Lamar Odom's Dad Blames All His Son's Problems on the Kardashians

As if Lamar Odom doesn't have enough problems, his notoriously absentee dad, Joe, ranted to RadarOnline about his son's recent issues. Joe, who pretty much spent the entire time he shared the camera on Khloe & Lamar asking his son for money or other favors, and who struggled with drug addiction in the past, says that Lamar's troubles are all due to the Kardashians. And he says so in no uncertain terms. I'm sure Lamar is thrilled that dad went bleating to the press. Among his golden nuggets of wisdom: The Kardashians "cursed" his son. He'd be better off without Khloe. And Kris Jenner is an "evil bitch."

Here's some of the other things Joe had to say to RadarOnline:

-[The Kardashians] brought him down. He would be better off without them.

- I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe.

- The mother has been talking a lot of trash about my son, saying he's on drugs and stuff like that. She’s got something against my son ... she's an evil bitch.

- In public [Khloe's] nice, but if you see her personally you see the real person come out of her. The mother’s like that too.

Woah, something tells me if Khloe and Lamar stay together, Joe won't be invited to many holiday gatherings in the near future.

Naturally, Joe doesn't stop to consider that perhaps his lack of parenting also contributed to emotional issues that may have left Lamar vulnerable to drug use. But he's too busy denying Lamar even uses drugs.

But scrappy Joe certainly tells it like it is sometimes too. This is one guy who isn't going to be cowed by the Kardashians. He rants:

I heard Kim say they don’t have crackheads in their family. That pissed me off. Look at where she came from. We don’t want porno stars in our family.

Oh, snap! Touché, Joe.

Lamar Odom's DUI Charge Is a Sign His Troubles Are Far From Over

Uh-oh, you guys. TMZ is reporting that Lamar Odom has been charged with one count of DUI stemming from his arrest that occurred back on August 30.

He was stopped on the 101 Freeway after the cops noticed his speed was too slow. They figured he was probably under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. After failing sobriety tests, he was arrested -- and if that's not bad enough, he refused to take a blood alcohol test.

(Gee. I wonder why?)

In addition to having his driver's license suspended for one year, Lamar will now have to face being arraigned on September 27 to determine whether or not he's found guilty of the DUI charge.

(And based on what's taken place over the past few weeks, it ain't lookin' good.)

Although I guess the good news is that by refusing to take the blood alcohol test, he saved himself from being charged with two counts of DUI, had he failed it. (Always a silver lining.)

Sigh. What happened that made Lamar go from being the cool dude we all saw being lovey-dovey with Khloe Kardashian on TV to a guy who's getting busted? It really is so unfortunate how he's taken a downward turn these days.

With any hope, he'll wind up in some sort of counseling or rehab to finally get the help he so obviously needs. If that doesn't happen, I'd hate to see what the next headline involving Lamar reads.

Lamar Odom’s Strange Nighttime Activities Make Us Wonder if He’s All Right (VIDEO)

So maybe you have more important things to think about -- in fact, I hope you do. But here at The Stir, we've been worried about Lamar Odom. Last week, when Khloe couldn't find him, we joked that Lamar was the new Where's Waldo. It was all shits and giggles until someone said, "I'm just afraid he's going to be found somewhere, dead from an OD." Ooh, downer. No one wishes that for Lamar, no matter what he's done. Well, to our great relief he's very much alive. Photographers snapped Lamar walking around downtown LA late, late last night. But is he all right? It's hard to tell.

Around 10 p.m. Lamar chatted and posed for photos with fans at his apartment building. Shortly after midnight he was seen stopping by a sushi restaurant (but not staying), and then strolling to a deli where he bought a banana. He ate the banana on his way back to his apartment. Then he left again around 3:15 a.m., got into someone's car, and returned to his apartment building around 6 a.m.

So, eating a banana is pretty normal. Guy's got the late-night munchies, and he made a healthy choice. It's not exactly crackhead behavior, but it is odd that he went someplace at 3 in the morning. Could be a hot club, could be a booty call, could be anything. He may have just had a restless night. But whatever is going on, we're just glad to see him alive and looking well. As his wife Khloe would say, "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." And if you ask him yourself, as one pap did, he'll tell you, "Life is good."

Lamar does kind of seem at loose ends, though. His marriage appears to be unraveling, and he's caught in a whirlpool of rumors about drug use and prostitutes. Can you blame a guy for not being able to sleep at night?

