louise hiltonIt could have easily turned into every parent's worst nightmare: 2-year-old Louise Hilton walked right out the door of her daycare in England ... and kept on going! For half a mile! That's right, little Louise apparently decided she'd had enough of nursery school for the day and hightailed it home ... all by herself! According to her parents, at about 1 p.m., they heard a knock at the door ... guess who??

I bet right about now you're thinking, How on earth did that tiny little girl make it home alone? Of course Louise must be incredibly smart -- with a remarkable sense of direction -- but she's also incredibly, incredibly lucky. Just imagine what could have happened on that 30-minute walk!! Seriously, you do it -- I can't, because every time I try to imagine it, I start to feel ill. OH MY GOD, things could have gone so horribly wrong ...

According to her dad, John Hilton:

"It is frightening to think what might of happened had the wrong person seen her ... there is a canal 50 yards from the house and she always tries to jump in and feed the ducks when we go past but she cannot swim."

Cripes! It's enough to make me hyperventilate, and she's not even my kid! I bet right about now you're also thinking something like, How on earth did that tiny little girl escape from her daycare undetected? Supposedly, the facility is under construction and a workman left the door open by accident, which is a plausible excuse sort of kind of I guess not really. I mean to say, I can see how something like that could happen and be a legit accident. But in that case, I would expect one whopper of an apology if I were Louise's mom -- and as of this writing, her parents have NOT gotten any sort of "sorry" at all! Just a big fat "no comment."

I'm guessing Louise's parents are on the hunt for a new daycare, ASAP. Just look at this face:

And those curls! So cute, so smart ... so lucky.

Can you imagine your 2-year-old escaping daycare and walking all the way home?

Mom Outraged at Kid Seeing Racy Commercial Has Only Herself to Blame (VIDEO)

betrayalFlorida Mom Rebeca Seitz has a major beef with ABC. As she and her child ate their breakfast while watching Good Morning America, they apparently got the shock of their lives. During a commercial break, an ad for the drama Betrayal popped up depicting a steamy sex scene. Seitz was floored that 1) her 8-year-old had witnessed such thing and 2) that the network would air it. "This wasn’t primetime. This was a commercial about a primetime show airing while we all enjoy cornflakes and coffee and wish our kiddos a good morning," she wrote on her blog.

But I have to say, if there is anyone to blame in this situation, it's Seitz herself.

She went on to write, "My kid saw that ... Not because I took him to a movie wholly inappropriate for his age. Not because I quit parenting and just told him to turn on the TV at 10pm and watch whatever."

She posted her "confusion" and disbelief" on Facebook along with a screen shot of the sexy scene and promptly got a warning that she was breaking the sites code of conduct rules. She has since been doing interviews talking about her whole "ordeal."

But I just don’t get this mom’s outrage. GMA is not children’s television. It's a morning news show. By definition, news is not kid-friendly. Seitz says she watches the news with her kids in order to teach them about what is happening in the world. But these shows are not made for children. They cover crime, deaths, murders, stories of a sexual nature. Did she let them sit through the coverage about the Jodi Arias murder trial too?

If you allow your children to watch these programs, you are taking a certain amount of risk over what they will ultimately see on that show and in its TV commercials. That's just the reality of the situation. Ultimately, you are responsible for what your kids see on TV in your own home. I say, keep on Nick, Jr when they are eating their Pop Tarts or better yet, just talk to them about the news stories you think are important for them to know.

Do you think this mom is overreacting?

someecards.com - Lately, I've found myself asking my readers rhetorical parenting questions in a not so overt attempt to assuage guilt and make sure I'm not alone. Last week's guilt driven query was: Is it wrong for the "Tooth Fairy" to steal money from one kid to pay the other?

PS: The answer according to my Facebook Fans is a resounding no. Whew. Though I fear that armed with this knowledge, I may be asking them next week if the same goes for paying the pizza delivery guy. Oh well.

