Marriage is supposed to be for better or worse. But, unfortunately, some spouses take that to mean their worse -- not yours! Yeah, they’re all, "Hey, marriage is all about in sickness and in health -- can you go to the drugstore for me?” but when the sniffles are turned, they run for the nearest exit. Or they don’t move at all. Or they say, "While you’re at the drugstore getting Sudafed, could you pick me up some ginger ale?" One woman’s husband brought this to the most callous extreme when his wife of 15 years was diagnosed with breast cancer -- and he refused to help at all.

Beth Gainer says:

I went through chemo and radiation alone and I did everything. I took care of myself alone and I had to work one full-time job and one part-time job.

Never mind that Beth had been supporting her husband emotionally and financially for years because of his mental health issues, when it came to her physical ones, he just completely checked out.

It’s definitely not the first time I’ve heard of this kind of thing -- and I’ve experienced a little bit of it myself too. Guys who are all about you bringing the chicken soup, giving them the backrub, and running to the pharmacy for them will tell you you’re "overreacting" or a "drama queen" when you’re sick or just refuse to help at all.

I had one friend who was married to a man for several years who just flat-out refused to set foot in a hospital or doctor's office, which meant she had to undergo every single medical procedure by herself. Oh, and then he didn’t want to even talk about anything either. Never mind that he had his own medical problems and she would faithfully accompany him when he needed it.

I think "in sickness" is one of the most important part of a couple’s marital vows. Sure, there are people who decided to leave a relationship after a catastrophic accident that leaves one person paralyzed or completely helpless -- and that is something I’m not going to judge.

But with any relationship -- whether it's short- or long-term -- there’s a pretty good chance one party will have, at least, a few colds. Maybe the flu. Possibly an iffy pap smear. Or a lump in the breast. Or something. A guy (or a woman) who refuses to help or acknowledge when you're sick is definitely going to be a difficult person to be with as you grow older. Either learn to accept it or get out.

As for Beth, she divorced her husband, saying: "I realized that I only had myself and so I decided since I'm alone through cancer ... I might as well be alone and I might as well enjoy life."

Right on, sister.

Oh god. It's getting worse. Much worse. I thought Miley Cyrus would, for lack of a better phrase, tone it down a bit after she and Liam Hemsworth broke things off, but no. Not even a little. Whatever the opposite of toning down is? That's what Miley's doing. Need proof? Just shift your gaze to this photo of Miley wearing little more than tape over her boobs and a pair of undies.

I know.

Typically, when a girl and a guy break up, one of the first telltale signs of how things are going for the female is how she starts dressing. If Miley were suddenly spotted in jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers, we'd probably think: "Hey, Miley seems to be more introspective lately. Maybe she's thinking about how she's been acting and starting to regret some of her recent antics?" Or if she started walking around looking completely unkempt -- hair a mess, pajama pants on -- we may think: "Yikes. Miley really doesn't seem to be doing well right now. I hope she's okay." But the fact that Miley is dressing more revealing than she has in the past (who thought that was possible?), it makes us think: "Wow, Miley doesn't seem to be doing all that well ... and she has absolutely no idea whatsoever. Also, she isn't going to stop any time soon!"

This ... is not an outfit. It's a fishing net and some office supplies. I'm not sure who told Miley after she got dressed: "Yeah! That's a great idea to wear that in public!" But whoever it is, they're not her real friend; they're her mortal enemy. Because this is ridiculous. Miley has a hot body, and if she wants to show it off, she has every right to. But I really have no clue what the hell is going on here. It actually could be her worst fashion choice yet. And after the non-clothes she wore to the VMAs, that's saying a lot.

Miley, I hope you're okay, girl. Kind of doesn't look like it.

Kate Middleton Can Finally Relax When She Leaves Prince George

If you're wondering why Kate Middleton looked oddly relaxed in a photo with Prince William recently, it's because she left Prince George with the nanny for the second time now. The first time a mom leaves her baby with a person who's not a relative? Oof, it's a sobbing, guilt- and anxiety-ridden extravaganza. The second time? Ahhh ... you can actually breathe and take a moment to realize, "Hey, I'm not covered in poop!"

