So, it happened. Kailyn Lowry is now married. OK, re-married ... or whatever you call it when you throw a big shindig a year after your courthouse ceremony. The Teen Mom 2 star and Javi Marroquin had their under the sea wedding over the weekend, and she stands to make a mint on it.

In Touch and Life & Style are both running spreads on the Lowry and Marroquin nuptials this week. That's right, Kail sold out to the tabloids! Can you blame her?

It seems some of her fans are not too happy -- or should I say critics? Kail got blasted on Twitter for cashing in when she often makes a big deal about protecting her privacy. She makes a good point ... but let's just think about this for a second.

When you're a celebrity, how do you keep the paparazzi from ruining your wedding? Especially after you've leaked the date to the entire Internet, practically inviting them to show? You lay down some ground rules with the photographers ... by granting them access.

We don't know how much Kailyn and Javi might have made off of the deal here, but if they did make something, I'm still saying good for them. This is for the good of their family.

The Teen Mom gravy train isn't going to last forever -- season 5 seems like a go, but even that was so uncertain that a sixth season is highly unlikely. The more money they can sock away now, the better off they'll be in the long run ... especially with baby number two on the way.

Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry has come a long, long way since her days on the MTV show. She is now married to Javi Marroquin, mother to an active 3-year-old, and expecting baby number two. To celebrate her pregnancy, Kailyn took a series of nude and nearly nude pregnancy photos that were shared on several sites. They are lovely (see them here). 

I am sure that some people will judge her for taking this photo, but as a fellow pregger, I say you go girl! First of all, she looks fantastic. At 21, she still has perfect legs and everything is where it supposed to be, so good on her. But more than that, pregnancy is really a beautiful time.

Oh sure, I know, we all feel disgusting and overweight and not ourselves. I know I do now, in fact. But I also have the perspective of two prior pregnancies and I know that I will look back on this and think I was beautiful. Now, I wish I had photos of my babies in my belly.

Too often, during pregnancy, we lose perspective. Kailyn is smart in that she knows she will want to remember what she looks like right now. She knows it will matter to her.

It is also a sexy time. Oh we might not FEEL that way at the time, but the reality is, it is a time where we are ripening, blossoming, and moving into a new phase of life. It should be recorded.

Kailyn's photos went public and I am sure some will judge that, but I say it's a great thing. Why shouldn't we have more examples of pregnant women who are proud of their form and proud of the changes happening within them.

Pregnancy might feel like forever when you are in the midst of it, but in the long run, it is a blip, an instant, a small moment in your life. It is worth recording and sharing and being proud.

There is nothing fiercer than pregnancy. Kailyn looks great and she is proud of it. Good for her for showing it off.

Kailyn Lowry Decides to Be a Stay-at-Home Mom

Teen Mom star Kailyn Lowry is quitting her job as a dental assistant in Pennsylvania even though she loves it and she makes a good amount of money. Cue the Internet freak-out! It's true that money was tight for Kailyn on the show and some may wonder where she is going to be getting her paychecks now, but let's recall that Lowry is married and her husband Javi Marroquin makes money from his job with the U.S. Air Force.

Plus, let's also recall: Kailyn is pregnant. In fact, she is around seven months pregnant by my estimation and that is right around the time when pregnancy starts to get hard. It wouldn't be shocking at all if she is quitting partially because she can, partially because it sounds like they might move, but also because the reality is, she doesn't have a ton of other options.

Let's face it: Childcare probably costs more than she makes and I am guessing she doesn't get a maternity leave. It's pretty depressing to have a new baby in the U.S.

I have no idea as to the particulars of Kailyn's job. Maybe she is one of the few lucky ones who gets a great paid maternity leave of 12+ weeks. Maybe she has options for childcare that DON'T cost upward of $24,000 a year. But I know I don't have those things and I have a lot more education and a full-time (not part-time) job.

The reality is, most working pregnant women, especially those working part-time jobs that require less education, are faced with not being sure whether their salaries will even cover childcare.

These aren't good choices. So, yes, Kailyn quit her job, but let's not pretend that is anything like the bad life choices that Jenelle Evans makes or anyone like her. For a new mom, there aren't that many options that support both career/job and children.

It's a sad fact.

Kailyn isn't one to make irresponsible decisions. If she quit her job, let's assume it's for a good reason.

'Teen Mom' Kailyn Lowry 'Leaks' Her Wedding Registry

It's full steam ahead on the wedding front for Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin. After the uber private Teen Mom 2 shocked fans by confirming her September wedding date, Kail has another surprise for us. Her wedding registry is up!

The bride-to-be (who is technically already married, albeit in a quickie courthouse wedding) and her Air Force hubby closed on their new house last week. So it's no surprise she packed her registry with everything it takes to make a house a home.

What is shocking?

Well, for starters, Kail's registry is open for the world to see.

Just after tweeting that she was registering, the star who has stayed pretty mum about her second pregnancy shared that she'd done the deed at Bed, Bath & Beyond. One look at the retail giant's site, and it's confirmed: Kail and "Jose Marroquin" (that's Javi's real first name) are indeed registered. And their wedding registry is wide open for everyone to see!

Sooooo, we now know that she wants linen and gray colored towels for her bathroom and mocha kitchen towels. Oh, and for dinnerware, Kail apparently prefers white with a graphite rim.

Sounds pretty tame, huh?

It is. If anything, the Teen Mom's wedding registry is exceedingly normal.

So normal, in fact, that it's almost shocking in how simple it is. There is nothing weird or over-the-top. The most expensive item on there is $450, but that's for a 10-piece set of cookware, not some useless crystal goblet.

Kail tweeted that she worried she'd put too much on the registry, but just one look at it, and she comes off as very down-to-earth and far from greedy (and trust me, I've seen some greedy brides in my day!). Heck, the only thing I don't really get is WHY she shared it.

Does she just want us to see how normal her life is, despite the fame? Or is she hoping that some of her fans want to chip in?

I don't mean that as a smack at Kailyn -- that is kind of the point of registries, isn't it? To get people to buy you stuff?

Or maybe Kail is just an excited bride who can't help sharing her good news because, hellooooo, she's getting married!

I'm thinking it's the latter. But if her fans do decide to chip in for wedding gifts, well, at least we know there are some inexpensive options for furnishing Kail's new home.