That said, I'm guessing there is a slew of questions every mom will ask herself at least once -- here are just a few...

1. At what age do I have to tell them babies don't come from your belly button?

2. Is it wrong for the "Tooth Fairy" to steal money from one kid to pay the other?

3. What the hell sound does a chick make? Does it go peep-peep or chirp-chirp? Or does it squeak? (Wait, it may only squeak if you step on it, crap.)

4. Is it really worth it to fight over them brushing their teeth every day, twice a day? I mean, they're just gonna lose them all anyway, right?

5. How much longer before one of them realizes I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing?

6. Will I ever be able to wash all my body parts during a single shower?

7. How many times in one day can a child utter the word mom/mommy? How many times in an hour? A minute? A second?

8. How can such a tiny adorable thing produce such an offensive disgusting odor?

9. If I freeze right now and act like a statue, will he fall back to sleep so that I can exit the room, or did I just screw up my whole night by checking on him (again)?

10. Is it creepy that I want to snuggle with them forever?

11. What did I do today that they will bring up years from now in therapy?

12. Will my kids ever eat things that one couldn't find on a kiddie menu?

13. Does jumping in the pool not count as a bath?

14. Will my child still be using a diaper/binky/blankie when she walks down the aisle?

15. Why does it seem like they're the messiest right after I clean up?

16. Will it ever be possible to make it across my house without stepping on or tripping over a Lego, Barbie, ball, skateboard, drum stick, puzzle piece, My Little Pony, or something they got in a Happy Meal?

17. Is it considered child labor if I tell them part of the reason I had them was to answer phones, let the dog out, and bring me water?

18. When did I go from being the most awesome person ever to the most uncool person to walk this Earth?

And these are the top 10 from my readers (thanks guys!):

19. When will he learn I really DON'T have eyes in the back of my head? - Lynn

20. How long will "kisses" make everything feel better? - Amy

21. At what point will they understand the words coming out of my mouth, THE FIRST TIME?!? - Steph

22. How much longer 'til they turn on me like rabid dogs? - Carolyn

23. Will my husband and I EVER be able to sleep alone/naked/all night again? - Kimberlie

24. At what point did I become my mother, and is this really a bad thing? - Loren

25. Do they deliberately aim for the wall next to the toilet? - Daniel

26. How much longer 'til I get to go over to THEIR houses & mess everything up? - Joanne

27. How much longer can I keep telling them it's the law to learn to swim? - Sarah

28. When can they get jobs? - Michele

You know you wanna add one ... go for it!

jenelle evans another car selfieI have some shocking Teen Mom news here. You are NOT! Going! To believe it! Are you ready? Make sure you're sitting down first and hold onto your hats. It concerns our favorite, most sweet-tempered and trouble-free Teen Mom. Jenelle Evans says she's a bitch sometimes just because. "Sometimes ill be a bitch just to be one, hahahaha! Ask @GroundLevelUp, he completely understands me to a TEE!" she tweeted yesterday to no one's great surprise.

OMG, right? Really, Jenelle. You don't say.

Okay, but that said, this is classic Jenelle Evans, isn't it? I love how honest she is about her temperament. I mean, we pretty much know this already. In one short tweet she's pretty much summarized almost her entire MO in life. It's her entire world view. Jenelle Evans 101, right there all right.

But if I'm honest with myself, I have to admit I can kind of relate. Maybe I'm not a bitch just to be one quiiite as often as she is. But don't you ever just get a case of the mean reds for no reason (hormones) (kids) (painful women's shoes) (life stuff) and feel like unleashing some of your wrath on the world -- even though the world so does not deserve your wrath?

I'm not Jenelle's age, nor am I a reality TV star, though. So I have to keep a lid on it -- and I do, most of the time. But I like knowing I can deploy my inner bitch when I need to. Sometimes I'll be a bitch... just because I need to be one.

Are you ever a bitch just to be one?
