Miley Cyrus Goes Topless to Show Us That New Leaf She's Turning Over

Oh, Miley, Miley. As much as we want to believe the 20-year-old is open to changing her wild ways, her actions -- which most recently include dropping her top to pose with her tongue out on the cover of Rolling Stone -- are preventing us from trusting her. 

Why does she insist on giving interviews where she addresses that unfortunate VMA twerking episode by stating, "I'll probably never do that s--t again" when we all know she's probably holed up by her swimming pool right now plotting something even more silly and "shocking." Following the events of her life has become an effort as draining as trying to keep our own kids out of trouble. 

Still, in her latest interview, she hints that she may just turn over a new leaf ...

Miley insists that, despite what people think of her after the VMAs, she isn't about to come out twerking every time she makes an appearance. She also claims she wasn't trying to be sexy when she rubbed up against Robin Thicke, and that if her goal was to be provocative, she certainly could have been. The actress and singer, who recently called it quits with ex-fiance Liam Hemsworth, also hinted at the possibility that she was taking work far more seriously. She said she would love to "mentor" Justin Bieber (which just seems like a bad idea) and is graciously receiving career advice from good friend Kanye West. 

And, as if we needed proof that this poor girl is as insecure as any other woman fresh out of her teen years, she drops a major hint by revealing that she asked Kanye to repeat the nice words he said to her before the VMAs. He said, "There are not a lot of artists I believe in more than you right now." The compliment helped quell her performance anxiety.

I don't know. I look at Miley and just see a girl going through a typical wild phase that is, unfortunately, public in her case. And since I've seen her clad in even far more revealing clothing in her everyday life, this cover shoot is, sadly, refreshing. I predict she still has a few crazy stints up her sleeve, but that -- like Britney Spears -- is going to grow out of this stage of her life sooner rather than later.

Soy una mamá fórmula que aprecia una imagen hermosa la lactancia materna . Así desmayé cuando vi esta preciosa foto del modelo verano Ymre Stiekema posando en topless y la lactancia materna en la edición de octubre de Vogue España. 

El modelo es de estilo para asemejarse a un Vermeer moderno pintura, completo con un gorro holandés y una expresión orgullosa pero austera en su rostro.

Algunos argumentarán que las imágenes como ésta son irrelevantes o incluso perjudiciales--que perpetúan las Guerras a mami. Es decir, lo entiendo: ¿Qué diablos tiene la lactancia materna que ver con la moda? Y ¿por qué insiste en hacer que las mujeres que no, no, Vogue, o no amamantar sentir aún más inadecuada de lo que a veces ya?

Pero hay tres razones por las fotos como ésta son increíblemente importante y útil, a todas las mamás.

Ayudan a normalizar el concepto de la lactancia materna a una nación que sigue, en general, siendo incómoda con la lactancia de las mujeres en público. A veces es la única manera de hacer algo que parece tan normal como es a la gente descarga continuamente con imágenes hasta que esas imágenes son, pues, en absoluto sorprendente. Aunque me amamantó durante sólo dos meses, considero que es una agresión a todas las mujeres cuando nos tratan como si nuestros cuerpos son una fuente de vergüenza.  Inspiran confianza en las madres que han sido enseñadas a creer que la lactancia materna es un acto de drenaje proporcionando fuertes imágenes de mujeres que parecen seguros y en control mientras alimenta a su hijo. Si eres una madre fórmula, impresionante. Pero si eres una madre que está indecisa sobre la lactancia materna, imágenes como estas pueden reforzar la idea de que todas las mujeres no colapsar en una pila agotada cada vez que enfermera.Ayudan a transmitir el mensaje de que la lactancia materna no define una madre--es simplemente algunas madres hacer algo para alimentar a sus bebés. En muchas imágenes de la lactancia, las mujeres parecen estar tomando un descanso del trabajo o simplemente muestran a mujeres incorporación de enfermería en su rutina diaria. La lactancia materna es parte de su vida, pero no toda su vida.

Kristen Stewart Goes Topless in New Ad and YOWZA (PHOTO)

Think what you want of Kristen Stewart and her smile that seems to inveterately (yeah, I took the SATs) find itself in the lost and found, but the girl takes a good photo. The Twilight actress recently shed all her clothes, going topless for a Balenciaga perfume ad, and Christ on a cracker, she looks good. And tasteful, people! The woman looks tasteful!

It seems like every time a model or an actress goes nude for a photo, it's the same damn pose: The Cupping of the Boobs. Or, as it's less formally known, Fist Full-O-Tatas. I love that Kristen's back is toward us while she forlornly gazes over her shoulder, as if to say: "I'm just a lonely, misunderstood girl whose only solace is found whilst sitting naked with flowers draped across my back."

That said, this isn't an easy look to pull off. I feel like most celebs, save for Angelina Jolie, would look kind of silly in this particular position with this particular expression on their face. It's almost as if KStew's perma-scowl has been a lifelong preparation for this very photoshoot. She looks completely natural in this ad. Almost ... unsettlingly so.

Kristy, bravo on your new ad! You look gorgeous! And way to break the mold on the topless photo. You're a true trailblazer.
