Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner appears to have ditched the writer's room and put season 7 on hold for the time being. Before you flip out and call the guy a slacker, let me clarify ... Weiner's first feature film, You Are Here, starring Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis, premiered in at the Toronto Film Festival this week. He's been hanging out with our neighbors to the north and chatting with the press.

Of course, everyone's curious about the flick but also can't help but ask him about Mad Men. And for that reason, it's a good thing he's not holed up, because he revealed some exciting details about what he's worked on so far and what we can expect when the show returns (maybe in April?!) ...

Weiner revealed to USA Today:

I opened the writer's room almost a month ago. I figure out the arc for the entire season first. I've known for a while (how it will go).

While we knew that, he made it sound like this seventh -- and most likely final -- season goes all out, leaving no stone unturned.

I don't want to leave anything on the table. It has its own organic direction.

So vague! "Organic direction"? What does that MEAN? He lets Don and Peggy and Joan and Betty, etc. lead him to the series' inevitably gasp-worthy climax? He spoke in a bit more detail to Vanity Fair:

Right now, I have a new challenge, which is how to end the show, so that is occupying my time.

But, Matt, we thought you had that ending figured out a long time ago ...?! Hmmm ...

He addressed VF's Q about whether he felt he "used up" that final image of Don looking at his childhood home with Sally, Bobby, and Gene by writing it into the finale of season 6:

I do have a different idea for the end of the series, but I’ll tell you, now that I’m at the bottom of the mountain looking up there, I have thought, “Wow, you idiot! You could have walked away from there.” But it’s an honor to have a challenge like this. And I love that 78 episodes into the series, people are telling me that they think that was the best episode of the show. How did that happen? I am lucky to have an audience that is invested. For me, the real pressure is living up to what those people expect. I do have an ending that is different than that, and hopefully when the series will be over, they will see it as another step in [Don’s] development.

Love that it sounds like what we want as fans and how we'll react to the show really is important to Weiner. He expressed to EW.com:

I went through this before with The Sopranos, and I can tell you that the audience is certainly more in your mind than it ever was.

Sounds like a good sign to me!

¿Esposa de Anthony Weiner la culpa por su ' sexting '--debe ella? (VIDEO)

Amigos dicen que culpó a la esposa de Anthony Weiner --al menos parcialmente--para su marido "sexting". ¿Te imaginas? Fuentes cercanas a Huma Abedin dijeron a la revista gente (en un tema que saldrá mañana) que Huma misma paliza cuando su weiner de un marido confesó el año pasado que había ido a sus caminos de sexting perro sucio. Huma sentí presuntamente que le dio cierta responsabilidad, porque había dejado de ir a terapia de matrimonio y había sido demasiada atención a su bebé recién nacido, Jordan poco.

¿Disculpa? ¿Qué pasa contigo, chica?

Si esto es cierto... y realmente espero por bien de Huma que no... entonces esta otra manera inteligente mujer realmente necesita ayuda. Ella necesita entender que no es culpar a la víctima, y si fuera su mejor amiga, hermana o mamá, quiero a secuestrar a un profesional para razonar con ella!

En todo este escándalo todo asqueroso, realmente intenté no ser crítico sobre el hecho de que Huma ha permanecido al lado de su desgracia, infiel a marido. (¡ Sí, te apuesto que considero "sexting" y participar en teléfono sexo engañando!) No importa mi opinión personal o lo que me gustaría pensar que lo haría en su lugar, lo que pasa entre dos personas es realmente su propio negocio. Algo he admirado el hecho de que Huma tenía la fuerza para permanecer a pesar del apoyo público que habría obtenido por dejar. Obviamente sentía que su matrimonio valía la pena poner el trabajo en a salvar, tanto por los votos que hizo y por el bien del bebé que tenía creciendo dentro de ella, cuando surgieron las denuncias de ' sexting ' original y su marido tuvo que dimitir de su puesto de congresista de Nueva York.

