculous. The last thing Teresa and Joe are going to be is discreet. They may be going to hell in a hand basket, but they will go partying all the way.

So you know what? Forget everything else I just said. The Giudices should post all the beach photos they want. Go 'head and be their bad selves. Add some fruity, slushy tropical drinks while they're at it. If anything, I think the government is more likely to believe they have something to hide if they suddenly started behaving themselves.

Do you think Teresa should be posting beach photos at a time like this?
