Ready for a secret? Actress Sara Gilbert hopes so. The Talk co-host was spilling them this week in a special week of letting the cat out of the bag, and her's has as much to do with her one-time Roseanne star Johnny Galecki as it does herself.

It turns out Gilbert, who quietly came out of the closet three years ago, has known she was gay for a long time. Heck, she says she knew way back in her child star days, when she was working with and dating Galecki. And she was dating an older woman part of the time!

So how does the Big Bang Theory actor feel about his ex-girlfriend sharing that she was not really into him?

According to Gilbert herself, Galecki knew! And he kept her secret for her! Aww! That is true friendship.

Explaining what it was like telling her boyfriend why she would get depressed after a make-out session, Gilbert said:

He was super sweet about it ... No one knew at the show, and Johnny held the secret the whole time. I was always so scared if it came out.

It's hard enough for someone to come out of the closet to friends and family, but an actress has to do it to the whole country -- and people aren't always as accepting as they should be. Keeping that secret for her meant protecting Sara emotionally and probably even protecting her career.

Good for him! And good for Sara for finding the strength to be herself.

Johnny Depp Makes Open 'Dating Pact' With Amber Heard -- Good Luck With That

Johnny Depp. He's the sexy rebel who has made us swoon for years. We love his bad boy ways and have never expected the expected from him. So news of the 50-year-old's (I know, hard to believe he's 50!) "dating pact" with current girlfriend Amber Heard, 27, isn't necessarily surprising. It just feels doomed for disaster. 

First there were reports that Heard was getting fed up with Johnny 'smothering' her. Reportedly the tanking of The Lone Ranger had Johnny bummed out, and he was leaning too hard on her, driving her crazy. Now, Look magazine is reporting that Depp, willing to do anything to keep her, has laid out a very liberal "dating pact" that allows her to dip into the bisexual pool that she frequented before she and Depp became an item about 14 months ago (Heard previously dated photographer Tasya van Ree for four years). 

A "source close to the couple" said:

Johnny always knew this aspect of her life was important and he says as long as she makes it clear he’s her number one, she can do whatever she likes. It’s liberating for both of them. They are both very honest and open with each other and this pact has just made them stronger as a couple.

One of the stipulations is reportedly that she must tell him who she's with and what they're doing. AND that she must limit her extra affairs to women only.

Amber’s always been honest with Johnny and told him from the start that she can’t change who she is, and that she’ll always be interested in women as well as men. He has now promised her it’s fine if she has someone on the side, as long as they’re the same sex.

IF it's true (I'm skeptical that he'd really reveal something so personal), it all sounds so modern and accepting. We know monogamy certainly doesn't always have the best record, and if it works for them, then great. I just don't see how it will.

He seems to adore her, and she wants more. While there's usually one partner in a relationship who likes the other a little more, this seems bigger than that. His "pact" seems like a desperate move to try and keep her when she may not want to be kept.  I hope it works out for them, but my guess is we'll be seeing news of their split sooner rather than later.

Anastasia Steele Hopeful May Not Get Cast and It's All ... Johnny Depp's Fault?

While Fifty Shades of Grey fans are pulling their hair out wondering if they're going to be GOING GRAY before they hear some news about casting, an intriguing albeit questionable rumor -- originating from The Enquirer nonetheless -- about a potential Anastasia Steele is floating around ... Believe it or not, Johnny Depp's 27-year-old girlfriend Amber Heard has reportedly been up for the coveted role, but sources say Johnny told her to turn it down. Because -- get this -- he says it's too "smutty," but beyond that, he's apparently totally freaked by the idea of her doing sexy scenes with whomever is cast as Christian.

All I have to say is ... uh, REALLY?! On all accounts!

I guess I could see Amber at least being floated as a contender ... Maybe the casting agents were thinking she could dye her hair to be brunette? And yes, she has experience in sexy roles -- see The Playboy Club and the film on which she met Johnny, The Rum Diary. She's also been buzzed about the Next Scarlett Johansson or Angelina Jolie. But do any of those factoids scream "naive, uptight, virginal" college student to you? Pfft! No way! Much more believable to see her being up for the part of Kate Kavanaugh.

And the least believable bit of the story is that Johnny Depp would discourage Amber from taking a role that could really be a major career move for any young actress. I just don't see him as a control freak jerkazoid like that -- and doesn't the 50-year-old father of two have bigger fish to fry than micromanaging his girlfriend's career? Well, you never know! But ultimately, if Johnny, Fifty Shades casting directors, or Amber herself are keeping her from being cast as Ana, I have a feeling the flick will be better off!
