Dr. PhilDr. Phil is a person that many go to for advice and guidance on their lives, but it seems that he is the one who needed guidance recently when he tweeted a question about rape that was so offensive to his many followers, he was forced to delete it. Sadly for him, the damage was done.

Across the web, many people were up in arms, protesting the tweet and tweeting in anger.

Just what was so bad? Well, see for yourself.

By posing the question, Dr. Phil (how is this man a "Dr." anyway?) implies that there is at least some possibility that there IS a question. SO to make it clear: No. It's never OK to have sex with a woman or a girl when she is drunk or sleeping or impaired in any way. That's just a fact.

If a girl is drunk, is it OK to have sex with her? Reply yes or no to @drphil #teensaccused.

Now we all know that celebrities like Dr. Phil are not ACTUALLY manning their twitter accounts. But someone is. And someone's head should probably roll for this. After all, this wasn't the tweet of a person who cares about others and isn't that what Dr. Phil purports to be? Sure, he's all tough love, but does he really condone rape?

Why is this question still being asked? It's 2013. We have seen AWFUL cases like Steubenville among many others like it. We have seen girls bullied online to the point of suicide all because of things that happened when they were drunk. It's called rape. We should be teaching our boys as well as our girls that it's NEVER OK to have sex with someone who is too impaired to consent. Period.

Dr. Phil is apparently a role model for someone (who?!), and as such, he shouldn't be walking this line. Sure, the question could just be a feeler. Whoever sent it could have been trying to take the general temperature and not implying that a "yes" answer was acceptable.

But it's our job as adults to make sure that everyone understands that having sex with a drunken girl isn't a question. It's just a no. Always. Someone in the public eye should be especially mindful of this.

Truly, it's appalling. Let's hope Dr. Phil and whoever tweets for him has learned from this. This won't be tolerated.

Do you think Dr. Phil's tweet was out of line?

Gia AllemandThe news that Gia Allemand had died by suicide continues to shock fans of the Bachelor who recall her as a sweet girl and former model who rose to fame during Jake Pavelka's season of the show. Now a look at the reality star's Twitter account shows had spoken of suicide in the past.

TMZ pored over Allemand's Twitter account and uncovered several mentions of having been bullied, as well as mentions of bullying victims who have committed suicide. At the time, the reality star credited her mother for teaching her to be nice to people rather than to be a bully herself.

Said Gia in October:

As a victim of being bullied most of my life, I'm gonna say that people who can say mean things to other people and put them down are just insecure and depressed with their own life! Glad my momma always told me 'if you don't have something nice to say than don't say it.

Days later she shared several tweets about Amanda Todd, a bullied teenager who committed suicide, including this particularly heartbreaking one:

Words Hurt.  Pain Lasts.   And suicide last forever.

Gia's mom, Donna Micheletti, has chosen not to speak out specifically about her daughter's death, but she did release a statement explaining when she will talk about the tragedy and advising people to steer clear of Twitter comments on her death.

In part, the statement from Gia's family, released to People earlier in the week, read:

The family and close friends of Gia Allemand have not spoken to the media to date, nor have they posted comments or insight on Twitter. There are numerous statements and theories in the media regarding Gia's death and her life that refer to sources close to Gia or friends of hers.

As Micheletti points out, it would be unfair to speculate whether Gia's past mentions of suicide and bullying have any bearing on this tragedy, but they are certainly a reminder that we need to be aware of the tenor of friends' and family members' tweets.

If the words someone is using -- even online -- indicate they may be considering suicide, or if you yourself have wrestled with the idea, please reach out to a suicide hotline. There is ALWAYS someone there who wants to listen and who will take you seriously. You can call the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK.

drakeYou know, amidst all this Amanda Bynes insanity, I've been wondering what the hell Drake was thinking. For those of you in the dark, Amanda has fired off some very strange tweets about the singer. Some of her classics: "I want Drake to murder my vagina"; "Drake has ugly downward facing eyes"; "@drake is a hot fellow :)D"; "Drake is Rocking That Incest Face"; "They airbrushed @drake to make his eyes look like he doesn’t have down syndrome!"; and "Loving far apart eyes @drake". Drake never responded to any of Amanda's tweets (some of which were written to him directly), or has made any mention at all of what he thinks of this weirdness. Until now. Drake has finally addressed the Amanda Bynes tweets, and well, I'm a little surprised at what he has to say.

In the new issue of XXL magazine, Drake said of the tweets: "I don't even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me." He continued: "Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going."

In some respects, Drake is completely dead-on. It is weird. It is disturbing. And it is a behavioral pattern bigger than him (or anyone). But that said, I do think Amanda is the person behind the Twitter account. At first, I was skeptical, because the things that were being written were so ridiculously out there. But the more the tweeting went on; the more we saw of Amanda; and the more we learn about her mental health situation, I really can't see how it could be anyone but her. Drake's probably just not up to speed on the latest Amanda Bynes goings on, because he has much better things to do with his life, which, good for him.

Hopefully, Amanda is getting the help she so desperately needs right now, and when she's better, will issue an apology to Drake for the incredibly rude and hurtful things she's said about him. But in the meantime, it's nice to know that dude isn't losing any sleep over this nonsense.

What do you think of this?
