kate middletonShortly after the official photo of Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Prince George was released, the world's least surprising thing happened: The dress the Duchess of Cambridge was wearing in the pic sold out. Because in order to become a princess, you need to dress like one.

Kate wore a dress by the British fashion label Séraphine, and if you're as big a Kate fan as you claim to be, you know that this is now the third time Kate has worn a Seraphine dress in the last few months. The style of the dress -- loose-fitting with a knot at the chest -- would look good on anyone. But the bright fuchsia color? Incorrect.

Kate Middleton has fantastic style, and I admit, I've definitely thought about buying a navy blue wrap dress after the royal engagement photo came out. But ... Kate Middleton would look good wrapped in tin foil. And tin foil would definitely sell out immediately if that's what she was wearing in the pic with Baby Cambridge. Just because Kate's wearing it doesn't mean it will look good on you! Sorry, not trying to be a meanie here (you're gorgeous!), but it's true!

This style dress would flatter pretty much anyone. But the color is too bright for a lot of complexions. So maybe consider picking up the dress, but just in a different color. Oh, wait. You can't. Because it's sold out.

Middleton, you and your sense of style have struck again!

Would you wear Kate's fuchsia dress?

kevin systrom kim kardashianSomething happened at a very special party over the weekend. It was like stars aligning. It was a meeting of the minds. It was like peanut butter meeting jelly, the sunset meeting the beach, cats meeting the Internet. Kim Kardashian met the CEO and co-founder of Instagram, Kevin Systrom. And then she posted a photo of them together. On Instagram. Oh my Yeezus, it's so meta I've got a headache now.

But this is some way for Kim to come out of hiding. Um, she's still in the shadows. Kim, why are you hiding? Is this on purpose? You know we already saw you in a flannel at the doctor's, right? (Awesome chambry cover-all, by the way. I totally bought five just like it as soon as I saw that photo.) Here she's practically behind Kevin. Hey Kim, it's not like you to be so camera shy.

Well anyway, still exciting for her. I just picture Kim shaking Kevin's hand and saying, "Oh wowww, you invented like the next best thing to TV. Instagram is like my faaavorite." 'Your favorite app?" Kevin asks. "My favorite TOY!" And then Kim pulls out a phone and takes a selfie, which Kevin photobombs. Just kidding, of course Kim wanted him in the frame. She's prettier than he is.

Or was taking the Kevin photo just another way for Kim to take a selfie without revealing anything from the neck down? Oh who cares, she looks great and has a big smile. Excellent use of shadows there.

So the woman who normally can't wait for the world to see her latest outfit, who blows thousands getting ready for every event, who makes a point of getting her photo taken in just the right lighting -- this is what we get? Man, I don't even KNOW YOU anymore, Kim! I bet Kanye loved this look, though.

Do you think Kim is feeling camera shy because of the baby weight?

Bride Who Has Dress Stolen on Wedding Day Is Saved by 911 Call

Your wedding day should be one of the most special in your entire life. So when it starts off with your wedding dress being stolen, things are not looking up. That's exactly what happened to a Washington state bride, who was loading up her car to prepare for the big event when she put her bridal gown inside, and then turned to go back into her house. When she came out again, her precious dress was gone. The hysterical bride called 911. And it turned out to be the best call she ever made. If your faith in humanity is wavering, read this story and it will be renewed.

The 911 operator who picked up the bride's call was a woman named Candice (who doesn't reveal her last name). She did what a 911 operator is trained to do -- she took down the woman's information, the details about the theft, and alerted police.

But something was niggling the back of her mind. She asked the bride-to-be when her wedding was scheduled. Says Candice:

When she said "today," my heart broke in two for her.

Yep, the poor woman had the misfortune of getting her bridal dress stolen on the morning of the day of her wedding. But her fortune was about to take an incredible turn.

After hanging up the phone, Candice turned to her supervisor and asked a question that no one had ever heard in the emergency call center before:

Can I offer her my dress? All through the call I was thinking, "I have a dress ... "

Candice and her husband, Brandon, had been married 18 months prior to the call. Her dress was sitting in her parents' attic. She knew there was a greater need for it right now.

After getting the go-ahead from her boss, Candice called the police who were responding to the bride's theft. She told them to ask the bride if she wanted use of her dress. After sending a picture of the dress via cellphone, the bride gratefully accepted. She even thought that Candice's dress would fit her -- quite a coincidence considering that Candice is very tall!

There was just one problem. The dress was in her parents' home and her parents were out of town.

Several calls later, Candice (who couldn't leave work) was able to coordinate getting the key to her parents' house -- which involved both her husband and her brother. All of the stars aligned in a crazy way -- Candice's husband wasn't even supposed to be around that morning, but he'd stayed home from a scheduled trip because he wasn't feeling well. Says Candice:

Brandon drove the dress to the fiance's house and dropped [the dress] off. The woman told me she'd get it back to me, and I said, "No hurry."

The wedding went off without a hitch, and Candice got another message from the bride thanking her for use of the dress.

