Sometimes, you just know you're a mom. Usually, it happens at the moment of birth. Sometimes, it happens when you first meet your adopted child. Sometimes, it takes a bit longer. It took social worker Connie Going 10 years to realize that 10-year-old Taylor Diaz was her son. But once she realized, that's all it took. Going had been trying to place Taylor, who had been taken from his drug-addicted parents when he was an infant, with a foster family. But due to behavioral problems, he was returned twice. But after seeing Taylor crying over the situation, she suddenly had an epiphany. Taylor was HERS!

Taylor and his two siblings were originally placed in a foster family arranged by Going. But his issues were too much for the family, who eventually returned him to foster care.

He was then placed with a second family, but that one too didn't pan out. Says Going:

All I could think about was how he was feeling and how he was blaming himself, again.

Taylor seems to have some perspective on his situation now, too, saying:

It was always somewhat my fault, but I didn't realize that, you know, when I was growing up.

Sometimes it can take awhile for your destiny to find you, or for you to realize something is your destiny. But it's never too late. And apparently these two were meant for each other.

After Going saw Taylor crying, she says:

You know that ache you get in your chest when your child is crying? I felt that. At that moment, he became my child.

So she stopped trying to find Taylor a home -- and adopted him!

Things didn't go totally smoothly at first. After Tyler threatened to run away, Going told him, "Taylor, I'm not sending you away."

Hearing that his various testing methods weren't resulting in being abandoned again, Taylor said, "Yeah, this is where I belong. She knows my worst side and she still cares about me and still loves me."

It may have taken a decade but the two of them are now exactly where they were supposed to be. Together.

Isn't that amazing?

Has a child ever tested you?

Kendall and Kylie Jenner's Wild Parties Are Perfectly Normal and Expected

Kendall Kylie JennerUh-oh. The Kardashians aren't known for being major party animals, but supposedly Kendall and Kylie Jenner are throwing wild bashes at their rented home in Malibu. Apparently the neighbors aren't too happy about it.

According to one source, "All hell has broken loose at the summer rental house. Kendall and Kylie are completely out of control -- they host ragers all week. Neighbors find teens passed out on the sand! The beach is littered with beer cans and empty wine cooler bottles, remnants of marijuana joints, and spent fireworks."

D'oh! That's not good. (And I thought Bruce was living in the Malibu pad. Or do Kendall and Kylie have their own place?!?)

Regardless of whether or not these two have their own summer haven away from mom and dad or if they're simply partying while Bruce is out of town, should we really be all that surprised if they're acting like, you know -- teenagers?

Kendall and Kylie are 17 and 16, respectively. News flash -- 16- and 17-year-olds tend to call their friends and have get-togethers, parties, and everything in between when there are no adults present. Ok, ok, so I know they're underage and shouldn't be drinking and smoking weed -- but how many parties did you attend as a teen where one or both of those things were present? And how many times did the party happen to be at your house when your parents were off on a cruise or something like that?

When I was in high school, I never had what I'd consider to be "ragers," but I did have more than a few gatherings that involved 20 kids or so when my parents were away and also when they were there. (We had a really cool house and my room was on the other side from theirs and you couldn't hear anything.)

And while I was never into the whole pot scene, I won't lie -- my friends and I knocked back our fair share of beers well before we turned 21, so it doesn't seem at all foreign to me that kids today are doing the same thing.

Sure, if Kendall and Kylie really are partying like it's 2013, they probably need to be more responsible about it and dial back on the illegal activity a bit. But I don't think anyone can really fault them for being exactly what they are -- teenagers who want to party and have a good time with their friends this summer.

Do you think Kylie and Kendall's behavior is normal given their ages?
