Whether or not you've been watching season 17 of Dancing With the Stars, you've surely heard the buzz over contestant Amber Riley and her crazy awesome moves. The Glee star has been tearing it up on the dance floor with her partner Derek Hough and kicking some serious competition booty. The DWTS front runner caught up with People after her performance Monday night and told them that all the effort is really paying off. "[This has] really taught me that I can do more than I thought I could."

That statement gives me chills. I mean, Amber has been working her butt off to learn the dances and give her best performance. Just like any fitness goal, whether it be to lose 15 pounds or complete a local 5K or race, there's no greater feeling than seeing your hard work pay off. I think it's safe to say that many many of us can relate to that overwhelming feeling of accomplishment.

As someone who has been training for a marathon for the last few months, I can most definitely relate. I NEVER thought that I would be undertaking such a lofty goal, especially as someone who used to tip the scales at over 200 pounds. But that all makes every run even more special and meaningful. I know that when I cross the finish line, this will forever be an accomplishment that I worked hard to achieve, one that I NEVER thought I'd do. That makes it all the better. 

On a national stage, Amber's an inspiration to many people that if you set your mind to something, you can do it. It can't be easy learning all of these dances, getting out on that stage week after week and not missing a beat. I'm just waiting to see if she becomes one of those stars who sheds a ton of pounds in her effort to win the mirror ball trophy. Either way, Amber is lookin' fine out there!

Man Gives New Meaning to the Term 'Beer Gut' With His Bizarre Brewing Abilities

Talk about a beer gut! A Texas man has a rare disorder that results in food being fermented inside of his stomach. In other words, it turns into alcohol! In fact, the guy was so sloshed all of the time that his family all thought he was an alcoholic! On the contrary, he had something called Gut Fermentation Syndrome, or "auto-brewery syndrome" (perfect name), which meant that when he ate starches, he had a chemical reaction that turned his food into hooch.

The man's condition was only discovered when he stumbled into a hospital -- drunk -- and said he didn't feel well. He tested five times over the legal limit and doctors asked him how much he'd had to drink. He insisted he had had nothing to drink!

Tests revealed that his stomach essentially makes beer. A lot of people would love that -- think of all the money you could save -- but the reality is, it must be a nightmare. This poor dude would suddenly get "drunk" out of nowhere.

Reportedly, his wife was so fed up with his chronic drinking, and his chronic denials about it, that she bought a Breathalyzer. The guy is now on a low-carb diet so he doesn't have much in his system to turn into ale.

Gut Fermentation Syndrome is a "relatively unknown" phenomenon in medicine. However, you can only imagine that there were people who had it and no one ever believed they weren't really drinking! That must be surreal and horrible for them. Everyone thinking they're drinking, when, in fact, they have a serious health issue going untreated.

The problem is caused by an "overgrowth of yeast in the gut whereby the yeast ferments carbohydrates into ethanol."

In the last three decades, there have been only a few cases reported. And two of those were children! In one case, a 3-year-old girl became intoxicated after ingesting a carbohydrate-rich fruit drink.

Yikes. Well, this sounds super rare, but it just goes to show you, you shouldn't necessarily judge people too harshly. You never know what weird shit is actually happening with them.

Luckily, the problem can be fairly easily controlled. It's just getting people to believe that you're not actually an alcoholic that's the issue!

Maya Rudolph Gives Birth to Baby #4: Is She Nuts?!

Congratulations are in order for actress Maya Rudolph who, alongside Oscar-nominated director Paul Thomas Anderson, has welcomed her fourth child. The couple is keeping a tight lip on the child's gender, name, and actual birth date, which isn't typical in tell-all Hollywood, but kudos to them for attempting to retain some privacy in these precious early weeks. The 41-year-old Bridesmaids star and her 43-year-old husband already have their hands full with Pearl, 7, Lucille, 3, and Jack, 2. 

