Creepy Clown Terrorizes Small Town and Now There’s a New Place We’ll Never Visit

Now in totally creepy news that makes me glad not to live in the small U.K. town of Northampton, there’s a loitering clown that likes to stand on street corners and stare at random passersby. The unidentified bozo first appeared on Friday the 13th and looks like he just walked off the set of Stephen King’s It.

The strange stranger has appeared in several areas of town, always with the same red wig, white face makeup, all-in-one jumpsuit, and oversized bowtie. Occasionally he carries a clown teddy.

He doesn’t do any of the fun clown things like ride a tiny bicycle or juggle or make balloon sculptures. He just ... stares. One woman reported that he knocked on her door and offered to paint her windowsills, even though he had no paint or brushes. She reported the suspicious behavior to the police.

Although he first appeared less than a week ago, the Northampton Clown has over 77,000 ‘likes’ on his Facebook page, where he tries to dispel the rumors that he’s carrying a knife.

Word to the wise: If you have to dispel rumors that you’re a knife wielding maniac because of how you’re dressed ... you might want to change clothes.

Ok, so it’s probably not illegal to look like a sociopath about to go on a murdering rampage while laughing maniacally in a scary clown costume, but what kind of person gets off on making people uncomfortable at best, and frightening them at worst?

Heck, a random guy standing on street corners staring at people is creepy enough. Put him in a clown suit? Unbearable.

Are you creeped out by the Northampton Clown, or is it all in good fun?

Police Raid Day Care and Find Crack In Craziest Place Imaginable

They were entrusted with the care of more than a dozen children every morning and filled their cozy day care center with books, toys, and games.

But the couple who operated the Fun World Childcare day care center in the Bronx should have added security safe to their list of work expenses. The two were busted Wednesday for allegedly stashing more than $300,000 worth of drugs and cash in areas so obvious even a two-year-old could get their hands on them.

Johanna Vasquez and her husband Gregorio Hanley were arrested after cops raided the day care and said they found 300 grams of cocaine hidden in a blue Hot Wheels lunch bag in the fridge, 150 grams of crack-cocaine, 1,000 oxycodone pills, and $20,000 stashed in a kitchen cabinet. Police said they also discovered a loaded 9 mm pistol at a stash apartment across the street that the couple had access to.

Making matters even more nuts, the couple lived on the same floor as the day care with their two sons, ages 6 and 3. So not only were they unconcerned with the welfare of the 15 children who attended their day care, they were totally fine with leaving drugs in unlocked spots like refrigerators, where even their own toddler could easily access them.

And here's a scary fact: Fun World Childcare was a fully licensed operation. These two followed every legal step necessary so they could then take poor parents' money and provide in return a dangerous environment where their children could have accidentally overdosed on oxycodone or been present during an armed robbery -- or way worse.

Judging by the photos of Fun World Childcare, the day care looked like any other, filled with colorful toys, posters, and books. So it's easy to see why parents wouldn't have been the wiser about this horrible discovery. I can't imagine how difficult it will be for them to put their trust in another day care operator.

At the very least they can feel good about the charges these two incredibly untrustworthy people face: in addition to being accused of selling and possessing a controlled substance, they are charged with endangering the welfare of a child

Thank goodness no child was hurt while under the watch of these two nutjobs.

Do you think the criteria for running a day care is strict enough?

Prince William Wants to Make the World a Better Place for Prince George's Sake

Prince Willam & babyAs cliché as it sounds, everything in life really does change once you become a parent -- even if you're royalty. And that's why it shouldn't come as a surprise that in the upcoming CNN special, Prince William's Passion: New Hope, New Father -- the Duke of Cambridge admits he wants to "safeguard the future" for Prince George, and plans on continuing his charity work in Africa in the hopes of doing so.

He was always committed to the conservation work he's done over there, but having a baby really made him realize just how important it is and how much he believes in it.

And I think every mom and dad out there will nod their head in agreement. Each and every single one of us worries about our children's futures and wonder what kind of world they will grow up in.

And as Prince William will find out soon enough, the concern over Prince George's well being and safety as he gets older and ventures out into the world will only continue to grow.

Remember how nervous you were the first time you left your baby with a sitter (other than a family member?). For many parents, that's the first time their child is really out of their control, which can be a very unsettling and scary feeling. And as kids get older and go off to school, extracurricular activities, and college and beyond -- we still worry about them. It's only natural that Prince William is thinking about Prince George's future even though he's only a few weeks old.

It's actually pretty touching that his new son is inspiring him to keep trying help those in other parts of the world. It makes sense that he would want to use his position of power to ensure that when Prince George is an adult and has his own children, he'll be living in a world that's better off (hopefully) than the one he was born into.