Not everyone is lucky enough to not work and/or have relatives close by, so for some, leaving baby alone with, well, more or less a virtual stranger is a necessity. Of course, you interview them and check their references ad nauseum (and have them come to the house to hang with baby a few times before The Big Day), but still. It's awful. The pits. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But after you get that first time out of the way, it's ... not so bad. The second, third, and fourth times aren't exactly a walk in the park. But they're ... not so bad.

The first time I left my daughter to go to work, it was a sh*tshow. I work from home a few days a week, so I got to be there the day the sitter started, but the day I had to commute to my office? Hoooo boy, was it terrible. I sobbed the entire morning, and checked my phone/texted with the babysitter about 973 times. Was she crying? Did she miss me? Did the nanny remember to burp her just so? But every time I had to leave after that, it got easier. Easier in the sense that I knew my child was in good, safe hands. (Not easier in the sense that I didn't still miss the crap out of her.) I could relax and focus on other things. Things, like, you know, work. But that first time? It's a doozy. I'm sure Kate is glad to have that out of the way. And to you other mamas out there who are yet to do this: Godspeed. It ain't easy.

'RHOM' Joanna Krupa Leaves Little to the Imagination in Cleavage-Baring Mini-Dress (PHOTO)

Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa has no problem showing off her bangin' body while out on the town. Yay for healthy self-esteem! But boo for feeling the need to rock out with her breasts out. Yuuuup, Joanna all but went topless while attending a Passion Nightclub Friday night bash at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Joanna flaunted her figure in a royal blue mini-shift, which, like her partner in partying crime, RHOM co-star Lisa Hochstein's bandage dress, left little to the imagination in the cleavage department. Is it just me or is this look bordering on totally overplayed by now?

After being slapped on the wrist and warned not to flash too much butt, cleavage, side-boob, etc., almost every starlet and pop star in Hollywood has worn a dress like this that basically bares as much of the breast as they can get away with. It was hot the first few times, but now it's getting OLD and tired and, well, expected. Like the go-to way to show off your breasts -- or, in Lisa's case, boob job. And it's running the risk of looking so stale.

I'd even be a bigger fan of the "boob window" look -- you know, same thing but with a sheer material over the cleavage -- at this point, which is still bordering on overkill, but hasn't jumped the shark quite yet.

Ultimately, I subscribe to the belief that if you're going short and showing leg, you can't flash too much bust, too. Pick one or the other. Otherwise, you run the risk of looking like a tramptastic trainwreck.

Not saying that's what Joanna looked like at all. She can clearly push the limits of showing a ridiculous amount of skin. However, paired with the photographic proof of the 34-year-old newlywed acting like a spring break co-ed in Girls Gone Wild? That's another story ...

Pregnant Woman Killed by Tree Branch Leaves Military Dad-to-Be Behind

A heartbreaking and freak accident happened over the weekend in which a pregnant woman was killed, leaving her 20-year-old husband behind. Yingyi Li-Dikov was doing one of the most innocuous things a human could possibly do -- sitting on a bench at a park -- when a tree branch fell on top of her, killing her and her unborn baby girl. Li-Dikov was hanging out at a park in Queens, New York, presumably exercising since she was in jogging clothes, when an uprooted oak tree fell and crushed her. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but sadly was pronounced dead on arrival.

Her husband, Aleksandar Dikov, who recently completed basic training for the National Guard, is, understandably, heartbroken. "She was a very great and loving person," Dikov said. "I was so happy to be with her. She was the one for me. She was the best thing. I don't think I'll find another girl like her. I know I won’t.”

Talk about life being unfair.

On any given day, there are millions of people doing dangerous things. And by no means do they deserve to die, but it's just so ironic and weird and cruel that a pregnant woman with her whole life ahead of her, and her baby, would be killed from sitting on a park bench. Something she and her husband probably never in a million years thought would put her in harm's way. Dikov, who must have been so thrilled to have his first child on the way, now is left with nothing. No wife. And no baby. He's no longer a husband; no longer a father-to-be. His life as he knew it is over.

I truly can't think of any possible explanation for something as awful and random as this happening. It just flat-out seems like life being mean and unfair. Thoughts and prayers to Yingyi's loved ones, especially her husband.
