iphoneThe new iPhone's here, the new iPhone's here! Unless you want the gold model of the iPhone 5s, in which case, you've got to wait until October ... sucker. For the rest of us less demanding folks, the time has come to get our new devices. Which means, unless you're patient enough to wait for your phone to arrive via snail mail, you're going to have to wait in a very, very, very long line.

But that's okay! Waiting for a million hours will only heighten your anticipation. Not buying it? That's okay! I've compiled a list of different ways of keeping yourself busy until you can get the latest model of everyone's favorite smartphone all up in your mitts.

Lines can be a cruel mistress. Did you bring enough water? How about a seat to rest in when your tootsies get too tired? We're not going to focus on the practical logistics, we'll leave those up to you. Here are 5 ways to pass all of that time as you wait in line.

1. Do Some Push-ups

Because the only thing more awesome than owning the newest iPhone is owning the newest iPhone while having impressive amounts of upper body strength.

2. Play a Game of Telephone

What better game to play while waiting for a new phone? Get the whole line involved! Telephone isn't just for kids anymore. See how badly garbled your message will get. A fun time had by all.

3. Flirt

Use your time waiting to strike up a casual convo with the hottie waiting nearby. Hey, who knows -- you already share at least one common interest.

4. Meditate

In this busy, frantic world, it can be hard to find a little "me" time. Harness you chi and shut your eyes as you wait. Time to get your zen on.

5. Update Your Contact List

Before you know it, you'll have your new phone in hand and be ready to transfer your data. Take this time to cull your address list. If you're anything like me, you've got numbers you don't need. I have one saved listed as "Emergencies Only" that directs callers to a recording of Rick Astley just Rick Rollin' the heck out you via the phone. It's really time I lose that one.

What will you do to pass the time while you wait, read your favorite blog maybe?

The New iPhone From Apple Is Cheaper, More Colorful and Full of Surprises

iPhone

Although black usually goes with any outfit, sometimes you just want a splash of color -- in your phone. Apple, after years of offering only two colors, has just announced the iPhone 5C, a thinner, cheaper iPhone that comes in five candy-hued colors.

What's so special about this new phone? Well, for one, it's far cheaper than any iPhone before. For about $99 for an entry-level model, you basically get the same iPhone available now but at a budget price. The phone also features iOS 7, the new operating system that pulls the iPhone out of the dark ages.

Obviously a new color isn't that exciting so Apple also released something called the 5S, a faster, more powerful iPhone with a far better camera and flash, better processor, and a built-in fingerprint sensor that allows you to unlock your phone just by pressing your finger on the home button.

Is this all a big deal? Sure. It's a massive departure for Apple to offer a phone with such a large cosmetic change. It's also cool that the 5S is far faster than even the most powerful phone on the market these days. This means you get better video and photo editing, better gaming, and better overall performance.

Apple is also making its iWork and iMovie apps free to owners of phones running the new operating system. This is an interesting move because it introduces a whole new group of users to these powerful apps and could convince people to move away from Word and Excel and instead use Apple's own tools.

Fans of bling will also be pleased: the new iPhone 5S will also come in gold.

Are you going to get one?

6 Places to Get the Most Bang for Your Buck When You Sell Your Old iPhone

moneyAdmit it. You want a new iPhone, and now you're going to try to trade your old one in. Or sell it. Or break it. Or eat it! Anything to get your hands on a shiny new phone.

But before you go accidentally leaving your iPhone on the roof of your car before driving away, look into these six options for getting the most bang for your old iPhone buck. You genuinely can make a pretty penny!

1. Gazelle. Go to Gazelle. Gazelle is one of the most popular iPhone trade-in services out there -- and with good reason. They give good money for old iPhones. Good money as in up to $300.

2. eBay. Tons of people sell their old iPhones on eBay and wind up getting good money, because, hopefully, a bidding war ensues. Just be sure to be up front about the condition your phone is in. Don't say "like new" if the edges are all dinged up. Not cool.

3. Craigslist. Again, you have a little more control when you sell your old phone yourself. And hopefully you'll get multiple offers and will be able to sell to the person offering the most. You know, just like you did with that couch from your first apartment out of college.

4. Facebook. Finally, a genuine good reason to be on Facebook! Say you're selling your phone on the social networking site and see if anyone's interested. You may get more interest than you think. Wouldn't you rather buy a used phone from someone you know, as opposed to a complete stranger?

5. Apple's Recycling Program. Apple offers gift cards for, where else, Apple when customers trade in their old devices. You simply have to send them your iPhone, iPad, or computer, and they'll determine if it has monetary value.

6. Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart just announced that, starting later on this month, they're going to offer customers the opportunity to trade in their old, undamaged phone for a credit of between $50-$300. The selection can be used toward a new phone, and there will be over 100 options to choose from. Not bad.

Are you going to trade in your old phone? If so, where?

New iPhone 5S Is TOTALLY Worth the Wait if These 3 Rumors Are True

appleThe iPhone 5S is supposedly making its genuine human interaction-killing way into stores some time in the very near future. "Very near," as in September 10, as that's when the official Apple event is scheduled to be held. Idiots people are already lining up in front of Apple stores to be the first (read: coolest) one out of their friends who can say they have the new iPhone. And while that's something I would never in a million years do, the new iPhone is rumored to have some cool new features

Many are claiming that the new iPhone is going to have a fingerprint scanner as an increased security measure. The China Times was the first to report this information, and backing this theory up is PayPal's chief information security officer, Michael Barrett, who said, "There is going to be a fingerprint enabled phone on the market later this year. Not just one, multiple," in a recent keynote speech. Pretty cool, as iPhones are seriously hot commodity for thieves.

Another rumor swirling around is that there's going to be a gold model added to the current black and white iPhones. No word on whether the gold iPhone, if available, is going to be the same cost as its black and white counterparts, or if it's going to be a more expensive version. Let's hope the same, because paying a higher price for a color is ridiculous.

And, finally, the most exciting iPhone rumor of all is the possibility of there being a new, "cheaper" iPhone available. (This, also, is the most widely-reported rumor, so it would be a fairly big shock if this weren't true.) Reportedly called the "iPhone 5C", the cheaper phone may be a bit smaller and come in a variety of pastely-looking colors. No word on how cheap this iPhone 5C will be, but I mean, come on, how cheap can it possibly be? This is Apple we're talking about here.

And now we wait.

Are you excited for the new iPhone?