Now what are the odds that these two would make this kind of connection? It was the fates, I tell you. The wedding gods. The bridal fairies. Obvs the woman and her fiance were meant to get married that day. Says Candice:

God does awesome things, and this woman, whose wedding day might have been ruined, had her special day after all.

Oh, but Candice, I think you had something to do with making her day special, too.

Have you ever had a wedding day scare? Have you ever had a stranger go out of her way for you?

Kevin Federline's Bride Victoria Prince Married Him in a Dress Fit for Britney Spears

Kevin Federline Victoria PrinceHer marriage to Kevin Federline came as quite a surprise last weekend, and now photos of Victoria Prince's wedding gown have been released. It's very Las Vegas, to say the least.

With a sweetheart neckline, tons of beading on the bodice, and a skirt of lace and tulle complete with a floral print -- this thing has Sin City wedding written all over it. You know, like something Britney Spears would pick out. (Eye roll.)

As someone who prefers very simple wedding dresses with little to no embellishment or detail, the gown certainly isn't something I would've chosen or even envisioned for my big day.

But still, she really did look beautiful. Considering Victoria married K-Fed, her attire is surprisingly clean-cut versus what you'd expect from his bride.

No offense to Kev, but he's got a bit of the bad boy thing going on, and somehow I picture him marrying someone in a skimpy, possibly leather mini-dress instead of a full-length gown. Even Victoria's hair is very traditional, pulled back into a simple updo and worn with a mid-length veil.

But you know what was really, really sweet about her wedding style? Victoria and Kevin's daughter, Jordan Kay, wore a little dress that had similar detail to her mom's, which is beyond adorable.

It's obvious that Kevin and Victoria were over-the-moon to finally make things official by getting hitched. They are clearly very much in love and ready to take this big step in their lives together.

I guess it really doesn't matter what Victoria wore -- because the smile on her face was the most beautiful part of her ensemble for sure.

What do you think of Victoria's wedding dress?

Printed fabric is a huge trend these days, but it can be a little daunting to make a purchase if you're used to wearing solids. A pretty blouse like this Gap printed cap-sleeve top in blue floral ($44.95 at Gap) is actually super versatile and can be worn with so many different outfits. It's also a very flattering shape: Hitting just below your hips, it'll look good un-tucked, tucked in, or partially tucked in!

Take a look at these three very different looks, from a dressy summery lunch ensemble to a cozy look for a cool fall day ...

1. Summery lunch date - a flattering pair of four-inch inseam shorts, some neutral accessories, and a flash of color:

LOFT rinse wash cotton denim shorts ($34.99 plus 60% off at LOFT.com); Nine West "Reelymind" wedge sandals ($59.99 at Piperlime.com); gold & white statement necklace ($28.50 at Torrid.com); laser cut clutch with chain shoulder strap ($59.95 at SoleSociety.com); Essie "Vermillionaire" ($8 at Essie.com)

2. Night out in the city - the chartreuse detail on the shoes adds a bit of the unexpected to this edgy but wearable look:

Line and Dot pleated trousers ($98 at Piperlime.com); EXPRESS graphic quilt clutch ($29.90 at Express.com); ASOS "head turner" heeled sandal ($67.88 at ASOS.com); Cara Link & Leather double wrap bracelet ($38 at Nordstrom.com)

3. Cozy casual - fall days are ahead, and this top will transition right along with you:

Dorothy Perkins mid wash distressed boyfriend jeans (on sale for $21 at DorothyPerkins.com), Pretty Piped cardigan in grey melange ($78 at BodenUSA.com); Sole Society "Addison" ankle booties ($69.95 at SoleSociety.com); Kate Spade "Apple of My Eye" stud earrings ($48 at KateSpade.com)

Which look is your favorite?

Miley Cyrus' See-Through Dress Is So Revealing It Will Make You Blush

Miley CyrusWell, it finally happened -- I'm speechless, y'all. Honestly, there really are no words to describe this photo of Miley Cyrus in a black see-through dress, which is so transparent, it's hard to understand why she even bothered getting dressed in the first place.

I mean, her boobs are on full display, to the point that it's pretty uncomfortable and embarrassing to look at her. She was on the right track when she showed up in the conservative-looking Chanel frock for her Good Morning America appearance -- but couldn't she have at least considered wearing a bra to appear on national television?

Don't worry, someone obviously noticed, because she wound up changing into an outfit that bared her midriff, not her breasts, for the actual show. (Whew!)

Oh, Miley -- what's the deal with always having to be half naked or have some sort of body part exposed? You're young. And cute. And really, really famous -- and you don't need to put your private parts on display to make people pay attention to you.

And I know her boobs are still perky so she can still get away with not wearing a bra at certain times -- but it's not preferable to do it when the dress you happen to be wearing clings to you like glue.

I want to like Miley. I really do. And I want to believe that there really is a nice, down-to-earth, wholesome girl underneath the funky, revealing exterior she seems to have a habit of putting out there.

But if she doesn't do herself a favor and go bra shopping sometime in the near future, her image is only going to go further and further down the drain.

Why do you think Miley refuses to put on a bra?
