She came in like a WRECKING BALL and completely shattered everything we ever thought we knew about her. Hey Miley Cyrus, a little piece of advice: Put your tongue back in your mouth and put your clothes back on. Seriously, you're making a fool of yourself. Ugh, you've got to see this to believe it:

Military Ban on Pit Bulls and Big Dogs: Best for Families or Completely Cruel?

pit bull angel stand up for pitsAngel the pit bull makes a plea to the POTUSThis week, President Obama introduced the world to Sunny, the First Family's new dog and Bo's new playmate. But he's also making headlines for news related to a whole bunch of other dogs! The White House has come out against breed-specific legislation, or any regulations and laws that restrict ownership of dogs by breed. Pit bulls are usually the most common target. And ironically, one of the highest profile organizations to enact these sorts of bans is none other than the U.S. military ...

The Marine Corps bans "large dog breeds with a predisposition toward aggressive or dangerous behavior," including pit bulls, from on-base housing, and many Air Force, Army, and Navy installations have followed suit. (DogsBite.org has a list of bases and municipalities that have banned certain dog breeds.)

As if that wasn't enough, in Prince George's County, Maryland, pit bulls are banned altogether. According to the Maryland Dog Federation, those found within the county are usually either put down or donated to families in other areas. Ugh, horrible! No wonder the White House felt it necessary to speak out on this.

Families -- military or otherwise -- should be able to have whatever dog they want. The issue is not so much about the breed as it is about dog owners being responsible and informed. As the White House notes in their full statement, "The simple fact is that dogs of any breed can become dangerous when they're intentionally or unintentionally raised to be aggressive." Sad, but true! In fact, the White house notes that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found it "virtually impossible to calculate bite rates for specific breeds." Hello, that's definitely a case to keep the military and any other community from targeting specific breeds!

The solution, then, to guard against dog bites should be as the CDC suggests -- a "community-based approach," which would help "build stronger communities of pets and pet owners." Sounds like a win-win plan for every person -- and every dog.

What are your thoughts on the White House's statement and bans on specific dog breeds?

Farrah Abraham Asks Fans to Buy Her Expensive Gifts in a Completely Offensive Move

Farrah AbrahamTeen Mom Farrah Abraham has done a lot of bizarre and crazy things over the years, especially since leaving her MTV days behind her, but perhaps nothing has been as insane and entitled as her latest stunt. Farrah has publicly broadcast her extensive Amazon wish list. And what a list it is ...

From her "fans," Farrah has requested (among other things): a $900 dress, a $1,400 bookcase, a $500 rug, $300 shoes, and a $750 chandelier. Classy, eh? Why she expects people to buy her anything is entirely unclear, but one thing that is clear: This girl is WAY out to lunch.

Looking back, maybe the signs were there all along. Farrah was always a bit of a spoiled brat even in the 16 & Pregnant days. But God. She has gotten worse.

Asking fans to buy her things is really kind of the lowest of the low. And that's saying a lot given she has already done porn. This woman needs to get a grip and fast. Besides, didn't she already make a million dollars or more from her porn, er, excuse me, "sex tape"?

Look, it's fine. She thinks she is famous. Maybe some really lonely old men out there will buy her a $750 chandelier. But maybe a better plan for her would be focusing in on her child and letting go of this "fame" monster that is clearly consuming her.

We all wish for many things. Apparently Farrah just thinks she can get him. Hell, maybe the reason people hate her so much is that she represents that greedy side of all of us. It's that side that would do anything for money and wants a pink chandelier. It's an ugly side we like to hide. We can look at Farrah and be horrified because she puts it out there, ugliness and all.

I guess she's doing what she can to survive. I just wonder what the price will be to her daughter.

Do you think Farrah's wish list is ridiculous?

Kate Upton's First 'Sports Illustrated' Cover Made Her Completely Miserable

Hace sesenta años, sucedió a Marilyn, y ahora pasa a Kate.

Parents Who Stalk Their Kids at Camp Aren't Completely Nuts

Penulis : Unknown on donderdag 8 augustus 2013 | 16:53

stalking momSending your kids to camp is a very un-helicopter parent-like move. After all, the first rule of helicopter mom club is don't let the kids out of your sight (second rule: don't talk about helicopter mom club, natch). But it turns out parents who DO send their kids off to enjoy themselves without Mom and Dad for some summer fun have been bitten by the bug: they're stalking their kids!

How? How does one stalk their kids at camp? Ah, the beauty of social media, my friends.

Now you can stalk your kids from a million miles away! Just look at their camp pictures online!

Naturally, some parents are talking it a wee bit too far. One camp staffer admitted to the Wall Street Journal this week that they've received calls from parents all in a tither because, OMG, their child isn't SMILING in photos, or they are making a thumbs down gesture.

Clearly, those parents are nuts.

But is it really so bad to check out your kids' photos at camp? Provided, of course, that you understand that photos only capture a moment in time, and don't always tell the whole story?

When we use words like "stalking" or "spying" on kids, it all comes off as rather creepy and untoward.

So here's a better one: curious. I am CURIOUS about what happens to my kid when I'm not around.

I have never sent her to camp, in part because it's expensive and in part because I live in a part of the country where parents actually SEND their kids to camp (the owner of one of the camps quoted in the WSJ has not one but TWO camps that are very near my house!). But I do send her to school.

I know what it's like for her to be away from me for long periods of time.

And I'll admit it. I'm curious.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in the cafeteria, hear how she and her friends negotiate cookie swaps and seating arrangements. I wouldn't mind hiding behind a tree on the playground and watching as she navigates between the groups of little boys and girls, plays puppies and "chase." If I could set up camp behind the bleachers and peer out to watch her teamwork in gym class, I would.

More From The Stir: 30 Summer Memories Every Kid Should Have

I don't do any of that. Of course I don't. I have a full-time job to do while she's at school, not to mention a lick of common sense. It would be humiliating for my daughter to have her mom follow her around and humiliating for me, the adult, to have so little self-control.

But that doesn't mean I don't think about it, doesn't make me stop wondering and sometimes worrying.

That's my JOB! I'm her mom.

I already know what she's like at home. Why wouldn't I wonder what she's like away?

So I'll admit it ... if I knew I could take a sneak peek at photos of her every once in awhile (I'm not talking a video feed of the classroom here, just a photo or two), I sure as heck WOULD take a look.

How about you?
