breastfeedingEarlier this week, an Illinois mom was told she could not breastfeed at a YMCA pool. She was told by the lifeguard that she needed to go into the restroom to feed her 7-month-old daughter.

Understandably, she's upset, and that's why she plans on meeting with the COO of the YMCA -- though her hopes for the conversation might surprise you. She's aiming to use the incident as an opportunity to educate people and also to help women understand their rights as far as feeding their babies in public.

And while I get what she's saying and agree that breastfeeding moms need to be able to nourish their children whenever and wherever they happen to be -- there really are a few places where it seems a bit out of place.

Sit back down and stop yelling at your computer. I'm not saying that women should not be allowed to breastfeed in public. Still, I do think there are certain instances where they need to be a little more discreet about it -- either by covering up or moving to an area where there are fewer people.

More from The Stir: Mom Kicked Out of Pool for Breastfeeding & She Deserved It

Whether it's purpose is to feed a baby or not -- a boob is still a boob. Sometimes it's a little uncomfortable to see in certain situations, like the ones listed below.

The Pool -- Might as well start with swimming pools since the mom from Illinois is who got me thinking about breastfeeding in public in the first place. Pools generally have tons of kids in and around them, and as the mom of a 7-year-old, I wouldn't want him splashing around and seeing a mom sitting near the pool with the top of her swimsuit down. I already shudder at the thought of him looking at breasts when he's a teenager, let alone as a second grader.Restaurants -- I've seen moms feeding their babies in restaurants on several occasions, and I'm fine with it when they're wearing a coverup. But I do remember one occasion where I looked over at the table next to me in the middle of my meal and saw a boob in its entirety (before the baby had latched on -- so I saw this woman's bare nipple). It made me feel very awkward and uneasy. It was just so ... out there. Didn't have much of an appetite after that.Airplanes -- Yes, I KNOW babies need to eat on the plane as much as anywhere else, but this one honestly has more to do with safety than anything else. With all of the cases of creepy men groping women or hitting on them mid-flight -- the more covered up moms are, the better. Honestly, I'd probably ask the flight attendant to seat me in a row of women if I was a breastfeeding mom.Kids' sporting events -- Again, there are just too many children running around, and it's probably not a good idea for them to look to the sidelines and see breasts staring back at them. I just keep thinking about my own child and what he'd think (or say out loud) if he were to see too much skin.Church -- It's wonderful when moms want to bring the kids to church and nurture their faith early on. But a coverup is a necessity with a baby in tow. Do I really have to elaborate here?

Are there any places you make it a point to be more discreet while breastfeeding?

6 Places to Get the Most Bang for Your Buck When You Sell Your Old iPhone

moneyAdmit it. You want a new iPhone, and now you're going to try to trade your old one in. Or sell it. Or break it. Or eat it! Anything to get your hands on a shiny new phone.

But before you go accidentally leaving your iPhone on the roof of your car before driving away, look into these six options for getting the most bang for your old iPhone buck. You genuinely can make a pretty penny!

1. Gazelle. Go to Gazelle. Gazelle is one of the most popular iPhone trade-in services out there -- and with good reason. They give good money for old iPhones. Good money as in up to $300.

2. eBay. Tons of people sell their old iPhones on eBay and wind up getting good money, because, hopefully, a bidding war ensues. Just be sure to be up front about the condition your phone is in. Don't say "like new" if the edges are all dinged up. Not cool.

3. Craigslist. Again, you have a little more control when you sell your old phone yourself. And hopefully you'll get multiple offers and will be able to sell to the person offering the most. You know, just like you did with that couch from your first apartment out of college.

4. Facebook. Finally, a genuine good reason to be on Facebook! Say you're selling your phone on the social networking site and see if anyone's interested. You may get more interest than you think. Wouldn't you rather buy a used phone from someone you know, as opposed to a complete stranger?

5. Apple's Recycling Program. Apple offers gift cards for, where else, Apple when customers trade in their old devices. You simply have to send them your iPhone, iPad, or computer, and they'll determine if it has monetary value.

6. Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart just announced that, starting later on this month, they're going to offer customers the opportunity to trade in their old, undamaged phone for a credit of between $50-$300. The selection can be used toward a new phone, and there will be over 100 options to choose from. Not bad.

Are you going to trade in your old phone? If so, where?

Despite major risks to body and reputation, people still insist on having sex outdoors and in weird places. All in the name of "spicing things up." Well, things really DO get spicy when you have to go to the hospital, the clink, or the morgue because of having sex in places people should NOT be having sex. Keep in your beds, people! Here are 10 places people should never have sex -- but DO. If you can believe it!

A woman in Russia was found naked outside, with her head stuck in a handrail. She and her boyfriend had apparently decided to do the dirty up against the rail when her head slipped through the bars and she became stuck. Douchebag boyfriend disappeared and the cops had to get her out.
