pancakeNow that the weather is cooling down (sigh), I think it's technically illegal to ingest foods that don't contain the ingredients pumpkin, cinnamon, apple, nutmeg, or caramel. So these Apple Pancakes With Caramel Syrup are the perfect way to stay within legal confines, and you basically get to have dessert for breakfast. They're delicious. Nutritious(ish). And fantastically easy to make.

Apple Pancakes With Caramel Syrup

Ingredients:

Pancakes:

1/4 cup butter, melted1 egg1 cup milk1 cup shredded tart apple1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 tablespoon white sugarSyrup:

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 tablespoon white sugar

Instructions:

Pancakes:

1. In a large bowl, combine butter, egg, milk and apple. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and sugar. Stir flour mixture into apple mixture, just until combined.

2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Syrup:

Mix the brown sugar, half-and-half, butter and salt in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook while whisking gently for 5 to 7 minutes, until it gets thicker. Add the vanilla and cook another minute to thicken further. Drizzle over pancakes.

cinnamon rollsSince discovering the convenience of crock pot cooking, I've come upon a host of amazing recipe, but this one for crock pot cinnamon rolls has got to be among the most amazing. Just thinking of coming home to the smell of these makes me giddy.

I love the idea of getting up early, putting these in the crock pot then heading out for a run, to church, or to the park for a couple of hours, and coming back to these waiting for us. This recipe from Just a Pinch is super simple too, as you start with refrigerated buttermilk biscuits as the base. Topped with a delicious, sweet glaze, they'll be your new breakfast best friend.

1 can(s) 10 count refrigerated flaky or buttermilk biscuits1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed

Directions

Coat crock pot with cooking spray liberally. In a small bowl mix melted butter and vanilla. In another bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon.Separate the biscuits; roll each biscuit in the butter mixture and then in the brown sugar mixture. Place the prepared biscuits in the crock pot and sprinkle with nuts, if desired.Cover the top of the crock pot with a large sheet of paper towel and then place lid on the towel. (This helps prevent condensation from dripping on the rolls).Cook for 2 to 3 hours, on medium. --- Mix glaze ingredients and pour over the warm rolls on serving plate.Click the "Like" button below to get a tasty recipe every day on Facebook. slow cooker beef stewOk ok, so it's not technically fall quite yet, but it is mid-September. The kids are back in school. There's football on TV. New television shows are premiering. It's time to put away the flip-flops. The leaves are changing. And the temperatures are cooling. So time to celebrate the coming of a new season with an easy, time-saving, delicious, savory beef stew made in a slow cooker. Sounds pretty awesome right about now, huh? And you can indulge a little since you don't have to worry about rocking that bikini until next summer (thank goodness).

Not only is fall a gorgeous time of year, it's the best to come home to the warm, inviting scents of classic comfort food. Of course, the best part of any beef stew is how versatile it is. Throw in any kind of vegetables you want, but after a day's worth of slow cooking, they're sure to taste amazing and perfectly complement the tender, juicy beef. Enjoy!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew from AllRecipes

Ingredients:

2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

1 bay leaf

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 onion, chopped

1 1/2 cups beef broth

3 potatoes, diced

4 carrots, sliced

1 stalk celery, chopped

Directions:

1. Place meat in slow cooker. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery.

2. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.