Un amigo llamado Rory Tahari dijo personas, "nunca quiso a Jordania a decirle, ' ¿por qué no hiciste todo lo posible para ayudar a papá?'" Cuando pienso en ello desde que perspectiva, pueda realmente, realmente entender donde Huma venía cuando ella decidió quedarse.

¿Pero yendo a lejos en cuanto a la culpa? Eso está mal. Es una enfermo y malsana forma de mirar esta situación. Hay una persona culpable, y esa persona es Anthony Weiner. Es su culpa y solo su culpa, que todo el mundo puede ahora ver fotos suyas, er, wiener si así lo desean. Él eligió a engañar a su esposa y su hijo, faltarle el respeto a sus votos y su casa de la familia.

¿Entiendes por qué Huma podría sentirse incluso parcialmente la culpa?

No hay nada como un poco de Kristin Chenoweth ponerte de buen humor. Ok, déjame decirlo. No hay nada como un poco de Kristin Chenoweth dando un consejo amistoso a Anthony Weiner a través de la canción para hacerte reír incontrolablemente. El Glinda original de Broadway smash Wicked hizo una interpretación épica de la canción "Popular" en The Tonight Show con Jay Leno del show anoche, y decir que es curioso es una gran subestimación.

Sí Sí, se pone un poco risque a veces (leer: ella hace referencia a su "sala de chat chubby"), pero es en la buena diversión. Vamos, Weiner actualmente en cuarto en las encuestas, el político puede usar todos los consejos que pueda conseguir! ¡ Y no te preocupes, Kristin también tiene algunas palabras sabias para esposa de Weiner Huma.

Weiner Aide Calls Ex-Intern ‘Slutbag’ and Worse in Rant Sure to Sink the Doomed Campaign

Oh Lord, the burning ship formerly known as Anthony Weiner's mayoral campaign flames on -- but I had no idea it would go this way. Now it's the ladies who are misbehaving publicly. After intern Olivia Nuzzi went rogue, spilling campaign dirt to the New York Daily News, Weiner's communications director went Real Housewives on her ass. In what is being called an "epic rant" with Talking Points Memo, Weiner aide Barbara Morgan called Nuzzi a "slutbag" -- and worse.

Put on your mud suits, everyone. Helmets on. It's about to get ugly around here. Here's what else Morgan said about her former intern.

I’m dealing with like stupid fucking interns who make it on to the cover of the Daily News even though they signed NDAs [non-disclosure agreements] and/or they proceeded to trash me.

Fucking slutbag. Nice fucking glamour shot on the cover of the Daily News. Man, see if you ever get a job in this town again.

It’s all bullshit. I mean, it’s such bullshit. She could fucking — fucking twat.

You know what? Fuck you, you little cunt. I’m not joking, I am going to sue her.

Okay, the worst is over. You may now wash off. Phew, that was rough. Kind of reminds me of this guy. (NSFW -- put on your headphones!)

Only not quite as witty. Work on your filthy metaphors, Babs. Work on those metaphors.

Morgan claims she said all of this off the record, but come on. She was talking to A REPORTER. Morgan also said of Nuzzi, "She sucked. She like wasn’t good at setting up events. She was clearly there because she wanted to be seen. Like it was, like, terrible and I had to like -- she would like, she would just not show up for work." All of which is much more relevant to Nuzzi's work history, though she could have left out all the "likes."

Now. I can understand Morgan's frustration. Not only is she playing for the losing team (did I mention Weiner's campaign manager just quit and he's in fourth place for a primary?), but her former intern openly mocked her in a big city paper. I would be furious, too.

But I'm just so very uncomfortable with this infelicitous name-calling, especially how misogynist she got about it. It makes Morgan look bad ... worse. I mean, if you've already got someone calling your credentials AS A COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR into question, maybe you should work extra hard at communicating effectively and not pull out a revolver and shoot your own foot about 50 times as if to prove her right.

Morgan issued an apology, but the damage was already done, alas. Nuzzi accepted it. But she also changed her Twitter bio to "Slutbag, twat and cunt."