Geez. Kate Middleton sure is one lucky lady. Not only did she marry a prince -- it turns out he truly is Prince Charming in every sense of the word. There's really no greater quality a husband can have than being an amazing father to his children, and it's obvious that Prince William has already demonstrated that in the short time he's been a dad. (And you know he'll only get even better from here.)

Do you worry about your baby's future as much as the present day?

Parents Outraged Over Ke$ha Concert Never Should've Brought Their Kids in the First Place

KeshaA group of parents who took their kids to a Ke$ha concert last Friday are all bent out of shape -- no, make that horrified and appalled at the lewd behavior the singer engaged in on stage throughout the show.

Complaints from parents range from being disgusted that she "made reference to her genitalia and sex acts" to being shocked that she gave the crowd the middle finger and "dropped f-bombs" during her performance.

And all I can say is, how in the heck did these parents not realize that they were attending a Ke$ha concert -- not a One Direction, Taylor Swift, or some other squeaky-clean perfectly kid-appropriate act? Don't they have the slightest idea who Ke$ha is?!?

The woman claims to have had sex with a ghost, for crying out loud -- so it's not like anyone should expect any of her concerts to be on the tame side. Did I mention she also has a line of jewelry shaped like penises? (Um, hello?)

I know these parents were probably only trying to do something fun and special for their kids, but I'm sorry -- they're just plain irresponsible if you ask me. Many of them are upset because the concert was open to all ages, and they feel like that served as some sort of indication that Ke$ha's performance would be like some kind of Disney show. But duh, of course it was open to all ages -- because musicians tend to like to sell as many tickets as possible. Also, the concert was held at a casino and they wanted to make it clear that people under the legal gambling age could attend.

But regardless of that, it's not the job of the concert venue to decide what is and is not acceptable for children to see -- that's the parents' job.

And any mom or dad who is planning on bringing their child to a concert needs to a.) listen to the music first and know who they are dealing with, and b.) do a little research on the performer if they don't have time to sit down and listen to their music.

Sounds easy enough, right?

I know exactly what kind of music my son is a fan of, and while it's all pretty innocent at this point, I know his tastes will change as he gets older. And there's no way I'm letting him go to a concert without knowing exactly what types of songs and/or behavior he's likely to see at the show.

These parents have no business complaining about something that was completely in their control had they only made it a point to pay a little more attention. If nothing else, hopefully this will make them more aware of just how important it is to monitor the type of music their kids are listening to and choose concerts accordingly from here on out.

Would you ever taken your child to a Ke$ha concert?

Baby Who Miraculously Survived Fall Down Mountain Shouldn't Have Been There in the First Place (VIDEO)

A baby has miraculously survived a 100-foot fall in the Swiss Alps. The 1-year-old baby girl plummeted off a cable car that was climbing a mountain in the Alps, and astonishingly, she survived thanks to being put inside of a "rucksack" -- like a backpack -- and falling into a tree on the way down. But this isn't an entirely happy ending. For when the cable car lurched, it not only sent the little girl careening over the side -- but her parents too. And they were not so lucky.

The family was reportedly traveling 2,200 feet up Baerlaui Alp, Switzerland, in a cable car that was supposed to only be used for freight, not people. When they were 100 feet off the ground, the car reportedly lurched and tipped everyone over. The couple died instantly from head wounds, but rescuers heard whimpering from the rucksack in a tree and looked inside. The baby, severely injured, was alive. A spokesperson for the rescue said:

The rucksack cushioned the fall. Otherwise she would be dead too.

The couple were apparently on holiday and lived in Canada.

This is no doubt a tragedy, but it does bring up an interesting question about traveling with your baby -- and whether it's proper to bring them on the same kinds of excursions you used to do when you were babyless. Do you go skiing with your baby? Parasailing? Even just hiking?

If you're an outdoorsy, adventuresome type, it's probably second nature to you to go up a mountainside or take on some other high-risk sport that doesn't feel high risk to you at all.

But everything becomes high risk when there's a baby involved. One of my friends just mentioned that she'd gone skydiving over the weekend. I wondered whether anyone should skydive if she has a child (my friend does not, but it crossed my mind anyway).

On the other hand, should you not drive either, which is more dangerous than most of those other sports?

The cable car in this instance doesn't sound safe at all. Not only was it not made for human passengers -- it had nothing to keep the people in if it tipped over. And to have a baby in a backpack seems kind of strange.

All in all, not a risk I personally would have taken.

At any rate, the baby is now out of danger, and relatives are being contacted. It's a tragedy that she's now an orphan.

Do you bring your baby when you go on somewhat high risk excursions?
