Mila Kunis may be off working in Canada, but that doesn't mean Ashton Kutcher is at home sitting on his hands. The actor (I have a hard time associating this word with a man who starred in The Butterfly Effect) and philanthropist flew to a conference in San Jose in support of his online children's protection group, Thorn.

Why is this so exciting? I mean, other than the fact that it's always vaguely reassuring to see a celebrity doing good works. Ashton attended the conference with a friend you've maybe heard of. Yeah, that's right. Ashton attended the conference with his ex-wife Demi Moore.

The couple has always been candid about their friendship, but I always figured they were using "friendship" as a shorthand for "I would not set this person on fire if given an opportunity." I mean, come on, Demi filed for spousal support from the guy! They did battle over it! There's no way they sit around braiding each other's hair.

So why are they allowing photogs to snappy-snap all these pictures of them now? Could it have anything to do with the Ashton-Mila engagement rumors that were circling last week? If Mila is putting the pressure on Ashton, this would be one way for him to send her a pretty clear message. "Here I am with my hot ex-wife with whom I do good works and presumably once had pretty hot sex with on a regular basis -- I CAN'T BE TAMED."

Kristen Stewart's Laid-Back Smiles Could Be a Secret Message for Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart was spotted by a fan hanging out in Berlin a couple of days ago. Was she wailing and gnashing her teeth? No. She was (brace yourselves) smiling. Laughing, even. Like she might have been having fun. Shocker.

KStew looked mellow and relaxed on the streets of the German city where she's currently shooting a new flick. While she wasn't giggling up a storm like her ex Robert Pattinson was with model Camille Rowe not so long ago, she wasn't exactly in hiding either.

Kristen's looked pretty grim for most of August as she has worked with actress Juliette Binoche on the film Sils Maria. Though let's be real -- Kristen looking dour as all get-out is the opposite of a new development. With Rob prancing around town with basically all of the hot blondes out there, you kind of can't blame her. He's been sending her the message that he's over her loud and clear, which can't be fun.

It looks like that message has finally been received. If this photo is any indication, Kristen has made up her mind to leave the stage of a breakup where you lock yourself indoors and blast Adele while main-lining gelato. While it's not as though Kristen was spotted strolling arm-in-arm with a new dude of her own, it's nice to see she is no longer playing vampire herself and nursing her wounds indoors. Some vitamin D in moderation never did no harm!

Khloe Kardashian Sends Mysterious Message That Could Be About Lamar Odom

When Khloe Kardashian Instagrams words instead of a pretty picture, you can be pretty sure she's trying to say something -- and we'd all better listen up. What message have you for us this day, great oracle? Khloe tweets: "Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, but you don't." Ahh, I see ... but what does it MEAN???

We could read this a few different ways. First, this could be about Khloe's husband-ish Lamar Odom. Maybe he has a very good reason for cheating on Khloe. (Snerk.) Maybe he did NOT in fact cheat on Khloe, it just really, really looks that way and we do not know the whole story. Or maybe this isn't about Lamar at all.

This could actually be Khloe's plea to not judge her. She could be feeling defensive about her whole awkward sitch. Some people may be giving her shit for supposedly kicking Lamar out of their home. Other people may be giving her shit for not divorcing him already. (Um, okay, that's me.) That would leave Khloe feeling caught in the middle of a hater sandwich.

What she really needs is to think this all through, whatever THIS is, the scandal and whatever actually happened or did not happen. And it's probably hard to do that with all of us yelling at her about what to do. Aw shucks, I guess she's telling us she really doesn't need our advice.

But I just hope Khloe knows a lot of this noise we're making comes from a place of fandom. People really like her (or whatever, her public persona, the character she plays on reality TV) and just want her to be happy. But fine, I will wait a whole week before writing another post about Khloe and her apparent marriage issues.

Oh yeah, Khloe also Instagrammed this: "If the whole world was blind, how many people would you impress?"

Wendy’s May Be Sending a ‘Secret Message’ to Moms About Their Food

Have you taken a close look at Wendy's new logo? It's been out for almost a year, and there's one little detail that's got people arguing: The ruffles in Wendy's collar seem to spell out "MOM." Is this a secret message to moms and kids or just a crazy coincidence? Wendy's claims the "MOM" design is unintentional. "We are aware of this and find it interesting that it appears our Wendy cameo has 'mom' on her ruffled collar. We can assure you it was unintentional," a spokesperson told The Huffington Post.

Well ... even if it was unintentional, it's kind of perfect, isn't it? I mean, with all the effort Wendy's is going through trying to make healthier menu options, it sure doesn't hurt to have the word "Mom" flashing on their logo.

Plus, it doesn't hurt that people just love Mom's cooking -- most people, anyway. So you just happen to let that maternal word slip into your subconscious while you're thinking about where you want to eat. Maybe, just maybe, it would gently steer you to where you think you'll find love and comfort.

As one logo blog points out about the supposedly hidden message in Wendy's logo, "When growing up our brains learn to love what's on the menu at home. Most of us also associate home cooked meals with a safe and loving environment. Most people have a sentimental attachment to at least a few of the dishes their mothers used to make." So of course Wendy's would want to trigger that sentimental attachment in diners -- either with their newer, more healthy menu items or with, oh, I don't know, a very clever logo redesign.

But they'll never tell! Whatever the case is, something is working. Wendy's restaurants featuring the new logo are reeling in 25 percent more in sales. People like eating at Mom's.