Lamar Odom's Teammates Try to Save Him From Drugs but It Won't Work

I'm still in utter disbelief that A) Khloe and Lamar have separated, and B) Lam Lam has an apparent drug problem. The latest developments in the horrifying downward spiral? At this point, reports have revealed that both his family and his friends have sat him down to talk about his problem. Last Wednesday, the Kardashians staged an intervention with Lamar to address his use of the prescription narcotic OxyContin and other hardcore recreational drugs. When that confrontation was unsuccessful, his teammates stepped in Monday and sat him down for three hours at a Los Angeles hotel. 

"Lamar was sweaty and talking very fast," an insider told Perez Hilton. "His hands were shaking and he couldn't sit still. He kept pacing the room."

Right now, it's hard to keep track of what "news" is speculation and what's 100 percent real. One thing is for sure, though. If all of these drug abuse reports are true, then Lamar definitely needs help.

Addiction is a scary, scary thing. When signs start to show that someone you care about is slipping, it's natural to want to do everything you can to help them get help. Often, that is more than just a sit-down talk like Khloe, her family, and Lamar's teammates attempted. An even harder thing to cope with? That an intervention won't immediately change the problem at hand.

Sometimes helping someone beat addiction means doing the things they are not willing to. Whether that means looking into rehabilitation facilities, seeking out a doctor for them to talk to, or helping them get out of a bad environment and thus removing them from the situation, every little bit helps.

The good news? Lamar plans to come clean to the public about his problem, which is a MAJOR step in kicking the habit. Let's just hope that instead of hiding when the inevitable backlash and criticism follow, he seeks out the help he really needs.

Khloe Kardashian Reportedly Confronts Lamar Odom’s Mistress at Motel

Khloe Kardashian has been battling breakup rumors for months. Since she and hubby Lamar Odom are rarely spotted together these days, fans and foes alike assume the worst. She's tried to pooh-pooh the reports by posting pictures of them seemingly happy and smiling (although Celeb Dirty Laundry claims those photos are old). And if new rumors about Khloe's behavior are true, the reality star actually thinks her man is stepping out on her. You won't believe what she may have done to Lamar's alleged mistress.

According to CDL, Khloe and mom Kris Jenner tracked down Polina Polonsky and confronted her. As Polina tells it, the mom and daughter pair came looking for her on June 22 at the Vagabond Inn. They supposedly busted the door on a suite, but it happened to be the wrong one. She says they returned a few days later and this time had the right room number. They pounded away, but allegedly Lamar refused to open the door.

Has it really come to this, Khloe? If this is true, this is a sign -- a sign that it's time to end your marriage. No woman should have to hunt down her husband's mistress at some seedy-sounding hotel with her mother tagging along for backup. It's just ridiculous and more than a little sad. Why keep pretending things are so perfect? I doubt her fans will judge her harshly if Lamar is the clear bad guy in this situation. If the man is over you, it's time to move on and recoup your self-respect.

For her part, Polina, a lawyer, says that Lamar had insisted he was single when they started hooking up, so she isn't in the wrong here. To back up her claims, she has even taken a lie detector test and passed with flying colors. Of course, it's her word against the Kardashian PR machine, so who knows what the truth is. But it certainly doesn't look like things are going in Khloe's favor. If her marriage is over, she shouldn't feel too bad about it. At least she outlasted Kim's disastrous 72-day union.

Just in case there were any lingering doubts, Lamar Odom and Kourtney Kardashian are still going strong. She did not kick him out of the house, and he certainly did not have an affair. That's the official line, and they're sticking with it. But for the doubters who are wondering who Lamar's mystery woman, Jennifer Richardson, really is (oops, I mean, Lamar's alleged mystery woman), here's all the scoop we could find so far.

We already gave you the timeline of Lamar's definitely fictitious affair. But Jennifer Richardson just made her first public appearance since the non-affair was revealed. Shall we meet her? All righty, then.

Tattoos and bandage dress. In the photos published by the Daily Mail, we see a large floral tattoo on one of Jennifer's shoulders, another tat running up her hand to her thumb, and a third tattoo on her chest peeking out from her dress. And that dress? It's a snug bandage dress with cut-outs revealing inner side-boob and what can only be described as mid-center boob.

(Thank you, dress designers, for putting us in the position of creating new geographical names for different parts of breasts.)

She has evidence of the affair. Supposedly Jennifer has plane tickets, basketball ticket receipts, and invoices from her affair with Lamar. (He gave her $3,000, remember?) Is she planning to sell the evidence to the highest bidder? Probably -- just like she probably called in the paparazzi for those photos.

She's hanging in LA. Jennifer was photographed leaving Eden nightclub in Hollywood, but we don't know that she actually lives there. I guess we could speculate that she's in town taking meetings.

Don't assume she's a stripper. According to the story, Lamar met Jennifer at a stripper bar. BUT! We don't actually know that she's a stripper herself. She could have been a waitress or a patron or the date of a guest.
