AppId is over the quota

How many times have you read a Twitter post from another mom and nodded your head and said, "Oh yeah, I've been there honey?" I've done it a million times, and that's exactly how I felt after hearing that Teen Mom Maci Bookout took her son Bentley bowling even though she was sick and didn't particularly feel like leaving the house.
The poor girl just wanted to crawl back into bed and get some much needed rest, but since she'd already told Bentley they'd hit the bowling alley, she had to go ahead and surrender a sick day.
Oh wait ... I almost forgot -- moms don't get sick days. Like ever. No matter how under the weather we are, we're still required to be "mom."
And it's really, really hard sometimes.
During my son's seven years of life, I can't even count the number of times I've sat on the floor and played with him even though my head hurt so bad I could barely stay upright. And then there have been the times when I've had some sort of funky stomach bug going on and was so nauseous I could barely fight the urge to gag -- but I still mustered up the strength to fix him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and drove him to school while hoping and praying that I didn't puke all over the kitchen floor or sh&% my pants in the car.
It's like the minute you give birth, you completely surrender your right to the luxury of being sick. And when I say luxury, I'm being totally serious. Is there anything better than getting into bed and sleeping the day away in a really dark room without having to worry about anything but getting over whatever illness is plaguing you?
And even if you do have someone there to help out and watch your child so you can get some rest while you're sick -- most moms either feel really guilty about it, or constantly worry about what is going on with their child to the point that they don't sleep at all and wind up making themselves even sicker.
Hopefully Maci did at least manage to get to bed early after Bentley was asleep for the night -- which is pretty much all any mom can hope for when she's not feeling well.
When was the last time you took a real sick day?
