Last night, one of the best shows on television, Breaking Bad, aired its series finale, and fans everywhere were both celebrating and mourning what happened to the iconic Walter White. It was sadly a lifetime TV-highlight for me, feel free to judge. Mostly everyone was happy with the final exciting chapter of this character-driven drama, but you know there had to be one famous dissenter out there putting the kibosh on everyone else's excitement. Who else would it be other than Miley Cyrus?
Miley of course had some brilliant things to say about the series. In her Rolling Stone interview, she said: "America is just so weird in what they think is right and wrong. Like, I was watching Breaking Bad the other day, and they were cooking meth ... I could literally cook meth because of that show. It's a how-to."
Nice how Miley compares herself to a scientific genius on a fictional television show. Miley, just don't mess with Heisenberg, k?
She goes on to say: "And then they bleeped out the word 'f***.' And I'm like, really? They killed a guy, and disintegrated his body in acid, but you're not allowed to say 'f***'?"
That's kind of a good point actually, as bleeping out the f-word was rather distracting and kind of took away from some really important moments. They certainly had no (SPOILER ALERT) problems showing a guy getting his throat slashed with a box cutter or another guy's face half blown off ... yet we still can't say f*** in the same series? It's amazing how liberal shows are with violence, but when it comes to everything else ...
Sorry, where was I? Oh yeah, Miley taking on Walter. Of course she wasn't done. "There's a lot of [Walt] coughing," she complains. "I'm in the first season, and the coughing is driving me crazy. Like, we get it. You're dying. Do you really need a whole two-minute scene of another cough attack? It's too much. In every bad situation, how does he get out? He just starts coughing."
Why didn't anyone get Miley to recap Breaking Bad episodes?
Now I've seen every single episode from beginning to end in one large, really pathetic Netflix marathon viewing, and I don't recall Walter getting out of anything when he starts coughing. He usually gets out of them with his cunning, intellect, badassery, and sheer luck. Plus, the guy has super-advanced lung cancer! Is he only supposed to cough a couple times and then that's it? He's dying.
How hypocritical can Miley get? She's the queen of annoying, repetitive habits. From twerking to sticking her tongue out to wearing no clothing to always having to be the rebel, the naysayer, I think a lot of us would rather hear Walter cough than watch another performance of hers like the one from the VMAs.
I simply can't wrap my mind around the fact that Miley Cyrus is dissing Heisenberg. I just can't. Especially now that the series is officially over. She better be sure to double-check her Stevia.