So now comes the big question -- the one that's so much more important than those inevitable ones she'll get about how she managed to shrink back to a size 4 just weeks after giving birth: is Rudolph a super woman or simply nuts for raising three kids under age 4 at the same time?

Don't get me wrong. I respect the funny pants off her for having enough energy, courage, and love within her to just go for it. Rudolph herself told pal Salma Hayek just last year that she coudn't believe she had three children and was "never doing this again." So it's not crazy to speculate that at least one of the following thoughts may have crossed her mind when she saw that positive pregnancy test:

Holy cow. Can we do this? Will this be the one that breaks me? And where exactly do we store three sizes of diapers, even in this fabulous mansion in which we live? 

On a personal note, I'm expecting my second child this spring, and my 2-year-old is still as anti-toilet as a human can get. I have nightmarish visions in my head of having to change two diapers simultaneously and tend to two screaming children and just absolutely sucking at it all. I constantly wonder whether I am crazy for not waiting a few more years, at least until my child doesn't scream at the sight of a toilet seat. 

I understand that, at age 41, Rudolph doesn't have the luxury of waiting years until her entire brood is in school before she has another baby. And maybe she just loves the idea that her babies are so close in age that the likelihood is strong they'll grow up with a great bond. You have to admit that, once she gets over the crazy toddler hump and nutty teen years, family holidays will probably be a lot of fun at their house.

'50 Shades of Grey' Fan Trailer Gives Us a First Glimpse at Charlie and Dakota's Hot Chemistry (VIDEOS)

With Charlie Hunnam now out there talking to the press and touting the "tangible chemistry" he felt with co-star Dakota Johnson during their test read for Fifty Shades of Grey, fans are getting antsy to see and hopefully believe that the two have palpable sexual tension.

Of course, for months before we knew who would be cast, fans were making trailers that tested the chemistry between various hopeful Christians and Anas ... Now, obviously someone has already made one featuring Charlie and Dakota! And it's definitely a tease. Check it out. But be warned it's probably NSFW!

All right, so they're both blonde in the clip, which we can pretty much bet won't be the case ... Well, at least for Dakota, who is expected to go brunette a la Anastasia. And I'm sure Charlie won't have long-ish hair as he does here. (Except maybe when Christian has that breakdown after Ana leaves him and he lets himself get all scruffy and raggedy?) But still, pretty nice mashup of some of the actors' sexiest scenes, giving us a taste of what we can expect! 'Course the real deal trailer will be much more telling ... But rumor has it we'll have to wait until winter -- maybe during the Super Bowl? -- to get the first official teaser trailer.

In the meantime, I'm sure more fan trailers featuring the legit leads will crop up. Even more generic (albeit very profesh-looking!) ones are fun to watch! Like this one ...

Khloe Kardashian Gives Lamar Odom a Major Ultimatum -- But Will He Do It?

We can't say we didn't see this one coming ... Khloe Kardashian has finally kicked Lamar Odom out of the house and won't allow him back until he completes a stint at rehab. It has been a really rough week for Khloe. Just Friday, Odom was arrested for a DUI for driving slowly and in a "serpentine" manner. Apparently, Khloe found out about it on the news! Odom nor his lawyer even bothered to tell Khloe themselves, according to TMZ.

Odom was apparently involved in a three-car collision just a week ago on the same freeway.

Khloe and Lamar apparently spent 4 hours talking last night about his addiction issues before Odom was seen leaving the house, according to TMZ. Apparently this was after he came home with several DVDs he rented from a video store (photo above). What a strange thing to do after being arrested and on the verge of a breakup with your wife!

This is not the first time that Khloe has kicked her basketball star husband out of the house, but it might be the last. A moving van was spotted at the couple's mansion just a few days ago, and Kris Jenner apparently had an "emergency" meeting with some high-profile divorce lawyer earlier in the week.

Talk about a very unrelaxing Labor Day Weekend for the Kardashian crew. It might be time for another photo of North West to pop up to take all our minds off of this. Because this is getting exhausting.