You know, I just hate it when women attack each other in public like this. Yeah, Nuzzi attacked first. But Morgan missed an opportunity to come out as more mature, thoughtful, and professional. Man, I guess we'll see if she ever works in this town again, either.

¡ Por el amor de Dios, no otra vez! Anthony Weiner... suspirar. Hombre. ¿Sabes lo que voy a decir. ¿Sabes lo que viene. Esperábamos que nunca oír esta noticia, y aún, profundo dentro de todos nosotros sabía de que iba a pasar. Otra vez. Bueno, aquí va. Una mujer dice candidato a la Alcaldía NYC Anthony Weiner fue ' sexting ' le tan recientemente como el verano pasado.

¡ Chicos, él recayó. Salió segundos. ¿Cuánto quieres saber? Es como si estuviéramos en el consultorio esperando oír cómo arruinados son nuestros dientes. ¿Es unas cavidades o una endodoncia? Amigos, creo que estamos viendo una endodoncia. Se reúnen ' alrededor de la fogata para un conmovedor relato de lo que Weiner hizo!

El sitio web de chismes TheDirty.com dice que tiene conversaciones sexualmente explícitas entre Weiner y 20-algo mujer. Las conversaciones se pasó después (maldito después!!!) Weiner renunció al Congreso en medio de escándalo, las llamas y el humo que emana de su carrera política prometedoras. Algunas de las conversaciones ocurrió en fecha tan reciente como un maldito último verano para llorar en voz alta. No sé si éste es el detalle más vergonzosa, pero siento que debo decirte: a veces Weiner se refirió a sí mismo como Carlos peligro.

El sucio tiene imágenes de convos sexualmente explícito de Formspring y Facebook. También desde Facebook: fotos. Alaska La mujer afirma que la relación duró unos seis meses.

Ahora. Esto es algo que hace la gente, y es divertido (ejem, así que he oído), y no es gran cosa... si eres soltero. Si eres una figura pública casada candidato a la Alcaldía de la gran manzana, es colosalmente mala idea. Si eres una figura pública casada candidato a la Alcaldía de la gran manzana y ya ha sido atrapado y perdió su trabajo y casi perdió a su familia sobre esto, entonces tienes un problema. No es sólo pobre juicio, eso es adicción.

¿Pero son los verdaderos alegatos esta vez, o era esto todo cocinada por el principal rival de Christine Quinn? Bueno, al parecer algo de esto es cierto. Es cierto. Anthony Weiner emitido (oh Dios, por qué usaron esa palabra?) una declaración esta tarde:

Le dije que otros textos y fotos tenían probabilidades de salir, y que hoy tienen. Como he dicho en el pasado, esas cosas que hice fueron mal e hirientes a mi esposa y causaron que vayamos a través de desafíos en nuestro matrimonio que se extendía más allá de mi dimisión del Congreso. Mientras que algunas cosas que han sido escritos hoy son verdaderos y otros no, no hay ninguna duda que lo que hice estuvo mal. Este comportamiento está detrás de mí. Has disculpado a Huma y estoy agradecido de que ha trabajado a través de estos temas conmigo y por su perdón. Quiero decir otra vez que lo siento mucho a alguien que estaba en el extremo receptor de estos mensajes y los trastornos que esto ha causado. Como mi esposa y yo hemos dicho, estamos enfocados en avanzar.

Oh Sí, esposa de Weiner. ¿Entonces que dice que ya lo sabe, y ellos han trabajado entre los dos? Exactamente, ¿cómo funciona eso? Porque cuando un esposo traiciona una segunda o tercera vez, hay esta ira incandescente que quema todo a rastrojo y te quedas examina su vida y pidiendo a tus amigos para recomendar un buen abogado, porque obviamente esta persona va a hacer esto a otra y otra vez. Así que he oído.

Supongo que tendremos que ver quién es más indulgente, neoyorquinos o esposa de Weiner. Pero decirte que Weiner no va a cambiar, no sin ayuda significativa. Y aún así...
