maci bookoutThings are going well for Teen Mom Maci Bookout and boyfriend Taylor McKinney right now. Actually, things are going so well for the couple that Maci is talking marriage. She hearts Taylor, and Taylor hearts her, so why not just take the plunge already?

Okay, so that's not exactly how Maci put it, but pretty close. Here's what she had to say about her lovah:

"He’s like the identical version of me, except he’s a guy. We’re looking for the same things in a marriage," Maci said in an interview with In Touch Weekly. She then talked about how she considered getting back with Ryan Edwards, the father of her adorable 4-year-old son, Bentley. But then she realized that was a bad idea. "I love Taylor, not Ryan," she said.

Good for Maci. If anyone deserves happiness, she does. And getting back with Ryan -- just because he's the father of her child -- would be a bad idea for all parties involved, especially Bentley.

It takes maturity to know that what might seem like a short-term "fix" for you and/or your child isn't always the path that should be followed. Maci and Ryan didn't work out for a reason. And if they gave things another go, things would only wind up being more painful -- especially for Bentley -- in the end. Bentley's parents should both be with people who make them happy. Because a happy parent is a good parent.

Now, come on, Taylor! Pop the Q already!

Would you like to see Maci and Taylor get married?

'Teen Mom' Maci Bookout Puts Son Bentley First Even When She's Sick

Maci BookoutHow many times have you read a Twitter post from another mom and nodded your head and said, "Oh yeah, I've been there honey?" I've done it a million times, and that's exactly how I felt after hearing that Teen Mom Maci Bookout took her son Bentley bowling even though she was sick and didn't particularly feel like leaving the house.

The poor girl just wanted to crawl back into bed and get some much needed rest, but since she'd already told Bentley they'd hit the bowling alley, she had to go ahead and surrender a sick day.

Oh wait ... I almost forgot -- moms don't get sick days. Like ever. No matter how under the weather we are, we're still required to be "mom."

And it's really, really hard sometimes.

During my son's seven years of life, I can't even count the number of times I've sat on the floor and played with him even though my head hurt so bad I could barely stay upright. And then there have been the times when I've had some sort of funky stomach bug going on and was so nauseous I could barely fight the urge to gag -- but I still mustered up the strength to fix him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and drove him to school while hoping and praying that I didn't puke all over the kitchen floor or sh&% my pants in the car.

It's like the minute you give birth, you completely surrender your right to the luxury of being sick. And when I say luxury, I'm being totally serious. Is there anything better than getting into bed and sleeping the day away in a really dark room without having to worry about anything but getting over whatever illness is plaguing you?

And even if you do have someone there to help out and watch your child so you can get some rest while you're sick -- most moms either feel really guilty about it, or constantly worry about what is going on with their child to the point that they don't sleep at all and wind up making themselves even sicker.

Hopefully Maci did at least manage to get to bed early after Bentley was asleep for the night -- which is pretty much all any mom can hope for when she's not feeling well.

When was the last time you took a real sick day?

teen mom 3Get ready for all new baby mama drama! Teen Mom 3 is set to premiere on August 26 and we have a sneak peek. The new cast comes from season 4 of 16 and Pregnant as they face life as young moms who don't have a clue what they are doing. Check out the video. It could be MTV's craziest installment yet.

Among the new moms: Alex's dreams of opening a dance studio are permanently on hold as she juggles three jobs. Things are so bad between Briana and her baby's father that she left him off the birth certificate. Katie hopes motherhood won't end her education. She is taking online classes at a community college and dreams of transferring to a four-year university. Former cheerleader Mackenzie is engaged to her son's father, but they hit a devastating rough patch. Your heart will break, not just for these teens, but also for the innocent babies caught in the middle.

It's hard to watch these girls go through this. Any adult who has had a child knows how difficult it is to raise a child when you have an education, job, and steady support system. None of which these girls have. If anyone thinks Teen Mom glamorizes teenage pregnancy, they clearly have never watched an entire episode.

Will you watch the new season of Teen Mom?
