Okay, okay. We know what you're thinking ... whaaaa?! Like, WHAAAA?! Like, we can't possibly be talking about Alexander Skarsgard Alexander Skarsgard and Meryl Streep Meryl Streep, can we?! As in True Blood and Sophie's Choice?! Well, yes. Yes we can. Now, before you lose it altogether, you should know that we have no proof of a romance between the vampire god and the queen of the Oscars ... but we have very good reason to believe these two might be destined to be together.

Here's the thing: Director Philip Noyce is making a film adaptation of "The Giver" (remember, from middle school? By Lois Lowry?). So far, the movie is starring Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep. BUT, also in talks to join the cast are Cameron Monaghan (Shameless) and ... Alexander Skarsgard!!! AND anyone who knows anything about Alexander Skarsgard's love life knows that ASkars always hooks up with his leading ladies!!

Now, Meryl Streep isn't strictly playing Alexander Skarsgard's leading lady -- they're not like, into each other or anything in the movie. But still!! Think about it: Kate Bosworth (his co-star in Straw Dogs). ELLEN PAGE ARGGGGGHHH!! (his pint-sized co-star in The East). Evan Rachel Wood (True Blood.)

You see where we're going with this?? 

Hey, if it really happens? More power to ya, Meryl. Just let us know when you're finished with him ...
